I just completed my first-ever drawing classes with artist and art educator, Tina Cauller. One word: phenomenal. It is hard to find beginning drawing classes for adults in the Dallas area, and I couldn't find many reviews of Tina's classes before joining. Now, having completed the course, I wonder if the few prior reviewers had even turned up to class?! I loved her traditional teaching format, which incrementally built lessons on subjects that drawing students have studied for centuries. The excellent and thorough technical instruction, along with a relaxed and supportive art practice environment, gave me time for trial and error. The amount of growth in every student in the class from first to final class was outstanding. Tina has extensive experience and translates it into interesting, engaging, and supportive learning-to-draw lessons, making me believe I can draw anything I set out to. He's one of the best teachers in Dallas, but personally I think he's best all around in America! All of the foundational and essential skills I've learned through painting and figure drawing has still been profound and applicable in my working life now as an adult, working at my dream creative job today 14 years later. He makes learning art interactive and fun, and he taught me not only technical skills, but how I should approach my work in a thoughtful, conceptual, and meaningful way, which is a must for college and in the working industry today. My husband and I took turns working on our Gudetama rug and I think it turned out pretty well! The staff here are super helpful during the tutorial as well as guiding you at the end to fill in gaps to make your rug as fluffy as possible. Food is allowed to be brought inside so we ordered some stuff from Hopdoddy next door and ate while crafting.

When they finally texted me back they were clueless and rude. When I went to pick up the art after the party they had all our stuff labeled with random dates (other than the date of the event?) and asked me to see a picture to help them find our pieces. Seems like the staff does not want to be there, which isn't great for hosting a fun event with kids. Too bad, it's a nice option to bounce houses, but the customer service is off the charts awful and they are completely disorganized.
