Great place to walk around for an hour. They have games, puzzles, and even musical instruments. I wanted to buy something but the guy at the register was unresponsive. Oh well. Still fun just to look at everything. The owner of this place obviously understands the art of window-dressing and merchandise-arranging - everything looked great. There is just something about "Off The Wagon" that I love. It is a good blend of new and nostalgic. Funny, fun and "OMG! I needs that!" I love to bring my kids, but I love to go alone too. There seems to be something for everyone here. The store itself is clean and neat, but tightly packed. Worth going through once, but I love to come multiple times a year. You never know what you'll find. Parking, like most in Acorn Alley, is a crap shoot. They have wonderful, knowledgeable and fun employees. I've never had bad service here. I've been in this place a few times, and it is packed with tons of cool games for all age groups. We love to play games as a family, and a lot of stores like this only contain games for advanced "gamers." Not only does this place have games for all ages, but they have lots of them. The staff has always been super helpful and knowledgeable as well. Most interesting is that I have checked many of the prices of the games against Amazon prices and they are pretty close. My 16yo daughters and I stopped by here when we saw Bob Ross and Mr. Roger's paraphernalia in the window. We spent over an hour pouring over the toys, games, knick-knacks, and do-hickeys dedicated to many pop culture items. The staff is friendly. The prices are competitive. It's a mid-sized gift and novelty-item shop that includes whimsical little finds, such as 12 different kinds of funny Band-Aids, Walking Dead key chains, candy you thought vanished decades ago (Fruit Stripe, Razzles) or various mustache-and-bacon themed sundries. But you can also find thought-provoking board games, an interesting book or two, and fun little figurines from current cult TV shows (when I last went, it was Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Breaking Bad, etc.) You can also count on a nice selection of snarky coffee mugs, silly little notebooks, and maybe even a vaguely inappropriate baby onesie or two. This is probably one of my favorite stores in downtown Kent. I have a lot of very difficult family members to shop for, and so far each of the gag gifts I've gotten them from Off the Wagon have been instant hits. Love this little hidden shop inside of Acorn Alley!!!! They aren't your typical Toys R Us lead coated toy shop but offer a variety of unique gifts for children & the child trapped inside of us adults as well. I was able to purchase a lot of hard to find Cthulhu gifts and found some awesome items (bacon related objects & zombie as well) that I will def. be returning for. Great little store! My kids love the gag gifts - crazy flavored suckers, silly bands, funny misc. and I love all the unique stuff too. Cool lunch boxes, little stuff, and always something new in there. Nice addition to the new and improving Kent! I love looking around here and seeing all the stuff they get in. They have several fun and unusual items that will make you smile and laugh. The only downside is that they are a bit pricey. I know anything they have can be found online cheaper, but it's still nice getting it person and helping support a local business. If they were slightly more fair on pricing, I would defiantly buy a lot more then I already do. read more
