This time, there were only 6 of us so we were sat at a large round table - perfect for conversation. I ordered my go-to Panko Crusted Feta for an appetizer and then ordered the Chicken Parmesan without sauce for my entree and a Pink Mule to drink. The mule was very flavorful - you can't tell it's got liquor, which is dangerous! The feta was phenomenal, as usual, and the chicken was good. Their entrees include choice of soup or salad and their famous breadsticks, on which I always fill up. The breadsticks arrived first and they were piping hot. They are garlicky and salty and perfectly cooked. I chose the Lemon Chicken and Rice Soup, which was very good. I was full before the feta appetizer arrived! The feta never disappoints so when I got my entree, I was full. I had a few bites and had them box it up. It wasn't my favorite option - I usually like their salads but I'm still off lettuce for a while longer. I know we will be back - we really like this restaurant!

It was a perfect day to be in the patio but the fact that they have garage door type of windows also makes it even more open and gives you the feeling of being outside. The Highland House is part of a restaurant group so if you've been to one, you kind of know what to expect. They have fantastic bread sticks and if you don't try them with the garlic cream cheese spread you are certainly missing out! We were welcomed in and the owner, Dave, chatted with us while prepping our order. Note, this is a carry out only establishment. There were three spits of meat churning away. It smelled delicious in there. My brother recommended the King gyro. It comes with 1/2 pound of delicious gyro meat topped with shredded lettuce, red onion and diced tomato. The soft, warm pita is spread with tzatziki sauce for that tangy hit of cucumber. You can see the freshness as they were in the process of chopping more veg for toppings. Three big containers of diced tomato done and they were on to chopping red onions. The store itself has essence of Elvis everywhere in the decorations, even a life-sized replica.
