We felt welcomed, embraced, peaceful, and physically challenged. We had several classes with Tatsiana both beginner and intermediate classes and had an amazing experience. Beginner classes are a great way to deeply stretch in a safe and gentle way. Intermediate was the perfect higher speed sequences and longer poses. Aromatherapy is available in most classes as well - be sure to let the instructor know your preferences. Two sets of battle ropes, tons of kettle bells and medicine balls, a large personal training area that always seems to have trainers with clients, various machines, multiple private bathrooms with showers, and even upright tanning machines and tanning beds. And I have never had to wait for a machine. Staff is always friendly and attentive, always cleaning the place, and everybody that works out there is very cool.

There is a parking lot that I could see getting filled up at crowded times but I had no issues. The layout of the studio is a little strange at an angle an the sun beams on the one corner, but I love the floor to ceiling windows. During COVID, they have sold some equipment for at home workouts. I was able to purchase the sliding discs and the squishy ball and both have kepy up really well!

The atmosphere of the studio is just as good as anything you'll find in Madison - in my opinion, better. As you can see from pictures on the website, the studio is absolutely beautiful. It doesn't have a wall of windows like most yoga studios in Madison. Instead, it's located in the lower-level of a beautifully renovated old wood building in downtown Evansville. Its dark and quiet atmosphere are just what I need though to get into a super quiet and deep meditative state. In addition to the beautiful studio, True Nature also offers some truly amazing instructors. A yoga class is only as good as its instructor, and the ones at True Nature are absolutely wonderful. They emphasize alignment and technique over difficulty, and strongly encourage each individual to listen to their own body first - which was really refreshing for me. Their teaching style might not be for everyone, but it was just what I was looking for. I've tried yoga a handful of times before, but it wasn't until I got to True Nature that I finally "got it." In fact, now I can't seem to get enough of it!

I asked if they were open because it felt really weird and uncomfortable and she said I'm just about to close up. It really isn't warm and welcoming from my first impression. I've always preferred hot classes, Bikram style, like 105'F with 50%+ humidity. I'd love a good sweat and I found easier to relax and stretch in the heated environment. Learned there are 4 locations and Middleton was the one I attended. Initial impression was cute place with vibrant color. They offer showers and a waiting area to read/decompress with hot tea and filtered water. I signed up online and showed up for my 1st hot class. Parking wasn't hard and it was free. Walked upstairs and checked in at the counter. I saw members can get free towels; otherwise, it's $1 or $2 depending on the size. There were about 20 students in the class and I ended up towards the opposite side of the entrance which it isn't the best spot. I had a hard time hearing the instructor (no mic and loud music). Given it's my first class, I thought the instructor should ask who's there for the 1st time and if there were any injuries. No one asked so I just have to modify as needed due to my herniated spine. Given this is my 1st class in almost 2 years, I took it slowly and participated as much as I could which was still over 80% of the class time. I didn't sweat at all. The room was warm but definitely not hot or humid. My mat towel was dry which was different from all of my previous practices. I later found out the temperature was set to around 90'F and no one knows if a humidity level was turned on. I'm glad that I went as it was a good way to try out but I'll go back again to try a couple more classes before deciding if I want to be a member.
