I saw Leslie Goddard's "The Mystery of Amelia Earhart" at TATC yesterday which was excellent. Enjoyed the art exhibit too. The South Shore Railroad station on Ridge Road is under construction; once the rail line is operating and traubs stopping at this location it would provide an option of accessing TATC fairly easily, but it would be a fairly long walk to the theatre, less than a mile. I do not know whether the City of Munster or TATC plan to provide a shuttle bus for the businesses along Ridge Road. read more

Sandi and I came down on a bus with people from Geneva and Batavia Illinois. This theater is part of a larger building known as the Center for Visual and Performing Arts. We came to experience a tribute to John Denver. As you enter the theater you will find a theater almost in the round. Every seat is a good seat. The sound was fantastic. The matinee was packed. I looked at the schedule and they offer quite a selection depending on your taste. You can eat lunch there if you make reservations. You will also find an art gallery, gift shop and another setting we did not see. The center is on the former site of Lanier School and the old library. What a great location near the highway and Illinois. The week before they hosted Munster's Got Talent. Take a day to explore the location. Visit Three Floyd's and stay overnight. I understand that very soon you will be able to take South Shore and leave the car behind. read more

We saw the John Denver play this weekend. What a cute little place - truly. There was a really cute little gift shop with a lot of jewelry. There was a little stand to buy drinks, which you are allowed to bring in to the theater. The seats were very comfortable, and every seat was great! If you have time and want to see a community theater I would go here! We LOVE John Denver and loved listening to his music - we all had a lively discussion after about the performers in this show and who we thought were good, who we thought were not. In the end, this will be the closest we will ever get to going to a John Denver concert... Enjoy! read more

We came here on January 27th to see Kashmir play, the theater was big and beautiful and was a great place for them to play! It seemed to be in the middle of nowhere but there's plenty of parking, Drinks were cheap and strong and bartenders were fast! I enjoyed every minute of my experience here, This also happens to be where my boyfriend decided to purpose to me! Everything was perfect and now this place will always hold a special place in my heart! I'd definitely come back at least to see another Kashmir show, of all the places I've seen them this place has been one of my favorites! I'd definitely recommend coming to see a show or event here! read more

Munster is not a big town and this a pretty decent theater for northwest Indiana. We saw Johnny Cash: Ring of Fire today and normally see a show once a year or so. The space itself is more than adequate and the performances themselves are quite entertaining. The productions are easily on par with the smaller Indianapolis and Chicago theaters. There is plenty of parking and it is simple to find just off of US 41. Tickets are in the $40 range. The buffet lunch before the shows on the weekends is about $20 and has a big variety of delicious food. The sides are tasty and the salad bar fresh and desert bar was well stocked with various pies, cakes, brownies and cookies. read more

Saw 2 plays here and an art show....all were VERY WELL DONE...it's nice to go see a play once in while and not have to pay the downtown chicago prices!! Quality actors...AMAZING LIGHTING...and did you know the stage can move up??!! The art is very well displayed...there is a free exhibit in the main lobby...as well as a cute store! The tickets are reasonable...my mom went to go see Phantom there and loved it...they have plays geared toward kids in the summer...I love taking my daughter there to spend some time other than the typical...they do a really great job!! read more

I came here for the first time with my son and his kindergarden class to see Beauty and the Beast. It was amazing!!! BOth my son and I were glued to our seat's!! I LOVE the theatre and have lived in Munster for a few years... cant believe that I missed out on this GEM!! We will definitely be back! read more

I have been to the TATC many times. The New Year's Eve shows are usually very well done. However, this year, 2019, Motown and More Revue, was anything but good or professional. First, instead of wearing the clothes of the entertainers of the era, the women chose to wear skin tight glittering outfits. Not appropriate for the time or their build. The female lead spent more time talking than singing. The majority of the time, one or more of the singers were off key and/or flat. The choreography was off as it is apparent they did not rehearse enough if at all. The male singers did not have the range to sing Smokey Robinson or Marvin Gaye and forgot the words. The female lead kept saying the more your drank, the better they sounded. The sound system was buzzing and whomever was operating the sound/mixing board was not experienced. The music over took the singers and the backup singer mics were just as loud as the lead. This group sounded like they just got together on a drunken karaoke night and thought they could form a group. The band was talented and good. They were about the only bright spot in the whole show. I would not go see this act again, even if they paid me. The best part of the evening, was the lady in the corner who was celebrating her 69th birthday and danced all evening. She had more rhythm than the act. She and the other two from the audience who got up onstage for Dancing in the Streets got a better applause than the act did. This was not up to the standards of the acts at TATC. read more

Saw What a Glorious Feeling last night: What a GREAT show! Excellent dance, lots of good singing, good storyline. Nicole Miller simply transformed herself into a young Debbie Reynolds, spot on likeness! We are visiting from Tacoma, Washington, and are associated with a musical theater ourselves. Munster, IN should be very proud of their theater indeed! read more
