Stopped in for the Lent Buffet a couple of weeks ago with some friends. It was all great. The people who work there are friendly and very accommodating, and the food was delicious. There was a lot more variety than I ever thought possible for a buffet without meat. I would really like if they took credit cards, but I understand, it is not always easy to set these things up, and it is costly. It was so good we are going back this Friday for Good Friday. So this place is amazing except it's more of a pop up. What I mean by that is it isn't always open and I'm not sure how long they'll be open long term. One thing I can say is that it is amazing! My husband and I made a reservation online for an igloo. We were greeted and taken to our igloo. It was very nice, we ordered some beverages and an appetizer to start. We got the Arincini to start and oooooohhh myyyy goodness, please get it! It was so yummy, the oooy gooey ness of the rice and mozzarella was exquisite, they also served it with marinara meat sauce! Great combination! The lamb chops were super tender and marinated to perfection. The mashed potatoes were also a hit for us, they use fresh potatoes and whipped it enough to be the perfect amount of creaminess. My hubby bear got the surf and turf, that was exceptional, the lobster and butter just melt in your mouth & the steak was cooked perfectly (medium rare) ;) the only thing was we wished his dish had more meat haha because who wouldn't want more of that yummy goodness. It is a bit pricey but well worth it. Everyone there was super attentive and sweet. One thing that we were a little bummed about was the igloo was a bit cold my toes and fingers were pretty cold. They have a small heater in there but I would advise you to bundle up but the food and service makes up for it all!! Bon appétit! read more

Above and Beyond!! Wonderful food! If you are looking for a caterer...look no further. Marchiori exceeded my expectations. I hired Marchiori for off site catering for my mother-in-laws celebration of life and when they say "full catering needs" they mean it. Chicken Picata melts in your mouth, savory potatoes and saucy but not too saucy mostaccioli were just a few of my favorite choices. read more

This company is ran by the rudest, most condescending man that I have ever encountered. My fiance and I originally booked our wedding here. We ended up getting pregnant and had to change our date, but our contract said that we could not change our date unless we told them 12 months in advance. We told them 10 Months in advance, so ultimately they said no and that we must forfeit our deposit. This isnt even what the problem was. The problem was I had 3 separate people corresponding with me telling me 3 different things. I wasnt told until 7 days after the first person emailed me that we would have to forfeit our deposit, as the first 2 people corresponding with me never mentioned it and led me to believe we could pick a new date without any repercussions. After all, we did tell them 10 months prior. At some point in the back and forth emails, the owner told me we had to forfeit our deposit but then offered to me that if the hall got booked on our cancelled date, that he would give me my deposit back "less 500" In the next email that I sent to him, i told him i was honestly super confused, that everyone keeps telling me something different and i just really wanted everyone to be on the same page, and that I didnt understand the wording that he used. I am not in the industry and i am not familiar with the terminology he used. Well, in the next email from the owner, he came back with.. and I quote.. "actually Leah, nothing at all confusing about my emails" which i felt to be extremely rude and condescending. I didnt know someone else was able to determine my level of understanding. In that same email, he told me that me expressing to him that everyone telling me something different was confusing..was "rude" and that it was "unfortunate" that I had to "insult" his company. He then proceeded to tell me he would not honor the deal he literally JUST offered in the previous email about giving me back my deposit minus the 500. He did this because he was "insulted" that I expressed my own feelings as a consumer about his business not being on the same page. He also went on to say after i told him I was pregnant that "it was unfortunate" that i couldnt keep my original date. Nobody should feel guilty or stupid for bringing a child into this world because it effects their wedding date. Things happen. And something this exciting such as a new baby should never be negatively spoken about. We thought about still doing our wedding here so we didnt have to search around for a new venue, but we instead chose to Consider our $2,000 deposit a loss and find somewhere new that actually cares about how their customers feel. Who treats people with respect. This company was about to receive around $10,000 from us. You would think they would treat people who are about to spend that kind of money with a bit of respect, instead of like complete crap. You would think a grown man who owns a WEDDING business would know how to speak to people politely. That is not the case here. If you wanna be talked down to and treated like a child, use this venue! We were going to use this establishment for a funeral luncheon. After talking to them about availability and menu, we decided to use them. We told them we'd call back with our menu selections. Called the next day to finalize, no answer. Called the next day, again no one picking up the phone. We left messages that we wanted to reserve the room, no reply. Day three we finally got someone to pick up a phone, and they told us the room had been given to someone else. Thanks. Not only was the room given up, but the lady we talked to stated, "well, I was off and I'm the only one who answers the phone messages, I can't work every day." Hope you were proud of yourself talking to my crying wife like that. People here are unmannered and uncouth. Nothing like being upset about losing your mother and then some incompetent bitch speak to you like that. It's great having plans set and everyone notified and then have to change because of this establishment's brutal incompetence. If you're thinking of using them I'd advise you to find someplace where they understand how to treat customers and how to conduct themselves appropriately with the public. read more

Marchiori Catering is, hands down, the premier catering facility in the entire Detroit area, and has been for three generations. Steaks, lobsters, beef, lamb, pork, obviously Italian, Greek and good ol' American comfort food dishes are Marchiori favorites. Their poultry and meat dishes just melt in your mouth. Their pasta dishes are perfect. Vegetables and salads are always outstanding. Best of all, prices are very reasonable. I've been enjoying and using this catering facility for 40 years.
