We take our family to a handful of movies each year and the occasional date night movie when there is a film out we want to see. The theaters could use a small amount of attention/upkeep/cleaning but overall they are in really good shape. Still nice to have a movie theater here in town. Theater food prices are what they are...overpriced...but that is the same in every theater. It's how they make their profit. Understood. And if you sign up for their newsletter/email you get discount offers pretty regularly. I also enjoy the recliner theaters and being able to pick your seats ahead of time. Staff is always courteous and friendly and helpful, and there is usually a decent selection of movies. Overall a 4 outta 5 experience everytime. read more

The good. Plenty of screens to see basically anything out. Friendly workers. The bad. Last night the police were there when we arrived because cars in the parking lot were being went through and cleaned out. The theater itself isn't having the money put into it that it should. I was in the mega screen and the speaker constantly crackled. The seats are grimy looking and feeling, they need a good cleaning. To top it off the bathrooms were dirty. Hope that maybe AMC will build a new theater in cedar falls or Waterloo sometime. read more

A month ago I received "sorry tickets" for an unpleasant experience resulting in me and 4 kids having to leave a movie right after it started due to an illness, the manager on staff wasn't concerned and dismissed us resulting in our first bad experience with 4 kids that have never been to a theatre before BUT the GM, if I remember right, reached out through and reimbursed me 5 tickets. I planned on taking the kids to see Gabby's Dollhouse the following month (today) for a birthday outing to make it up to them, the website would not work properly and wouldn't let me reserve seats with the complimentary tickets. To avoid a seating issue due to their faulty system like the last time having to split the kids up in different sections I called and spoke to a manager named Destiny. She confirmed reserving me 5 seats together and when I got there to just give her the tickets and we would be good to go. First thing out of the gate, we get there, 2 of the 5 seats "magically got sold right before we got there" she blamed the system. I was flexible and settled for different seats. She directed me to room 4 for a 5:10pm showing, we went in and got settled around 5pm but was thrown off by why the movie seemed to have already been playing. Short story shorter, it was a different showing time and ended 30 minutes after we got there, it was supposed to be 1 hr 30 minutes. We missed an hour of the movie. I went back to address the issue and Destiny and a long haired gentleman came up, right out of the gate Destiny blamed the projectors, the guy went to verify but I noticed he went the opposite way, I then noticed there was a Gabby moving playing in 2 separate rooms 4 & 9, we were directed to 4 which had started around an hour prior making them both overlap, after bringing this up to Destiny, she immediately dismissed my problem saying I should have read the ticket stub. I went to the room I was directed to, why would I question that and why in the world would I know the same movie is playing in 2 separate rooms overlapping at the same time?! She continued to dismiss me and blamed me for not checking my ticket stub instead of admitting she messed up and told the long hair guy the same thing ( I don't know if he was management as well but she acted like she was answering to him even though she said she was a manager). For the sake of making a scene in front of the kids I just left, but not before she made a saracastic, passive aggressive smarta** "have a good day". This is twice now and 10 wasted tickets and buckets of overpriced popcorn later. I havent been to this theatre in over 10 years and the only 2 times I come back to take my nieces for a first time movie experience- they're both bad, albeit the 1st experience got partially rectified followed by a second even worse experience. Let me be clear, NONE of the front line staff I had any problems with in either scenario, they were all great, it was all management. I don't know who's what manager in what capacity but I count 4 different management between the 2 experiences and only 1 gave a crap about my concern and that was over an email who I think was the GM. This has been an absolute nightmare of an experience and resulted in ruining my 4 girls birthday movie outting for a movie we've been planning for a month, all because the management didn't appear to know what they're doing and kept making excuses, or frankly just don't care. read more

I love coming here to watch new movies. they got great prices Tuesdays and I love being able to pick our own seats ahead of time. I love their recliners and the people are always very nice and helpful. read more

I literally saw a rat on the wall eating popcorn while I was watching a movie.. this place is disgusting, will never go to any business that has rodents. Forever ruins movies for me in the cedar valley area, as we don't have any other options in the area. And it was theater 1. read more

Just saw "Killers of the Flower Moon" at Crossroads cinema operated by Marcus. The seating was fine and the theater was clean. The experience was poor. The movie was ruined by the noise coming from the Taylor Swift movie in the next theater. I will think twice before I return to see another movie here. read more

Not a bad theater. I'm not sure I'd call it glamourous or "way awesome", but compared to a lot of other options in the area, it's great. It always has a wide variety of movies (8 or more) with multiple showings (including daytime showings). I've rarely had to wait in line to buy a ticket, but maybe I come at off-hours. In fact, at pretty much any show I've gone to here, there's rarely more than 20 or 30 theater in the entire movie room. It's usually closer to 10 people. I definitely don't mind. Movies tend to start on time-ish. They always throw in less than 10 minutes of movie previews beforehand. Otherwise, you can almost always show up exactly on-time and not expect to waste your time while you wait for a movie to start. The sound is usually perfect. It's loud enough to feel inclusive without making me want to stab someone because it's too loud. The screens are well-maintained and the colors are gorgeous. No complaints there. Like all movie theaters, the food is pretty overpriced. That's pretty standard. However, they do have quite a bit of options including candy, nachos, popcorn, and lots more. You can butter and season your own popcorn if you wish. If you sign up for their e-mail newsletter, they mail out weekly coupons to save on food and treats. (Like Buy a Soda, Get Free Popcorn, etc.) As a side bonus, they do have arcade games that you can play in the lobby - as well as plenty of benches to wait in case you came a bit early. The theater itself is pretty clean. I've never had any issues with sticky floors or gross seats. All of the carpeting is nicely maintained, I've never seen a floor light that's not functioning, and all of the seating is comfortable and feels modern and up-to-date. It's really quite a nice and clean theater. The bathrooms are a bit messy when I go, but that's pretty standard for theaters. They aren't "gross" messy, but there's usually toilet paper scraps or paper towels on the ground almost always. The toilets themselves are clean enough though. They're working on deals and specials. At the moment, students with valid ID can get in for $5 on Thursdays. All movies and times on Tuesday are $5 for any person. If you watch when you come here, it's actually relatively inexpensive to see a movie. Final Thoughts: It's not something you're going to want to write home about to your parents, but it is something where you'll be totally comfortable coming back to see another movie. Foods a bit expensive, but again, that's standard. It's very clean, comfortable to watch movies, and if you plan your viewings, it's actually pretty inexpensive too - and they usually have a good selection of movies to see. read more

Went to see dead pool today. Wasn't busy at all waited in line to grab something to eat before the movie. We decided to get 4 cheeseburgers. Well as I'm watching the manager do this he has no gloves on didn't was his hands (after he had just had his hands in the popcorn mechanics) he opens White Castle burgers and puts all 4 on a plate and into the microwave they go. 3 of them were still cold when we got to our seats. They gave us our money back. We sat towards the top, they had the heat on when we walked in (today was 58 degrees) then they decided to put the air on. Then the heat again and so on and so on throughout the movie. My fiancé and I were hot and cold throughout it all. The sound could have been a lot better we couldn't hear some parts of it. Overall the movie was great but the experience was horrible. read more

My hometown movie fix. Maybe not glamorous or with eat in dinner but it more than fits the bill. I can remember waiting in line for the original Star Wars & ET. It has been updated numerous times and now has a few Ultra screens for those much anticipated shows. Snacks are like many other theaters...outrageously expensive. Tuesday is $2 popcorn & pop night. read more
