"Let the buyer beware."…read more On Wednesday, December 9, 2015, Bill Mullin came to my home to inspect an electrical outlet. A surge of electricity appeared to have burned out a lamp that was plugged into this socket, which caused me alarm. Mr. Mullin inspected the socket, and assured me that it was working properly. He added that a piece of metal must have come into contact with the lamp's socket, and that it was easy and inexpensive to replace. He stated that he could fix the lamp and assured me that he would return it to me by that Friday, December 11th. I never heard back from him. I called him a few times and left messages. I finally reached him the following Friday, December 18th. During this telephone conversation (which I had on speaker phone) he stated that the lamp was fixed, and that he would have it back to me "in a couple of days." Once again, I never heard back from him, despite leaving a couple of messages. I can only assume that he damaged the lamp in some way. This lamp was part of a set, which means I will have to replace the complete set. Mr. Mullin replaced my entire electrical panel last spring, which is why I contacted him about the socket and lamp. He supplied me with a 1-year guarantee for that work, stating that 1 year was standard. I have only recently learned that a 3-year guarantee is standard for this type of job, which cost me in excess of $2,000. I have also been advised to have another licensed electrician perform a thorough inspection his work. It is highly unusual for me to post a negative review. Nevertheless, in view of Mr. Mullin's apparent disingenuous, and oddly passive aggressive behavior, I felt it necessary to advise others of my experience. Unfortunately, it seems that an old adage applies to Mullin Electric: "Let the buyer beware." Mrs. G.M. Snyder, New Bedford, MA

My mom is getting older and she lives alone and we were referred to Tim by our neighbor who had a…read moreGenerac generator installed by him. I called Tim and we set up a meeting after work very conveniently to discuss a proposal for installing a Generac generator. I had done my homework and established that Generac was probably the most reliable whole house generator. I always get more than one quote for a project and I called another local electrician who installed generators. I was not impressed with the electrician who I got a second quote with. Unprofessional and he was not interested in maintaining the generator but every couple of years and charged $450 for a tuneup. When I asked him about having an annual tuneup to document for the five-year warranty, he shrugged his shoulders and said he was not sure about that. Tim treated the generator and the installation like it was his own and his annual maintenance charge is only $169. He stated he would maintain the records for the annual maintenance work for the five year warranty. in addition, his quote was very thorough and complete and I was never able to get a written quote from the second electrician that I met with. Tim is a super communicator and because I work during the day and my mom is home, He let me know the day before what was planned and when he had to shut the power off and what he would be doing either inside or outside of the house, etc. The installation of the generator by Generac outside looked very professional, clean and aesthetically pleasing. Once the installation was done, Tim scheduled a meeting with my mom and I to demonstrate the operation of the Generac generator when the power goes off. He spent an hour with us and was not in a rush. In addition, we were having an issue with a circuit that was tripping all the time because of an over the stove microwave, and he stated that he would take a look at it and help us out even though it was not part of the installation of the generator. He brought a 20 amp circuit breaker. He made sure that the wire gauge was appropriate for that and upgraded the circuit at no charge! Anyone who uses anyone but Tim to install a generator would be making a serious mistake. His pricing is extremely reasonable and as he states and my neighbor who has witnessed for over a year, that anytime there is an issue or a power outage, he is a text away for any questions or any concerns. Tim is very professional and has a pleasant affable manner about him. I can't say enough good things about the whole experience!

Will not take responsibility for anything and just keep calling you a liar. Take your business elsewhere. Will tell you that you have an extended warranty that you paid for and call Generac a liar when they tell you there is no warranty on file. Did not pull a gas or electrical permit which has been reported to the town. Put the unit (which blows out carbon monoxide when its on!) right next to the air intake to our home. Use someone who knows what they are doing and is respectful when they make a mistake. Good luck if you use him!
