With the exception of produce, most of their foods are hand-me-downs from other grocery stores. All of the canned goods are so cheap because they're the dented ones from nearby grocery stores. If you don't care that your can is dented, you can get it for about half the price. Other packaged goods are expired hand-me-downs. Want your cereal for $1 a box instead of $4? That's fine...but it expired two months ago. Honestly, it probably doesn't matter because there are so many preservatives in those things anyway. If you're willing to tempt fate, you can stock up on all sorts of packaged goods (cereals, crackers, popcorn, salad dressings, condiments, baking mixes, etc) for a fraction of the regular cost. They also sell health and beauty items, baby items, candy galore, and other random assortments. The best part of this place is the produce. All of the produce they sell is locally-grown. And it's dirt cheap. Butternut squash bigger than my head were 50 cents. Total. Not per pound. Fresh carrots? 35 cents per bag. Green peppers? 30 cents each. The place is definitely worth checking out, especially if you're on a budget. Just be mindful of those expiration dates!

However, the last few visits they have been very unfriendly and behaved as if my shopping there was a burden. Well, guess what? I won't be burdening them with my business again. If service is not an issue for you, the store carries a number of harder to find health food items but the prices are quite high for some of them. You can find many of the same products at Krieger's, Whole Foods or Trader Joe's for less. Often items on the shelf are out of date. They sell a good selection of bulk spices and staple items. The produce is from local farms and they have some nice selections depending on time of year.
