I'd driven past this place so many times but had never stopped in. With the temperatures finally heating up, it seemed like the perfect time to give it a try. It's tucked away in a shopping plaza between a Mexican restaurant and a barbershop, making it easy to miss if you're not looking for it. The shop itself is on the smaller side, so it can feel a bit crowded during busy times. But the ice cream is well worth it. There's a great selection of flavors to choose from, and once you pick your favorite (or two!), you can customize it with mix-ins like sprinkles, chocolate chips, coconut flakes, and more. Everything is blended together and served however you prefer--whether that's in a cup, waffle cone, or waffle bowl. They also offer chocolate-dipped waffle cones and bowls for an extra treat. Another highlight is their giant cookie cakes, which looked delicious and perfect for celebrations. I wanted some good marble slab strawberry ice-cream and this was the closest business to me. It was my first time and good thing I perused the menu before entering because I felt a little rushed to order. However, they were friendly and not too busy. When you order, you select a cup size or waffle bowl, your ice-cream flavor and up to six toppings. I ordered a waffle bowl, strawberry ice-cream and added the following topings: Mini marshmallows, sundae nuts, strawberries and marshmallow sauce. It was made quickly, so I was in and out in less than five minutes. I walked straight to the car, getting ready to tear into my waffle bowl and saw tons of thin white fuzzies all over my waffle bowl. It was like they have them sitting in a fuzzy napkin or something. I spent more time picking those off then the time it took for me to place and pickup my order. After clearing my waffle bowl, I finally got to taste my ice-cream and it was so delicious! By the time I started trying to break my waffle bowl, I had a hard time because it was so hard. It was hard to chew and hard to break. It sounded like I was chewing on pop rocks and it felt like I was chewing on jawbreakers. Maybe next time, I'll just stick to the ice-cream cups! read more

This is my favorite and an amazing ice cream place especially the birthday cake flavor! that is my go to and tonight after work i decided to stop by and get a quart of just plain birthday cake ice cream. ive gotten a quart a few times before and it has been great but unfortunately tonight i got a quart and was disappointed with how much was in it. i know it sounds dramatic but its $19 for a quart of ice cream so i was disappointed when i got home and it wasnt filled all the way. like there were spots that were just empty and even in the middle of it there were empty spots. in their defense they were pretty busy at the time that i went but for the price i would have liked it to be full. the ice cream still tasted great tho so i cant complain about that! edit: I would just like to add that the owner got in contact with me and gave me a free quart. We've been here a number of times and the service is always great. The ice cream is ok, but what really makes it are the toppings and being able to create your own concoction. If I was going for rich pre-made flavors I'd probably choose Hattie Jane's, Cold Grill, or even the traditional Baskin Robbins ice cream, but half the fun is making your own flavor from their bases. Yummy yummy yummy!!! I've never ordered cinnamon ice cream, and I must say, it's a game changer for my pallet! I mixed the cinnamon icecream with cheesecake icecream, and added cheesecake chunks and fresh strawberries, all in a white chocolate and sprinkled dipped waffle bowl. With all that sugar, although it was a SUPER tasty mix, I wasn't able to finish my tasty treat. I was on a sugar high 1/2 way through! the ice cream is amazing it's my favorite. however it's almost impossible to order from there online. if you don't order over an hour before they close they will cancel your order. I don't mean 10 minutes before close. they don't close until 9pm and I placed my order at 8:07 and they cancelled it immediately. this has happened several times to myself and my sister. read more

I wasn't impressed approaching due to the trash can overflowing all over the sidewalk with ice cream cups. Flies were covering cups of uneaten ice cream on their bench & curb. I let the employees know when we walked in & their reply was "we don't do that". WOW! I asked the employees a few questions to help us decide but their responses were unfriendly & snarky. They were not understaffed, 5 employees just stood behind the counter while it was clear there was some cleaning & stocking(napkin dispensers were empty & only 3 spoons left) to be done. I hate to say it, this used to be one of my favorite ice cream shops in town , but with more competition and better customer service at other local hot spots I would have to say avoid this one. We arrived at around 4:30 on a Saturday, with no line and a few other patrons eating at the establishment. The staff are entirely teenagers, which is not a problem for me, we have all been there what with a first job and all, but it seemed like the young girl helping me and my husband out would have rather been anywhere but there at that moment. She asked us what we wanted, we both stated our orders, and I made it a point to ask for a regular size ice cream in a plain waffle bowl. She asked what size and I told her regular, still no smile or even an "ok, coming up!", just a mindless stare and a half hearted scoop of the semi-melted ice cream in the cooler. While my husband got his order with no issues, I noticed the young girl helping me had barely mixed my toppings with much implied pain on her part into the melting mess before scooping it lazily into a plain cup. I said "sorry, I thought I said a waffle bowl." No real malice or ill intent, I just wanted a waffle bowl is all. The young girl proceeds to give me a sarcastic, dead eyed glare, as if I had asked her to hike to the alpines to fetch me the freshest spring water. Now at this point I had already paid, and even tipped the young girl since I believe that everyone deserves a tip in food service, but at that point I had instantly regretted doing so. She merely tossed the cup away and scooped the mostly soft and partially melted ice cream into a waffle bowl as requesting, holding it over the plastic barrier and trying hard to not look at me now. I really hate to be petty like this but come on, please for the love of God muster up a little enthusiasm for your job! And treat people the way you would want to be treated! Everyone else was awesome and my husband enjoyed his edible cookie dough, but $12 for cookie dough, melted ice cream in a waffle bowl, and a sour attitude have pushed me away from a once tried a true favorite. At least there are plenty of other awesome ice cream shops around! read more

