I happenstance stumbled upon his yelp page which was buried 5 pages deep because most other installers were flaking out on me and am glad I did!! For Joe this is not just a business but also a passion. He literally can talk about the advancements in Audio/Video and home theater all day long which he did with me even though it was nearly 7pm on a Monday night. The thing that I was most impressed with was the fact that he is a perfectionist and if something didn't look or sound right to him he would make sure it did. He has an eye and ear that is more fine tuned for this than we consumers do and he'll let you know it if it isn't right even though we may think it is. He even went as far as calibrating the projector to THX certs on his Ipad for free!! He charged me for 2 hours labor even though he was here for well over 3 hours! I apologize for the long review but Joe deserves an in depth review because he indeed is a diamond in the rough. I do not even have your last name or the address yet to put in the estimate. I usually do not take that info until the day of the install. As a small company we leave you with a receipt with all of the info on it. You requested it earlier which I tried to get it done but have been working late hours everyday. If you want you can have someone else do it for you. It seems that you have had certain issues in the past ( you make me feel uncomfortable) we have not even started the work at all and you are already talking down to me. For $150 for the install it is not worth the headache never mind the hour drive. We are also on the Mass.gov website as a legit company Thank you. Review for yourself. I asked for the agreement and proof of insurance. Which you said you'd provide. And then you reinforced it in your last text that you would provide it. There was no talking down to anyone. I believed in your work and as a business person I know what I need to protect myself, my family and my property. An agreement, proof of insurance coverage and skepticism when shopping for vendors online is why everyone needs to proceed with caution when giving away their home address. Clearly your company is not insured. I was willing to pay more than $150. and I will. I already accepted a quote for $250. , before your call, but wanted to provide you the opportunity. That was your price, I didn't set the price, I accepted the price. Keep it real Telling me to get a pencil to write down a 10' cord was insulting. But OK! Professionals show up with an estimate sheet and write it down and hand it to you, yet I was still willing to accept your work. As a member of my county minority business and entrepreneurs business enterprise I believe in supporting new businesses and specifically minority businesses. I was willing to pay more but you didn't ask for more. Seems you want to blame others for your performance. Good luck Chuck! I have 2 other quotes. It's no problem to move on. Business 101, get insured before you ask for a consumer to trust you. Then we know you're serious. If you don't like how a potential customer vets you, then don't go into business. No reply required. He knows…read moreeverything about the industry and designed us a beautiful whole home audio system which includes an ethernet backbone which ran from the demarc to centrally located amps in the attic and then ran speaker wire to in ceiling speakers in the living areas and a pair of all-weather outdoor speakers off our deck. He spent about an hour with me to survey the job and then delivered his quote which was spot on despites some unforeseen anomalies with our house which we know is old and unfortunately, not always up to code. Nothing seemed to ruffle him as he found positive workarounds to each issue, vetting each one with us. The end result completely exceeded our expectation. Ken really delivered and although I think he is an IT/Home Theatre savant, more importantly, he's a good person who is a kind and thoughtful of others. Best money ever spent!
