Dr Dupere destroyed my life. Period. Overtightened and causes major nerve damage. Charming at first but callous after he gets paid.

Please read before making the same mistake I did. In 2023 I was looking to finally have my nose done and some under eye fillers. I did limited research (which was ignorant of me to begin with). That being said, I ended up at this clinic because I was already purchasing skincare here so I decided to have a consult. Like many of the reviews say Dr. Dupere is very charming and attentive before payment but after is a whole other story. I went ahead and booked my procedure which was done late January of 2023. When I awoke I kid you not, my whole forehead and nose where in a cast. I've seen many rhinoplastys done and never with a cast like this. My under eye filler was so botched it was literally lumps. I was absolutely horrified, I actually passed out at home when the meds were off and I saw clearly. Long story short I reached out to him many times where he told my husband and I that "Nile" at to be done. So like most of us patients we listen, we wait, and we pray for the best. Unfortunately none of that paid off. My under eye filler was so noticeable it's all anyone saw, and my nose was so messed up. The top was sewn in on one side more than the other so one side literally sticks out. The bridge that had no issues before had two bumps on it. I had multiple sutures that didn't dissolve that had to be cut out in the side he sewed into too much. Jennifer sent a rude email on his behalf obviously telling my husband and I how precious his weekend time is and that we should not bother him. So we suffered in silence because he didn't want to hear the negativity caused by his carelessness and inability to understand our concerns. I went in to see him months later and he offered to do a revision but I don't believe in second chances when it comes to plastic surgery. The overall experience was terrible. He pretends to be this very sweet guy but after that email he had his ladies in pink send us we knew exactly his character. Now I'm heading to Turkey to have a revision because nobody wants to fix it in Toronto. I saw many plastic surgeons for revision consults and they all said he really messed up my nose. One went on to say "what the hell were you thinking having a rhinoplasty with a doctor who doesn't specialize in one specific surgery." Dr Marc DuPere and his team are horrible. I went to him for cosmetic surgery and he was great until payment was taken. After care was absolutely brutal. I knew something was wrong day one. Every follow up, call and email I sent my concerns were ignored and disregarded. His staff was extremely rude and condescending. I developed a large bacteria infection and seroma under his care. I ended up having another top surgeon look at it who right away did the proper testing and knew there was something wrong. I am still recovering almost 4 months down the road. I was in perfect health before surgery. I have now spent double due to Marc DuPere not addressing my concerns and doing the proper testing. He let the infection get worse for 2.5 months!! Dr Dupere is one of the worst doctors I ever encountered. He is greedy, does not care about his patients wellbeing at all..  I have been holding off on leaving a review for 2 years now because I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt but this doctor needs to be reported. To start off once i did my surgery  the following day and i had a complication and was panicking because I didn't know what to do. So I called  "emergency personal number"  that he provided me  with and told me I can reach him anytime with any concerns I had...  I called him and him and he wasn't picking up.  I contacted his office they told me he was away  on vacation and he won't be able to help me this was literally 1 Day after my surgery. Every follow up i was seen by his nurse jay which was very rude and unprofessional to the point I requested not to be seen by this nurse. When I asked if I could see Dr. Dupere they told me that he was busy. Throughout  my post op care i only saw him TWICE and he was very dismissive when i asked him any questions. When I told him how his nurse Jay treated me he told me that's impossible and he worked with him for many years  and no one complained about him and I was lying. Fast Forward to now. It's been 2 years since I had my surgery with him. I contacted his office and told them that I'm having pain in my buttock area where I got the procedure done. They were very dismissive, and told me why I didn't just contact my family doctor about it. They ended up giving me a requisition for an MRI, once I did the MRI no one contacted me with the results , so I reached out to them to let them know I received the results and if I can book an appointment to see Dr. Dupere to discuss my results and options I have to treat this pain I'm having. Reception told me that he won't see me and it's already been two years since my procedure so he's not obligated to see me for a follow up. I asked if someone can at least explain to me the results and the receptionist told me that it was already reviewed and there was no concern  when I insisted that I would like someone to explain to me my MRI result because it does say on the report there is concern and to have a further  clinical follow to see what's going on.  The receptionist told me that a nurse will contact me and explain it to me then. The nurse called me after 5 days and he told me I have to see another surgeon for this and Dr.Dupere can not help with this. That's when I knew this clinic does not care about me or my well-being. I requested for patient chart from his office to show another plastic  surgeon and they told me I have to pay $300 to see MY RECORDS. Don't be fooled by his fancy clinic and the fake treatment that him and his staff will display to get you through the door. Once they get the money their true Colors come out. Dr Dupere AND his staff  do not take care of clients and have no regard to people. customer service, communication, and client care all zero. Please stay away from this doctor and his staff and save yourself the heartache and trauma that I experienced. there're plenty of great plastic surgeons in Toronto that will take care of their patients and are not money hungry. Dr. Dupere should not be in business; he does not take No accountability once a mistake is made. I spent 15k for this procedure and now I have to spend thousands more to figure out what the problem is and try to fix it by another plastic surgeon not to mention the emotional and physical trauma this has caused me.  PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR. read more

I came to Dr. Dupere from Lethbridge, AB, after seeing my friends amazing results post Erbium laser and Selphyl (PRP) treatment to treat a scar left behind by a nasty bout of shingles. Sadly, for the past year, I have been fighting the same battle, and an emotional battle it has been! With the exception of when my dad passed away unexpectedly 8 1/2 years ago, I can honestly say that I've never been more depressed in my life! For the first 4 months, I literally shut down! I wouldn't leave the house unless it was for work, and even then, that was hard in itself! For the past 7 months, I've been seeing a plastic surgeon back home, and although I've seen some improvement in my scarring, I still found myself unhappy and extremely self-conscious of it, which was far less severe than my friends! After seeing my friends results, I started contemplating making the trip to Toronto to see Dr. Dupere thinking if he can make my friend look this good, imagine what he can do for me! My plastic surgeon didn't recommend me travelling so far, nor did Dr. Dupere, as I could have the very same treatment done in Calgary by the very person who trained Dr. Dupere in using his laser. But after researching numerous doctors in Calgary and Edmonton, including this very doctor, as well as Dr. Dupere himself, my gut told me that Dr. Dupere was the right person to treat me! Not only are his on-line reviews amazing, but he took the time himself to respond to my e-mails and numerous questions. What doctor does that? One who truly cares about his patients, that's who! His personality matched mine to a tee, this being why I made the difficult choice to leave my children for the first time ever (they are 9 and 6) and fly to Toronto to have him treat me. This was not easy for me ~ travelling across the country to stay with a friend that I've technically never met and have a surgeon who I've only talked with via e-mail treat me for something that has literally destroyed my self confidence! Some people might classify me as crazy, but I've never looked at it that way. I'm simply someone who so badly wants to feel good about herself again; to feel true happiness again! It's been so long that I honestly forget what it feels like. As nervous as I was the 6 weeks prior to my appointment, come the day of my procedure, I surprisingly wasn't! I was amazed at how calm I was! I have Dr. Dupere to thank for this! His kind, caring and attentive nature both prior to and during my appointment simply put me at ease. I knew that I was in the best of hands and that if anyone could help me, it was him! I'm now 3 days post op, and although I'm still quite the site, I've had no complications thus far and appear to be healing well! I look forward to what the next 3-4 days bring and then beyond, and although still terrified, I remain optimistic for a good outcome, as does he! Simply put, I would recommend Dr. Dupere to anyone! He has simply got to be one of the kindest and sweetest people I've ever met! In a very short time, I've come to trust, admire and adore him! He's simply AMAZING!
