Marzipan can also be used as a thin sheet over cakes. It can be glazed and topped with chocolate or fruit. So I had to try it due to it being incredible eye candy. Santo Tome has been around since the 1850s and this one was adjacent to a main square so it's quite popular for locals and turistas. I got a few and enjoyed eating them although they all tasted somewhat the same, but it was all good. So if you're in Toledo, Oh....I mean Spain, stop on in.

The restaurant has been around for over a century and they've perfected their craft by now. They were very busy when we arrived and the line to get in was out the door. Fortunately, it looks like the restaurant owns the whole block, so we were lead to another indoor area with a lot of seating available. The Churros con Chocolate was incredible. The churros were nice and crispy and the chocolate was hot and rich. They combined perfectly. Once I finished the churros, I devoured the remaining chocolate by scraping the cup using the provided spoon.

They change the tastes of ice cream depending on the season and all of them are amazing (their fruit gelato options are unbelievable fresh). I don't tolerate milk very well but this is the only ice cream which never makes me feel sick or heavy after eating. the place is small in the first floor but they have several tables downstairs and also some in the street. Don't miss the affogato (coffee with ice cream) and... nutella crepes :).

We chose the outside dining because a fine mist of water constantly kept us cool on a hot Spanish afternoon! We were immediately greeted by the most handsome young server who helped us considerably, there was a major communication issue..our Spanish was not up to par! We were served bread and butter not just any butter. Shaped like small tarts with a bread crust on a plate! Totally impressed. I had the mozzarella arugula tomato salad topped with infused avocado and olive! The presentation was great! My friends had a variety of three course lunches! They looked delicious! Great service laid back attitude beautiful people!
