On the way out of the park, my 11 yr old niece began to overheat so we popped into the Margaritaville Retail store where we sat on what appeared to be decorative seating by the door to cool her down & get a drink. An African American woman with a mask who worked there came & rudely informed us that we couldn't sit there. She didn't bother to understand the situation or offer help. According to my son I am going to live here when I die. This restaurant is located in Citywalk right next to Universal. It is of course all island vibes. All the times that I have come here they quickly seat me despite how busy they are. This last time was no different. Our waitress (which unfortunately I forgot her name) was wonderful. She took care of us quickly. We ordered nachos to start. We ate the nachos in two seconds. I got their regular margarita and omg was it good. On the rocks... I have to say I had two. They were absolutely delicious. I could of easily had two more but you probably would of had to carry me out. The food was great. It is on the moderate end of pricey, but it is filling and to me that's the most important. It is what I like to call a tourist trap but its a good one. This is located right on Citywalk in Universal. They were steady when we got there, but we were able to sit at the bar with no wait. Menu looked good and prices were average for that environment, but we just had a few drinks. The bartender was amazing. He was attentive, very helpful, personable, and pleasant. Well folks, I really want this to be a good one.... I love Jimmy Buffett I ordered it twice around the sun burger , It sat on the salamander a little too long .... The gun was super soggy, and the burger was dripping in grease.... Kind of broke my heart I Orlando I figured their food would be pretty good.. My wife, Caesar salad looked amazing. The dressing tasted like it was made on site and not bought. My son got the boneless wings. The fries are pretty good. But this is definitely not a cheeseburger in paradise, which is kind of a bummer. I wish I would've ordered the coconut shrimp. .... The retail store here at City Walk is like any of the other- on the pricier side. BUT, for those of you who are a Jimmy B fan and love Margaritaville~ you can get some serious swag here. We were here on a night when it was pouring rain, unfortunately, and I did purchase a long sleeve sun shirt to help cover up after getting slightly soaked. There were more people lounging about than actually shopping between the rain and the excessive wait times for the restaurant. That made things a little difficult for browsing. On the 4th of July we went to that restaurant on Orlando's city walk in the Universal Parks, my wife, my little boy and I went. At the front desk we were served by a Latin boy who we asked to please prepare a specific table that had been vacant. He told us that we should wait a few minutes for it to be cleaned and we told him that we would wait. After more than 30 minutes waiting and seeing that all the restaurant tables were cleaned, except for the one we were waiting for despite standing in front of him with a small child who was dying of hunger, while he looked into our eyes, and secrets were told with the other person who worked there at the Front Desk. I am convinced that it is all due to the hatred he feels for Latinos. Despite being that, it was also obviously something personal. In the end we asked for a manager who came and tried to fix the situation and prepare the table for us, but we decided not to eat there because what can we expect from a type of person like that, we did not doubt for a second that he could spit or do something to our food . I would never recommend that place to anyone, I would never set foot in a restaurant with such detestable service and inhumane and racist people. read more

This was my first time visiting this restaurant. The wait was a little longer than quoted. The restaurant is very loud, from the music to the performers. I found it a little hard to talk to my friends. I ordered the tacos but substituted it with grilled shrimp. It was average. Nothing too exciting. They did give me a big portion. The chips and salsa were tasty. The shrimp was not seasoned. I asked for extra avocado and hot sauce just for some flavor. Overall it was a decent dinner. I'm going to give you a tip right off the bat. If you are going to be dining at Margaritaville and intend to make any purchases from the store, wait until after your meal because you'll have a $10 credit on your receipt that you can use in the store. Generally, there's a bit of a wait to dine and you're given the traditional buzzer. Many people find this a good time to check out the store or grab a Margarita from the window and have a seat in one of the chairs. Yes, they even sell these awesome, colourful, comfy adirondack chairs. Not the ones they have have sitting around, nope, you'll get a brand new one shipped to your home. And let me tell you, they are some kind of expensive.... around $300. I've been saying for a decade now that I'm going to purchase 2 of them. Yea... I'll let you know when I get around to having the money for that to happen! Inside the store, there's just about anything and everything you can think of with the Margaritaville logo stamped on it. Clothes, flip-flops, signs to hang in your home, glasses, beach towels, magnets, keychains, and the list goes on and on and on. i've even given in to the whole tourist thing and purchased a "It's 5 o'clock Somewhere" t-shirt. There's so much cool stuff in this store, it really is hard to walk away without making some type of purchase. The store is a nice size, but has small aisles, so when crowded it can be difficult to walk around in. It's also not very handicapped friendly because of the size and all the people. The employees here are really friendly and will be happy to help you out if you need assistance. Even if you aren't a total Parrothead, it's worth it to stop in here for at least a few minutes just to check things out. read more

Nice atmosphere, ok service, food took a long time to come out and we didn't order much. It was a slow afternoon so I'm not sure why it is so slow. Had the fish tacos, chips and salsa, margarita and beer. The margarita and chips with salsa is good but the fish tacos are one of the worst I've had. I love fish tacos and have had a lot of them but this is smothered in mushy over sauces slaw with little flavor. The craft beer is pricey too and the selection of beer is small. The atmosphere is great, except you have to wait an ungodly amount of time to seat the main seating area. My party avoided that, we went to the high top section and didn't get any service for about 5 minutes. The server was nice but knew she was running behind. I had the shrimp scampi, and they decided to put in whole garlic cloves which isn't what I had the impression of them doing. I finished the food rather quickly after walking across universal all day. I am so disappointed with the service of this place. Starting with the bartender Sean overlooking at Hispanic customers that were waiting in line to be attended before me to their concerns/questions and attended new white customers instead and they simply felt racially dismissed had moved on. Terrible to watch. Then I get attended by server Roy J. #7589 which almost didn't want to attend me (I'm Hispanic) but because I spoke English I'm sure it helps to get a table. After chatting with Roy regarding what best to order I decided to get a pork-pull burger. I waited for a long long time to finally get the wrong order and get a simple $17 bacon burger. I immediately tell the server that it was the wrong order, but even though he asked me if I wanted to wait again for the correct order I decided not to take the risk to send back the order and eat it. The burger was just ok but not worth $17 USD. Roy asked me if I wanted another beer, I said yes please, and also the check. I would have thought that he would at least had come to the second beer or discount the wrong burger, but not such thigh happened. It was ridiculous terrible service, expensive, and definitely not worth the wait nor the obvious racial preference. Furthermore, a group of white males was smoking, but they only tell a Hispanic guy that there was no smoking allowed yet the group of white males continue smoking without anybody telling them that it was not allowed. I would never again spend one single dollar at this location that trained people this way. This is also why I only left a $4 tip on a $40 bill. Our waiter was pretty good even if he was extremely busy but the food was just soso.First It took about an hour and 1/2 to get our food but they were busy so not a big deal . We had the conch fritters the filling itself was tasty but the conch was like chewing on a rubber band. Next came the scampi Alfredo which really needed seasoning.
