For that job they were quick, came in one day, did the measurements, returned the next day to install and it came out beautiful. This time, November 2024, I had a renovation to an apartment I acquired that I intended to sell. I tried to be a big girl and be my own GC and reach out to the contractors that were used before. I had called VC Flooring, talked to Betty and we continued our further discussions via text. Everything went flawlessly as the first time, he came to measure, returned another day and did the install... or so I thought.... Fast forward to the apartment being done and all I needed was the appliances installed. The delivery guys from Home Depot come with my appliances. They go to put the refrigerator in and it doesn't fit. I'm not there for the install, my elderly mother is. They tell my mom that the counter is too big and needs to be cut down! She passes on the info, I end up forwarding the texts, pictures and messages to Betty. Betty informs me that she will have the installer come back out to cut the counter. The installer returns to cut the counter down but by doing so would require smaller cabinets. So technically, everything was correct on their end, it was the refrigerator was too big! Thankfully, VC Flooring did not charge me extra for all the headache and return trips. Thank you Betty and team for all your assistance with this learning process for me.

He was very personable and his experience speaks volumes. Troy is easy to work with and tries to get the kitchen you want. He always kept me in the loop regarding time frame or supply issues. When my original electrician couldn't take on the job a few days before demolition, Troy found an electrician that I am more than pleased with. His assistant, Kurt was very professional in his work. He also gave me a few hints that worked out for the best. He's able to look at the whole picture and visualize the best outcome. The renovation of my kitchen was an idea I had for many years. Needless to say, we have our trust in owner Troy Tanaka. He and his assistant, Kurt Nishi are super nice and friendly. They are very skilled in what they do and take pride in their workmanship. Troy communicated well with everything that would be happening. Troy's office manager Nani, is right on top of things and sends us emails promptly. Although we haven't met her personally, we know she is a nice person and does her job well.

Doug Rhodes and his son, Spencer, of Oahu Stone installed our countertops. It looks like an amateur…read moredid the installation work. The countertops are not level and they angle up on two ends. The backsplash has gaps of 1/2 in between the bottom of the cupboards and the backsplash. There is a crack near the sink. When I contacted Mr. Rhodes about the problems he said it was because the base cupboards were "substantially " uneven. This is not the case. He made no effort to come out and discuss the issues.
