I am a person who would never damage someone's reputation, but this time I will comment on my experience June 24 -2025 I pay 1000 dlls because they take my case of my 5-year-old daughter I am a naturalized American citizen, so that my daughter gets her permanent residency, they told me that if I sent some documents and ready previously I called to see how the case was going and without an answer around May they communicate with me that they need to validate how La Niña is legally here if there are documents or something that proves that she is here legally, I tell you that I have nothing I told you the case now they want to charge me 1000+ for investigating if there are documents with the cbp and fucks I do not recommend this place at all nothing professional, and I am still waiting I discredit the case I will look for someone to help me .... :( read more

Worst outfit you could ever trust with your life. They deal in negligence and false promises. Paid $7k up front and they never did an ounce of work. Dropped my case and tried to leave me to the wolves. Luckily I found a real lawyer and counter sued them and got some of my money back. Had I not found a real lawyer I would have been up ish creek. I have called many times and no call backs have been done. They literally went silent and as a law institution, i believe this is a lack of their promise. Never took my calls. Always 'in a meeting' or 'out of office'. Messages were either ignored or returned by an her assistant the 'Queen of Condescension'. Continuances were made without consultation. Promised Court motions were never filed. On multiple occasions she misled me on legal fact and/or court motions. Two days before trial I phoned the law firm and I was told that she was no longer there. She never contacted me. The firm was forced to send someone totally unfamiliar with my case. They will nickel and dime you to death. I went for a simple naturalization filing for my citizenship. The attorney wanted me to do their work and run around to collect documents needed instead of doing it themselves I finally got fade up and asked them to refund my retainer and instead of giving me a full refund they made things up and gave me 60% back They are the reason why attorneys get a bad reputation and I feel really sorry for their unassuming clients. read more

If I could give this law firm 0 stars, I absolutely would. Listen to all the other low reviews, I promise you should hire someone else for your needs!! I hired this firm in September after I got arrested for a DUI & they have done nothing but headaches. If Susie still works there, you'll never hear from her. Their office clerks have no idea what's going on with the cases even though they're assigned to call/email and/or text you with updates. Don't ask them follow up questions because they won't know anything. I have worked with 3 different attorneys so far, none of them familiar with my case off the top of their head. To think I gave this place 5k to help me and instead I've been ignored, delayed, and made to feel like my case didn't matter. They say they send notices, they say they'll look into it, but they never return with updates. Look at the other reviews on their poor communication. I never had experience a worst customer service in my life. My family is suffering consequences now my husband send his DACA paper renewal on March 2nd the firm told him they were going send the paper work to immigration he tech out a month after and the response was that it was up to review that they haven't send it. My husband with them again to know what was going on because he never received a letter from immigration confirmation that papers were received now they are saying they just summited his application on may 9th his work permit expires on the end of may my husband has to work we are in the process of buying a house which we can't do because of this process the firm charge my husband $1,000.00 for their services not including the $ 500.00 of the application fee. I do not recommend this firm we are really worried about what is going to happen. read more

I completely agree with "Isa". My husband and I wasted one hour of our time at this law firm. If you or your beneficiary are not Mexican, they won't have answers to your questions. So, do NOT waste your time. And even if you are Mexican, think twice before you hire these people. I have heard that they cannot careless if they can actually help you or not, but still take you in for $$$. I was on Visa Waiver Program and we had to explain what it is to the attorney's assistant. Then we had to explain the same to a very young male attorney who wasn't knowledgeable or helpful, and then again the same to another assistant. The young man told us that there was nothing he could do to help us work things out the way we wanted, but if we paid 1600 USD, he could help our situation in some other way, which wasn't our option. He then, brought the 2nd assistant who was very defensive and unpleasant when we responded to her question with honesty - She asked, "So, did he help your problem?" We told her "No, he did not and he does not seem knowledgable enough to handle our case." At the end, we said no thank you and left. We paid a little more and hired someone else, who is extremely successful in what she does, and now I have my case sorted within 4 months from my original application. She has proven to us that Maria Jones Law Firm is a joke! read more

