My 2 year old Czech Shepherd has been a complete mess around getting her nails done AFTER being hurt... so while talking to someone about their pups I asked where do they go for nails, she immediately said Marcie's, wrote the phone number and to ask for Amy. As a good procrastinator does and put it off and put it off and one day in her excitement her dew claw catches some very thin old skin, it's not a cut, it's a PEELING OF THE SKIN from the body. Actually, INSANELY PAINFUL compared to being shot., WHY NOT... called Marcie's, told Amy about her difficulties after being hurt and she scheduled a time for us to bring Whiskey Girl in for nails WHILE THEY HAD 3 colleagues there!!! GREAT GREAT GREAT idea and with all 3 holding a wiggly pup, SUCCESS with clipping.. we will move on to grinding after they get to know each other IF I could give 6 stars for Marcie's JUST for the way they handled my extremely high drive and very stubborn I might add. Took my yorkie-poo in for grooming and forgot to tell them NOT to express his anal glands. He does this by himself and never had a problem. They ATTEMPTED to express his anal glands and ended up impacting one side, which they never told me about. I noticed he was in pain, walking weird and had a small "tumor" on his butt. I took him to an emergency vet and they said that one side was good, the other impacted and infected. I got antibiotics and pain meds and paid a big bill. I called Marcie's to tell them and they said "sorry for your inconvenience." They also cut his belly while shaving the hair. Small cuts. This is not an "inconvenience" when my dog is in pain. marcies not good like they use to be been going there for years had a couple of problems with them they seem to want to cut your dog the way they want they do not listen to what you want first problem i was 15 min late do to car problems yes my fault gave me the cold shoulder and i still gave them a good tip dog was groomed fair not good second problem told them how i wanted the dog groomed he come out like he was never cut took dog back told them i was not satisfied please re cut him well they did an also made sure they charged me again told them if they would have listened at first i would not have been upset and it was over with they did not care at all went back about 6 months later to see if they would take him back for grooming they said no after what happened the last time well i guess she is right why would i want to take him back to a groomer like that and i thanked her remember customer is always right read more

Always a great experience here. I take my cat there for her nails. They allow walk ins for nail trims and are pleasant and fast. They come right out front and are gentle with my anxious girl. She doesn't like the car so a quick trip just around the corner is a win-win. read more

I bring my two cats here to have their nails trimmed and have always had an excellent experience. The staff is friendly and treats me and my pets very well. The price is right, and I always feel comfortable with the handling of my cats. The toughest part is getting the cats into their crates, but they're always good once they arrive at Marcie's! read more

My husband and I took our cocker spaniel here for grooming. Never again. We came back and they complained about how jumpy he was and that they had to muzzle him. When they walked him out of the other room on his leash he was so scared and the lady was tugging and dragging him. I was infuriated. He is now too anxious to go to another groomer so we do it at home. I don't even want to think about how they treated him back there, I feel horrible. read more

The actual "grooming" was fine but that's not all that counts is it? We brought our 1 yr old dog in for his last grooming. When we went to pick him up, we were told he was a "bad dog" and "pain in the a$$" Yes, they actually said that to us. When they went back to get my dog, his folder was sitting on the desk. There was a piece of paper that clearly read: "Bad dog" "Pain in the a$$" What could be the reason for noting that in his file besides wanting to know how to treat him the next time? This is a dog. Dogs bark, they jump, they are sometimes hyper at his age. If you are in the business of dealing with dogs, I would hope you would have the patience for them. When I called to let them know we would not be returning for their services, I was asked if there were a specific reason. I let the woman know my concerns and her response was "Ok, thank you" click. NO thank you. There are plenty of groomers to take your dog to.I suggest this one not be on the list. read more
