Utterly disappointing. Stopped in because we saw a reel hyping this place... it did not live up to the hype. They did not have the Dubai chocolate one available today. No big deal, we got the strawberry shortcake instead. Though they probably should've taken the Dubai one out of the display case. The fruit tea and Boba was fine though maybe a bit small for the price. The strawberry shortcake cheesecake was unpleasant at best. Don't get me wrong the flavor was fine, however eating it was a very unpleasant experience. The cheesecake was frozen solid onto a stick. They then dipped it into warm white chocolate coating and then into the crumble coating, and then syrups were drizzled onto it and a strawberry slice was put on top. The cheesecake was too frozen to bite into. The coating broke off and slopped syrup everywhere and left your mouth feeling oily. Plus the strawberry on top was not ripe so it was not pleasant either. The service was extremely slow even though we saw four people behind the counter. The dining room was under construction and they had weirdly aggressive signs on the window telling you to not touch the plants. Plus there was not a garbage in the lobby or outside to throw away your Boba straw wrapper. We would not go back again. read more

Varin has so many unique special drinks made daily. I stop in for a sticky rice mango matcha drink. It was a great combo of not overly sweet. And the cream on top was a great combo. Also got a small single vanilla scoop in a cup since they didn't have any cones. $6 single scoop of vanilla Ice cream seems kinda pricey. Service was friendly but the service waiting was slow. If the pace getting drinks and Ice cream out quicker would make it more efficient to stop in more often. read more

It was my first time trying this place and it was nice! The employees were welcoming. I got the dipped cheesecake and it was good, but I wish it wasn't frozen cause I couldn't even eat it. I guess it has to be frozen to dunk in the chocolate, but when I brought it home it was able to be eaten and it was delicious, I would love to try more flavors. Spacious café, ordering counter and ice-cream selection to the left when you walk in. I heard this cafe is known for their dipped cheesecake. The girl behind the counter suggested trying the biscoff cookie cheesecake. We ordered a couple of bubble teas as well. We had seen a reel on IG and decided we had to drop by to try some sweet treats. The place was packed inside which is always a great sign of delicious food. We ordered a Thai Tea with boba, a Dubai cheesecake, and strawberries and cream waffle ice cream combo. Because it was so packed we had to wait a bit before our order was ready. The Thai Tea was great tasting, the strawberry waffle combo was good but the Dubai chocolate cheesecake was phenomenal! I was initially excited to try the place (again due to the hype from TikTok) however, I didn't even get to place my order due to the horrible customer service. The cashier had a rude attitude and tried to rush us to order. I'm usually very understandable when it comes to customer service because I also work in customer service, but I strongly live by "if you don't want to work somewhere then quit" but the cashier seemed like she was ready to leave and had no since of kindness. Let's start by saying that as the weather gets nicer, the more crowded they will be! It's relatively small inside with the cutest decorations and they have table games for you to use which I find it to be a great touch. The staff is nice and friendly too. When I came across this spot and saw the bubble waffle ice cream, I had to visit. I wasn't disappointed! The shop itself is so cute! I love the live plants and overall aesthetic. The cashier explained how to order because you can choose your waffle flavor as well as ice cream flavor and toppings. The waffle is so light and delicious! I ordered the butter pecan ice cream with strawberries and caramel sauce. Sooo good. I ordered the original waffle, but you also have choices for the waffle flavor! 4.5 On a crazy hot day in late summer I *needed* a cold sweet treat. Thanks to a quick check of the Jelps, I found just the spot! Cue: if I lived here I would be a regular. Varin's is just what the name suggests: a sweet shop. The menu is almost overwhelming with its choice permutations. Truthfully, I was a bit immobilized when trying to decide what to get: solid, liquid, creamy, juice, tea, etc. If there is a sweet tooth in your party (or, mouth) it will find what it's been seeking. I was here on a Thursday and the (small) space was packed with teens. I get it. If Varin's were around when I was in high school, I would have come here after school as well. So, know before you go that the space is small (but not tight) and if you come at the wrong/right time, you will be surrounded by teens in search of a sugar fix. But none of this deters the workers. They have service down to a science. They greet, instruct/answer, serve, make, and bid farewell in a way that needs to be studied. Unable to make a daring choice after viewing and reviewing sugary delight after sugary delight, I finally mumbled something about a strawberry tea with lychee jellies (much like Ralphie telling Santa that he wanted a football rather than an official Red Ryder, carbine action, two-hundred shot range model air rifle). Unlike Ralphie, though, I was extremely happy with my order. My conscious brain may have wanted to go big but my lizard brain scored big with a large strawberry (red and tasted like strawberries!) tea filled with squishy lychee jellies. Every slurp and chew was a sugar addict's joy. If Varin's can be trusted to nail a basic like strawberry tea, I have no doubt that the more complicated concoctions taste just as good as they look -- and they look delicious. Varin's alone might not be worth the trip to Murfreesboro but it's a darn good excuse to go. It's that good. read more

This is a cute little boba stop in Murfreesboro! I came in on a Sunday morning and it was pretty busy. Plenty of parking outside. I ordered the milk tea and it's delicious! Ooofff it pains me to leave this review. So much hype, but this place really disappointed me. Does not taste like brown sugar at all...not sure what they used or did. The only good thing about this drink was the coffee jelly. The Oreo series was also disgusting!! Same thing. How are you going to call a drink an oreo drink but used generic Oreos. Or whatever chocolate cookies, it just tasted horrible. Nothing close to Oreos. Just poor quality. It was disgusting. My husband trashed the drink. Waste of $$$$ The strawberry matcha...ughhhh I should have known...it's not quality matcha. I am for sure a matcha connoisseur and I should have known better not to order this but my son wanted a matcha latte so I ordered it for him. Sadly, it was not good. It tasted like dirt. Can't say anything about the coconut taro since I did not try, but my mom said it was good so that's a plus. The inside store is really small but it's cute, and it's clean. The girl that took my order was sweet and friendly! They had little board games to play while you sip on your drinks or eat your waffle ice cream (something we didn't try). The drink itself tasted extremely artificial and was painful to get through. The boba was cooked well. Given it was not particularly busy and it took over 20 minutes for my drink, I'd go to Kung Fu Tea. Kung Fu Tea is a bit more expensive but has fast service and better tasting drinks. read more
