It was our first time going here and this place was pretty sweet. The food was pretty great. They had some clever names for the food choices. Also, I love the classic film memorabilia.

let me paint you a picture. my girlfriend and i have been to hollywood palms before (idk if they're related or not but the vibes of the theatre are very similar). good food, good vibes, good seating. this is not that. when i say "bad movie theatre seat" you probably picture one of those old fabric red folding theatre seats. what you most likely don't picture, and what we discovered when we walked in our theatre, was desk chairs. actual rolling office desk chairs. i felt like i was at a work conference. not only were there desk chairs in a movie theatre, but the desk chairs were awful. they were all broken and wobbly and the one my girlfriend had wouldn't go up or down (again, a strange thing for a chair at a movie theatre to be able to hypothetically do!) so she was just a little bit short for the high top the entire time. you would also think that perhaps a theatre with food would have little tables or trays attached to the seats. not strange high top desks that again, made you feel like you were at a work conference. god awful chairs aside...if you're going to serve food, you should cook it. that wasn't our experience. first, our onion rings were just rings, no onions in sight. just chewing on stale ? deep friend dough. i didn't know there was a way to screw up french fries so badly, but they found a way. they weren't so much french fries, more soggy pieces of cardboard that crunched in the places they shouldn't have, and were soft in all the places they should have been crunchy. every single piece of food ingested left a bad aftertaste, which of course caused for a really great viewing experience!! now for the actual entrees. my chicken tenders? dry and kind of cold but also kind of warm. that seemed to be a theme, because my girlfriend's steak quesadilla was the same! ice cold and soggy, but somehow still warm in the middle. it was like she had a limp stale quesadilla that they took out of a forgotten cabinet and threw a few pieces of steak on it that seemed to be freshly taken from the cow, painted grey, and slapped onto a tortilla. finally, the garnishes! thank god they remembered it! the quesadilla was topped with a few scattered tomato cubes that looked as if they had been thrown on the plate from across the room. perhaps while wheeling past on a desk chair. in short, at the end of the day i'm really just shocked and confused on how so many things can go wrong for a company that is still open. i guess i understand why we got these tickets for free at a school involvement fair. the one star is for wicked.

This theater is a very cool theater. It have a lot of interesting decor everywhere. Each room have different themes which surprises me everytime I come here. The food is pretty good. I ordered the taco salad and it is pretty decent. The portion is pretty big for me. The price is good since we always come watch a movie on a Wednesday night. It is $5 on Wednesdays. If you have a coupon from a local coupon book, it is buy one get one free which is a good deal. The service was good both time for us.The waiter always comes back and ask if we want drinks refill or if we wanted to order more food. For me, the women's bathroom was clean both time that I was there. The only thing I didn't like was the office chair. I wish it is a recliner chair like the other theater.

super! Great for comedy night, and I had a fantastic time. The food was wonderful, and the comics out of this world.

There's been bad reviews in the past but he truly does not care about how he treats the people that spend money at his establishment. I wish I could leave a better review, but our experience at CG's was absolutely unacceptable. The manager/ owner Glen Martino completely mishandled a situation with my family while one of my family members was getting sick in the bathroom. Instead of showing concern for a guest's wellbeing, he assumed they were dining and dashing, yelling curse words and slurs in the process at my female family members. This lack of professionalism not only disrupted the show completely and then throwing the rest of us out even though they had our cards for the bill during this whole process. To make matters worse, the manager physically assaulted my brother during the commotion which stopped the show in front of the rest of the guests. This was supposed to be a fun family night out, but it turned into a nightmare because of the manager's (Glen Martino's) hot-headed and rude behavior. It's shocking that someone like this is allowed to run a business. I highly recommend avoiding CG's Comedy Club. Save your money and spend it somewhere that values and respects its guests. Glen Martino should be ashamed of his behavior, and honestly, he should be fired if he could be. This was hands down the worst experience we've ever had at any venue. 0 stars if possible would not recommend.

