Sadly, Holly was diagnosed with cancer at just 11. We knew she was in good hands with Dr. Marsh. We asked Andrew for guidance to help us make the best decisions for Holly during her illness. Holly was declining fast - we were heartbroken. He took all our calls and squeezed time in for Holly on his busy calendar. His support brought comfort and dignity to Holly in her final days. We think back on our last visit to the office and realized Dr. Marsh wasn't just providing healthcare for Holly; he was caring for us too. There was a connection between the doctor, the pet, and the family. We are very grateful for Andrew's help and that Holly had the best possible care. Dr. Andrew Marsh is a professional that offers exceptional healthcare. He's an excellent doctor and a good person. Some day when we are ready for a dog, we will return to Greenfield Animal Hospital. Thank you, Dr. Marsh. Todd & Tina Palumbo

If I could rate this practice 0 stars I would. They should not be practicing and the doctors and…read morestaff are unqualified in what they do. They completely MISDIAGNOSED my dog following an ultrasound. They performed an ultrasound and stated that he had masses on his spleen and gallbladder. They even had measurements for these masses. Bile duct obstruction due to one of the masses. The conclusion I was given was that my dog's disease was severe, he had a guarded prognosis, would require intense hospitalization with fluids and antibiotics. They also recommended exploratory surgery on the masses. That this could also be neoplasia. The only other option I was given was that his prognosis was poor and humane euthanasia should be discussed. Fast forward four days later, things did not sit right and on a whim, we decided to bring our dog for a second opinion elsewhere. A second ultrasound was performed and NO masses were found. There was NO mass on his spleen, and NO mass on his gallbladder. The image of the second ultrasound and associated signs and symptoms, were vastly different than the ultrasound results I received from Greenfield. The second ultrasound and hospital did not agree with the findings from Greenfield and furthermore said that much of the imaging was consistent with pancreatitis. He was tested for this, came back positive, and is now on treatment. This was shocking. My family and I went through a very difficult few days with the belief that our dog was dying. All due to the incompetence and wrong diagnosis from Greenfield. The fact that Greenfield recommended exploratory surgery on a mass that is NOT even there is insane. The facility looks like a five star resort for pet care, and I can only imagine why. They 100% misdiagnosed my dog, he does not have any masses, and is doing well now with treatment and a low fat diet. My family and I suffered immense grief over the days before going for the second ultrasound. We were in touch with end of life services, and we were coming to terms that we were about to lose our beloved family pet. The fact that there was treatment all along which I could have started sooner is infuriating and extremely upsetting. I would never recommend Greenfield to anyone I know. I wonder how many families go into their practice daily and receive the results I received. How many families go home thinking it is the end with their dog, are given a wrong diagnosis and no hope. They should NOT be performing ultrasounds or any advanced testing on animals. They are inept and in all honesty, their certifications should be questioned.

I edit my previous post. Once I posted of my dissatisfaction with Engelberg-Kristy Animal Hospital,…read morethe vet called me to listen to my complaints. That was appreciated. The follow-up visit with my dog went well, and all seems well. I appreciated the practice's response to my complaints. It's seems like a good practice, and I think my dog is in good hands going forward.

Dear Engelberg-Kristy Animal Hospital!…read more I visited your clinic yesterday with my puppy Teddy because I noticed yellow discharge and wanted to prevent more serious problems. I showed the doctor a photo of two small yellow spots. Teddy was happy - playful, eating and drinking well, and as hyperactive as ever, he didn't seem sick, I just brought him in for a checkup. The doctor took his temperature and said he had a fever. I had to ask for the exact number because he refused to give me one, which turned out to be 102.8. Since my English is very limited, I called my son to help clarify the situation. He spoke to the doctor four times. The doctor also said that Teddy was dehydrated and needed an x-ray to check his stomach. He immediately gave me a quote of $620, which I accepted. He said it would only take 15 minutes. I started to get really worried when they brought Teddy back 30 minutes later, then an hour later, then an hour and a half later. I have no idea what they did to him during that time. He had a tiny muzzle on his little carrier - Teddy is very small - so I don't understand why that was necessary. When I got him back an hour and a half later, he was shaking, wouldn't let us touch him, and we were in that situation for two days. They told me to feed him sparingly and put him on a diet, but after we got home he got worse. He kept falling over, his eyes were really inflamed, and instead of coughing, he seemed to be gasping for air. The estimate didn't include his fever, his weight, or any explanation for why the procedure took 90 minutes instead of 15. We didn't get anything for the itching either. I can't see any reason for what they did to him, and I'm completely devastated. There is no sign of the Teddy I knew yesterday morning. None of the above diagnoses were actually treated. If he was dehydrated, what was done to help him? How was the fever treated? I explained to you that he was scratching and chewing his claws, paws, and entire body intensely. However, we received no meaningful help, no diagnosis, and no basic advice on how to relieve the itching. Last night, we desperately called several clinics to find someone to care for Teddy, as he was feeling extremely unwell. In the end, the original estimate was increased by another $100. Now I have a $740 bill and my puppy has been mistreated, I am almost depressed - and of course, completely devastated. I am very upset and respectfully ask that you answer all my questions. We are deeply concerned and disappointed by the lack of guidance, especially given the severity of yesterday's symptoms. I would like my money back, we simply did not receive treatment. Sincerely, Maria Daru On November 6, 2025, we were at the appointment. I sent the above letter, but I have not received a reply. Teddy has completely changed--he is afraid of everything, we cannot touch him, we cannot hold him. I do not know what was done to him during the promised 15 minutes that instead lasted an hour and a half, and afterwards we had to take him to another hospital so that he would not suffocate! I would like to read your response, and along with it see nearly $800 credited back to my account, since we received nothing for this amount of money. He is still itching, and the doctor Marianne Willis VMD only said it might be an allergy. If an X-ray was truly performed, she only said there might be something there! This is all we learned for such an astronomical sum. I sincerely hope you understand my complaint and that I will not need to take further steps, as my little "baby" has become completely different since visiting your clinic. Once again, thank you if you read this and resolve the problem you have caused.

She was 15 years old with cancer and before we even decided on taking out the one tooth, we asked him if she needed to be put down, that would be better. We didn't want her to suffer more. But instead he wanted to make money off my elderly mom. He took advantage of the situation. She trusted this POS vet because it was an emergency. My baby went into surgery and went straight into a coma for "2 days" (we don't really know because when i called to check i didn't get an update for these 2 days and when i called the guy told me i had no business calling) the vet and his assistant are beyond rude and only steal money from you. This POS dare charged my mom for the extra teeth and 2 days of "in care and then hit us "oh and she passed, what do you want to do with her". HEARTLESS!!!!!!! My baby girl was so spoiled and to have her die in the hands of this evil vet. He didn't even call to tell us to say she was in bad shape or anything. My baby died in pain, alone and scared. Do not trust this place with your baby. I still cry about it. No one should have this done to them and then get charged for something we didn't ask for.
