Not the best motive I suppose, but it is what it is. This year I decided to send flowers from a couple of different places so she wouldn't be expecting them if she were to look at the bank account (I used multiple cards). The arrangement I chose from Golden Touch was pretty awesome and easily my favorite. It was a modern arrangement with lilies and orchids. I ordered it on Wednesday the 9th for delivery on Monday the 14th. On Saturday the 12th I received a call from Golden Touch explaining that they were out of the flowers they needed to make that arrangement. I tried to find some substitutes, but they kept suggesting things like snap dragons and roses instead of the more unusual flowers I had originally purchased like orchids and proteas. All in all I was very disappointed that they waited until the Saturday before Valentine's day to tell me this. It was too late for me to order flowers that don't suck or don't cost 10x's more than they already did. I won't be using them again just because they were in my opinion inconsiderate.

The prices are good and the stock is different than other places. Where they shine: high end…read morefabrics, appliqués, trims, boas, Mardi Gras picture frames, custom second line umbrellas, masks, friendly service. Good prices. The one downside is that the line in the fabric room can get long and it's first come first served, so when I just needed a roll of ribbon I had to stand behind 15 people who needed fabric cut. That was tedious. They don't have as many different throws as some of the other places, but this is a good place to come to fill in the gaps. Next year I'm going to really do up my Mardi Gras costume and I'm going to get some higher end fabric and this is where I'm coming!