We had to silence our phones and make sure to buy 2 drinks each. We were a little late for the opener was performing. They sat us at the middle front table. I liked the way you light up the menu to get a waitress to come. We each had a tropical cocktail then a seltzer. Comedy was great. We were at the later show. At the end, we were talking to one of the comedians and the workers kept pushing us out which was a little rude. That's the reason for minus 1 star. Other than that we had a great experience.

VOUCHER VEXATION The…read moreTaste of Bolingbrook is a great way to enjoy local businesses, but they need to revisit their ticketing scheme for 2026. This annual event is free to the public and takes place at the Bolingbrook Promenade towards the end of May. There's a decent variety of vendors although some are repeats (places serving the same thing) and some are ripoffs. I didn't see any public bathrooms, so we just used Macy's. The food & drink tickets themselves were a GIGANTIC 4" x 8". Who designed these, held the stack of proofs and honestly thought it was a reasonable size?? Bear in mind, a typical "keep this stub" raffle ticket measures 1" x 2", so what they gave people were SIXTEEN TIMES bigger than necessary. There were a handful of non-food vendors, like Ivy Hall (spin the wheel for bonus loyalty points), a 3D printing shop, Bolingbrook Garden Club, and several home remodeling companies. We really appreciated the sensory oasis, which gave our little guy an opportunity to color and relax for a bit. The lumpia (tiny crispy egg rolls, 4 for $4) from Riceby were tasty, as were the onigiri (we got pork belly adobo and beef bulgogi for $7/ea). I settled for mediocre sliders from Star Cinema Grill (2 for $9), no way I was waiting half an hour for Uncle Booker's BBQ or street tacos. A lot of people were confused that vendors were ticket only; naturally, lines to buy tickets stretched two dozen deep. My wife waited 20 minutes for a lobster roll from the Maine Lobster food truck, and it wasn't all that delicious, nor did it come with chips or a side (plus it was $25 fu%!#g dollars!) Beer was disappointing. A Miller Lite was $7 and we assumed we'd be getting 16oz tallboys......nope, 12oz cans. I rarely drink just one beer but at that size and price (coupled with the fact I didn't want to burn up precious tickets) it was a one-and-done brewski for me. * TL;DR * This was an otherwise nice event hampered by long lines, questionable prices and oddly oversized tickets. Don't get me wrong, this is a solid way to kill a few hours on a Saturday in early summer, I just wish food & drink were a little more affordable and the vouchers a little more ergonomic. I also disliked that food and alcohol shared the same tickets, so at some point it came down to "do I spend my last 7 tickets on a shitty beer or an undercooked slider?" Long waits at nearly every vendor discouraged me from trying things I wanted to sample. The tickets were FAR too large to fit into pockets, so unless you brought a backpack you were awkwardly holding onto them the entire time. The live music was nice, though. Unless things change for the better, we might pass on next year's Taste of Bolingbrook.

(And I heard from a friend that attended later in the day it changed to cash only). I sampled some sliders from Ted's and ice cream nachos from the creamery. The vendors and food are spread out. I…read morecontacted this company to help me throw a surprise party for my wife, and it couldn't have gone better. I already had a restaurant reserved, and one of the great things about this company is that you get to choose your own location--you're not stuck with a preset venue. They arrived early to get everything set up and were totally ready when it was time for the big surprise with our family and friends. After my wife nearly fainted (LOL), the party kicked off right away. All the characters are played by people you choose, which made for a ton of participation--and luckily, my friends and family are all a little nuts, so they totally went for it. The 1920s theme was super fun, and the folks I picked to be the "victims" really hammed it up. The company provided scripts for the key players and gave great direction to keep things moving. It never felt awkward or confusing--they were right there to guide things along, so no one felt lost. It was absolutely hilarious watching my friends and family try their hand at acting. I'll 100% be reaching out to this company again if the chance comes up. You should too!!