As the employee was fixing my order in front of me, he kept chopping at the ice cream with the scoop and pushing small amounts to the side. I assumed that some other topping had gotten mixed with the cooke doe and he didn't want anything mixed in I hadn't asked for. He handed me my ice cream and my first lick produces a hair. I looked up and he was looking at me in horror. I didn't want to look disappointed in front of my son, so I sucked it up and said it was okay. I figured that was what the employee had been trying to cut away the whole time. I kept licking but had to give up after finding FOUR hairs in my ice cream. I took my daughter and a bunch of her friends, to Marble Slab Creamery, last week. I have to say, the staff was friendly, welcoming, and managed the group of giggly teenagers, with ease. One by one they placed, and received their orders, quickly. The staff also was kind enough to allow us to move some tables around, to accommodate our large group. We stayed for quite a while, as the girls chatted, giggled, and enjoyed their ice cream. Some places make you feel like you need to eat, and get out, to move as many people through, as quickly as possible. That is just not the case with Marble Slab. They were kind, and had no problem with us taking our time. My only small complaint is the cost, they are a bit overpriced. We will definitely be back. read more

Just got back from getting the Majestic Shake... $10.90 with tax. The fruity pebbles were stale and the marshmallow was stale. And, yes the cotton candy was stale. Once you pick out your ice cream then you pick your many choices of mix ins and then the cone or bowl. My goodness the choices can be hard to make. The service kinda sucked. We were rushed in our decision while they barely listened to us and talked to each other. It took a good 5 minutes of standing at checkout for someone to clue in that we should be rung up. There are 4 employees behind the counter and none of them were attentive to the needs of customers. The place is pretty dirty. Trash on the floor and the tables need to be wiped down immediately. The ice cream wasn't worth the price either. It was partially melted when they transferred it from the slab to the cup. Just not worth the time or money. Other better ice cream places all around. read more

when i first walked up to the door i realized they didn't open for another five minutes. my girlfriend and i walked back to the car and waited, then went back to the door when the sign printed out on the window said they were supposed to open. we tried opening the door but it was still locked. we waited 10 more minutes seeing nobody and finally went back to the car. we've been here several times before and occasionally we'll have a pleasant experience with the worker that helps us, but more often than not it is an unfriendly experience with someone who doesn't seem to care how they're presenting themself to the customers. tl;dr: this place has bad service and we ended up going to the superior frozen sweets place, andy's frozen custard. read more

The ice cream freezer doors were all open and the ice cream was much softer than in other Marble Slabs in my experience. There were only two other customers. Ice cream is delicious and I love being able to blend different flavors and toppings together. Huge selection of toppings and ingredients to add. My only complaint is the staff can sometimes be hit or miss. I came in a couple weeks ago and the staff came across rude. We came in at about 8:50 and the sign on the door said they closed at 9:30. I didn't think we were being that much of an inconvenience 40 minutes to close but the young girls working at the time made it very obvious their frustrations, one of them very bluntly saying to the other "Oh my gosh we just had more people walk in. Don't they know we're about to close. " Some of the ice cream was starting to be put away. I asked if they were out of the coffee flavor and the lady just replied "No we have some we just put it away since we're about to close." The whole staff just seemed very inconvenienced by us being there. Ironically the place got pretty busy after we left and they a large group of about 12 come in right after us. I noticed everyone working there seemed very young, maybe high school aged. Unfortunately it seemed there wasn't a single adult working or supervisor there that I could tell. However, the ice cream itself is one of my favorites around. I've been back once more since then and the staff seemed much friendlier then so I won't let one bad experience keep me from returning. So that aside I would recommend trying this place at least once to create your own blend of ice cream. read more

Instead of stamp cards, they now offer mobile tracking for your purchases via the Internet or an app. They offer an introductory $5 off for registering, then you get points with each purchase towards a free ice cream. Service is okay, mostly teenagers and college students, it could always be improved. They have a good variety of flavors and mix in options for those who are adventurous with their dairy delights.
