I paid $6,782 up front based on the understanding that this would cover the investigative phase and early representation. During my consultation, the conversations repeatedly emphasized that my "future," "freedom," and "life" were at risk if I didn't retain the firm immediately. At the time I was scared and vulnerable, and looking back, the tone now feels unnecessarily alarm-driven given how my case ultimately resolved. Over the following months, very little seemed to happen on my case, but I was still charged recurring $500 "criminal investigation minimum" fees plus additional charges for brief emails and short calls on top of that. My understanding of a "minimum fee" was that it would apply only when less than that amount of work occurred, not as an extra charge added regardless of activity. The wording in the agreement felt unclear, and the way the fee was applied didn't feel consistent. When I requested a full accounting, the billing appeared fragmented across many tiny time entries in months where the minimum fee was also added. I asked for clarification and said clearly that I wanted to resolve my questions internally and amicably first. After one reply from the firm, my follow-up request went unanswered. When the matter finally became a formal case, I was then told I would need to pay an additional $15,000 for "pre-trial work," even though only one hearing was expected. This was never clearly disclosed at the beginning, and it felt like a sudden financial surprise at the worst possible moment. I had also previously been told that unused funds would roll forward if the case escalated -- but when I asked about that, the explanation changed completely. At that point I no longer felt comfortable remaining with the firm. I hired a new attorney for $3,500. Within one round of plea negotiations, we obtained a highly favorable resolution that removed all felony charges and resulted in a much better outcome than what I had been led to believe was realistic. My new counsel also expressed concern about how the early strategy and billing from my prior representation had been handled, and explained that my situation was actually fairly straightforward -- not the extreme, catastrophic scenario I was initially presented with. Based on my experience, I strongly recommend that anyone considering this firm ask very direct questions about: * what their "monthly minimum" fee actually means in practice * when and how large additional fees may be * whether funds truly roll forward if the case progresses * what realistic case outcomes look like before being told worst-case scenarios I left this experience feeling financially taken advantage of, misled about the severity of my situation, and ignored when I asked reasonable questions about billing. I would not use this firm again.

Richard Suzuki will be my first call for any and all legal services I may require!

The officers were aware of my knee injury. They removed my immobilizer without my permission and, according to facts and body cam audio , targeted my injured knee while making threatening statements. "You'll have more then a torn ACL when I'm done with you" The injury became so severe that jail medical staff denied me entry and I was transported to the emergency room. Afterward, I felt that my case was handled in a way that ignored the circumstances surrounding my injury. My Army unit reached out to Mr. O'Sullivan and the court to provide input and ask questions, but those concerns were not addressed. " I have an Email from a 1st SGT saying this. When the garage video got illegally deleted and longer available, I was told there was no way to obtain it by Mr Sullivan and that it would become my word against theirs. During my five months dealing with this case, I felt pressured rather than represented. I was told future plea offers could get worse, but I refused to accept something I did not believe was right. Ultimately, I no longer have those felony charges on my record. At sentencing, Mr. O'Sullivan did not appear, and a substitute attorney represented me. That attorney showed more effort fighting for me in that one appearance than I experienced during the entire time I was represented.

After reviewing my documents and evidence, I was told the firm could take my case and was given a breakdown of costs, including a $4,000 upfront fee. After I called back the same day to proceed with payment, I requested clear points of contact for communication. That was not provided, and instead I had to repeatedly call and even visit the office in person just to get basic updates. Phone calls felt like they went through a call center with constant redirection, and communication was very disorganized. Over time, I continued following up because there were no meaningful updates on my case. During this period, I was also charged for phone conversations despite the lack of progress or clarity. Eventually, after multiple delays and after being told the attorney was on vacation, I was finally scheduled to come into the office. When I met with Attorney Dominic and paralegal Nayeli, the meeting began with, "What are we here for today?"--which was concerning given I had already gone through intake and paid. At that meeting, I was then told the firm could not take my case after all. This directly contradicted what I was told during the initial consultation. When I questioned this, I was given unclear and inconsistent explanations, including that no one recognized the prior approval or conversation. At that point, I had already invested significant time trying to communicate with the office and traveling there multiple times. I also received only a partial refund, despite no actual work being done on my case. Overall, my experience felt disorganized, lacking in communication, and unprofessional. I hope this helps others set clear expectations when considering this firm. They deserve to be reported to the bar.
