I tried to see a movie starting at 11:50am on 6/25/22 , it's currently 12:10pm. Prior to me writing this review, I asked a gentleman working the ticket booth at 11:55am why the movie isn't playing, the screen is just turned off. He asked which screen, I stated it's #5 and he knocked and went behind a door near the drink machine and I went back to my seat with hopes that it will be playing. Nope, it's still not. I'll be requesting a refund. I ONLY came to this location b/c my normal theater (Emagine-FRANKFORT, IL) didn't have the 3D option available, just Marcus. Very disappointed and will NOT be returning nor supporting ANY marcus theaters!

let's just say i will never ever revisit this Marcus theater location ever again. This place is disgusting and the management sucks. So while watching the movie two mice runs from under my seat to the level g beneath me. They must know they we have rodents, it's almost impossible for them to not know. At his location is disgustingly disgusted. Trash was in the hallways and food was left in the cup holder prior to me seating down. I expect so much more from a Marcus Theater but apparently not. I mentioned this complaint to the Manager Bianca who was the shift manager and oh my gosh, you wouldn't believe her sleepless response, " huh oh ok sorry what movie were you in"? like really. I'm certain Steve and Marcus don't know their establishment is being ran this way.

DreamLounger makes a difference!! The super comfortable chairs are fabulous and Marcus did a nice job with the extensive remodel. They have limited (assigned) seating so, you do have to get tickets in advance but it is worth it!! Also, they serve food and alcohol which makes any date night fun!

The greeting of trash when you walk in.

Since the…read moreeven was tailored to our pets, we had to submit photos prior and the outlines were set for us. My friend and I could request to sit next to each other when we purchased our seats. The prices were more than fair for the amount of work the instructors put in for this event! There was also another paint and sip party in the backroom, the place is larger than you expect looking from the outside. The location is easily accessible and had ample room for a party in the back while we painted our pets out front. Lisa and the other instructor (we only caught one of the instructor's names) were incredibly patient. As someone who isn't very talented in the art department, I didn't feel shamed when I had questions or ran into a problem that I couldn't fix. The two hours flew by and there were many laughs and smiles had by all. It's a really well kept area and I would definitely come back here for another event.

It is a bright and cheery location with plenty of room to roam. There are actually 2 paint rooms, one larger than the other. Both are decorated in a colorful and whimsical way! As far as food and drinks are concerned, this is a BYOB and bring your own food location, but they supply the plates, napkins, cups, and ice. Our instructor was fun and upbeat, making most anyone feel comfortable to attempt putting paint into canvas! In my group were people who had never done a paint and sip before, but their artwork still turned out beautifully.

Nathan Manilow Sculpture Park is a great hidden gem on Governors State University's campus…read more I can't even remember how I found out about it, but I was probably looking for outdoor activities that I wasn't already sick of. Either way, I'm glad I made my way here. We still haven't covered the full grounds because of the size, but we'll come back when we have more time to fully explore all of the sculptures and nature areas. The layout can be a little tricky, but if you're up for an afternoon of wandering, it's perfect. We even did our 2020 holiday card photo here.

Until today. Beautiful day to roam around a fairly large expanse of land. The Governor's State website says the grounds here measure 100 acres. It's a big place. The only bummer that I found with the website is that there isn't a map that guides you to the various sculptures. You have to find them all yourself, which, it's hard to track down some of them. We spent a few hours here and maybe found close to 25 of the supposed 29 sculptures. The sculptures themselves greatly range in size, form, composition and design. You know what they say about art..it's all in the eye of the beholder. Sculpture is no different, but usually sculptures are a little bit easier to enjoy give the size and difficulty to build them. I think our fav was the Paul Bunyan. Hard not to dote on the big fella. There was a white twisty orb thing too that I thought was pretty cool. In all honesty there wasn't a sculpture that I didn't enjoy. Whether you're a fan of art, looking to get outdoors, enjoy walking, or just like a little eye candy in your day..this is a good place to check out. And..it's free. Open 365 days a year. Enjoy!