This has been the worst experience ever. First I go in to sign the contract that I have to put 300$ down for and send me home. The following week I go back and find out the program I was applying for was suspended so there is nothing we can do but wait.. They call me a month later and say nothing has changed. This goes on till July and they say "we'll just call you when we hear something". I waited till November and not one call. So I decided to cancel the process at the beginning of November.The First Lady tells me that it should take a couple of weeks but they will keep 150$ because that's what the contract says (even though they didn't do nothing) I was like fine. 3 weeks go by and I call because no refund yet, they tell me it could take up to a month so I was like ok. Then I call again and the lady says" well idk what's going on I'll patch you threw so u can leave a message". I do leave a message but never hear back from them. So I called again and this time she tells me that the refund has been approved on 12/22/15 but I have to wait till January 25th. Seriously??? So irritated with their incompetence. Please stay away from this law firm if you want to avoid headaches.. read more

Worst ever, my family and myself had gone to them with separate cases and we were all treated with the same buffet mentality. They changed our attorneys multiple times and never gave us a Chace to become personal with who ever was working our case. At one point I was told nothing could be done and I would have to go back to my country of origin which I have never even been to that I remember. When asked for a refund they said there was none because they felt they did their job to equate the cost which I feel they did nothing but ask for continuance after continuance. i was highly recommended by one of my relatives to hire this law firm but all i received in return is NOTHING. I read most of the one star comments on here and they are all true because they ALL happened to me!! I was first attended by a young rookie lawyer who was not qualified enough to even give me a straight answer. I then had to wait another 30 mins in a meeting room NOT an office but a MEETING ROOM!! Before that i had to wait over an hr and a half for them to attend to me. They bring in a new lawyer who feels they can take my case and resolve it within 8 months to 1 year. I go ahead and pay the fees needed to proceed with my case. I then in return was told i needed to come in at a later day and talk to my ACTUAL lawyer. Im thinking "Wait didnt i just speak to 2 lawyers already??" But NO i guess they were there assistants masked as lawyer. I returned wks later to speak to my actual lawyer Paula Padilla ( she is really famous on here). She then reheard my case and said she wasnt going to be able to help me. I think quickly asked for my refund because off the bat i knew the second i walked into that firm was a JOKE. They try to comfort you with a Video tape recording of successful stories from pervious cliental. They have lots of Pictures up with Maria Jones standing next to random people, probably more cliental. They even have fresh cookies to feed everyone. But at the end of the day all they want is that money give you bad news and then make you wait FOREVER to receive your refund hoping you forget about the money. It has been over a month and im still waiting for my money... Dont go here unless you have lots of money to burn and plenty of time to kill. Sloppy work. My fiancee had 2 different spellings of her last name in the documents that she was suppose to bring to the American Embassy in Bogota. This was discovered 2 business days before her Interview. It was fixed in the 11th hour, but the mistake caused me a lot of stress of not knowing if this would be resolved in time. As many immigrants, I came to the United States with the dream of a better life.  I came to US illegally as an average Mexican. I did not have a way to get a visa; I did not have properties or a hefty bank account and neither a US family that could sponsor me. After living in US for over 10 years - I met my wife, an American citizen; got married and had two US kids. I went to Maria Jones Law firm to help my husband with his immigration and they told me I had to do a Foia first, it took about close to 2 yrs to finally receive information from the law firm about the status. I called many times in which I was transferred and would always get voice mails. When I finally get a call back they would tell me we have to wait. Finally git a call that they had some news from the Foia and we can set up an appointment almost a month later, I agreed since it was around the holidays. It was supposed to be yesterday at 4pm but I get a voice mail message the same day saying the lawyer can't make it if we can reschedule the 22nd at 11am. My husband and i both have to work, it's not acceptable to tell someone the same day if you already planned your schedule. I'm reading the other reviews and now I'm not so sure if I want to have Maria Jones Law firm representing me. Very dissapointed. read more
