I went to a Zumba class in Odenton, and I had a blast! Since then I've joined as a member, and I've tried every single group class they offer, and I attend classes in both locations. I have lost over 30 lbs postpartum, going to a variety of the classes like Lift, barre, Push bootcamp, Spin, Fight, Centergy, Primal Yoga, and Zumba. This spring we are doing a 6 week run club and that is the coolest! When my daughter is a bit older I can't wait to bring her to Mommy & Me classes. She makes an occasional appearance at Zumba and it's the cutest! I've even gotten my senior mom to come to classes! As a woman-owned and managed gym, for women, it's my safe space and my happy place! The instructors and staff, childcare, and members are what make Transformations so amazing! And as a former member of some other expensive gyms, Transformations is very affordable! You can work out anywhere, but it won't have the supportive, fun vibes we have while we push each other to be our best selves, with grit and grace. I love my sweat sisters!

This is nothing more than using existing members to pay for these kids as a sales move. I'm sure that PF is monitoring how many of these free memberships result in full time membership and have decided to keep it going. No other gym does this and enough of the current members put up with it to keep doing it. I stated that some of the equipment has been out of service for several weeks. PF states that their maintenance group has a large area to cover, in other words, they're not going to hire more people to reduce down time. This would not apply to an independent business where they would soon go out of business.

Well, its cheap. So Planet Fitness made a business around selling low cost memberships to the…read moremasses, and overall the center is full of equipment that's reasonably new (I mean the location is less than a few years old). However, while the gym boasts the Lunk Free Zone, the gym is: - largely filled with the under 16 crowd who take over machines, while they talk and text instead of working out. Since joining a year ago - Kids who are working out in their socks, moving weights around with sweaty feet, and who walk past the half dozen cleaning stations leaving equipment covered in sweat - being used by these kids in ways which defy good physiology - but the upside is when one of them drops the weight, you're lucky to help stop it with your chest. And of course this wouldn't be horrible if the kids were paying - but in summer they're free so its like day care for people in body spray But wait there's more - There's the ego lifters slamming weights around and carrying their gallon jugs. All of the things PF says they don't want. One guy roams around in circles between sets for a few minutes drumming his abdomen and then lifts 3 repetitions slamming it down at the end. And in case you were really considering definitely don't join with the new year, new me crowd - Come January and running until around the end of February, PF is almost inaccessible, because they allow so many people to join, until they surrender as people always do - but at the expense of longer term members who now can't work out. Of course I can't fault PF for all of this - They hire kids who really aren't paying attention to what's happening, so when the ego lifters slam their weights around, and when the kids work out without shirts (yes, saw this too) they don't pay attention unless you call them out on it. Otherwise, its a great deal if you don't mind working out in a circus. Instead I just joined Rockwell - where the equipment is a little older, but lifts the same, and there's been no crowd since making the jump. Yeah its more expensive, but that extra 15 -25 bucks covers my sanity and keeps weights from being dropped on me. By Planet Felicia.

They know how to do it right, and the team at Repke build personal relationships and foster a positive, connected, and effective personal training family that I look forward to participating in each training day. Before Repke, I was unable to find a fit after trying many trainers and was convinced I just needed to be a "do it myself" guy. Every trainer was too pushy, too cocky, or too unsafe. Repke is different and better. In addition to fostering a connected and energetic community, Louben requires that his team of trainers develop deep physichal therapy medical knowledge, and know how to do advanced muscle balance and be deeply attuned to form and all muscle groups. They build individualized relationships and customized plans for each person, and adjust those plans to your growth and changes over time and day-to-day needs. If you are actively doing something wrong, they step in with care and coach, correting, teaching, and guiding. They meet you where you are at, targeting exercises that hit your needs at your level of fitness, but not pushing you into what you can't yet handle, unlike others. Before Repke when I lacked guidance, I overtrained my upper-body "push" muscles as so many guys do, and between that and bad desk work posture, I developed very tight upper chest and upper cross syndrome. I couldn't reach and touch much of my back, and needed physichal therapy for immobility. With the Repke team, I've developed a personalized plan to undo that tightness and balance push and pull. I can discuss with them feedback from my physical therapist (who they knew because two of them had worked with her in physichal therapy before!!), and they immediately know what small muscle groups to train in addition to large ones and the best and medically most effective *and* safe exercises to use, and how to truly *teach* and *coach* the form to make those exercises work. This has magnified the effectiveness of my ongoing physichal therapy and I feel like I have a comprehensive, personalized, fully invested team. As a former teacher and coach, game recognizes game. I know of nowhere else I could work with a trained Muay Thai coach and fighter who is also a skilled, physichal therapy medical professional (Darius, you are the best!). I intend to be a member of the Repke community for my lifetime, and I highly recommend you join, too. Repke Fitness is for anyone looking for caring trainers who know what they're doing, and who want to make sure they are doing it *right* and are looking to join a community working to live healthy together.

I train twice a week, and my program is fully customized to my goals of maintaining and building strength. One thing that really sets them apart is the team's background in physical therapy environments. They understand my PT needs, adjust my workouts accordingly, and integrate feedback im receiving from my physical therapist into my workouts so I can build on the progress I make there. It's reassuring to work with trainers who understand both strength goals and rehab needs. Highly recommend Repke for anyone looking for knowledgeable, personalized training!

Overweight, failed business, failed marriage. I had to do something! I was working in the DC area and living in GA so I decided that I needed professional help in both places. My dear friend and trainer in GA gave me a contact in VA that he thought I would like and had a similar training style. This ushered in my first experience with Rob Kreider with RK Bodies. I IMMEDIATELY knew he was the right choice for me. 1) Rob is very personable - Took time to listen to what I wanted to accomplish and gave his insight into how he could help. He made me laugh as well and made me feel very comfortable even though I was fairly new to the gym and almost 100 lbs overweight 2) Rob knows what he is doing - He took the time to put me through the paces our first 2 weeks together to assess my physical, mental and emotional state before coming up with a workout plan for me. He wanted to know how committed I was. From there he came up with a program for me and continues to adjust that based on my performance, any issues, etc. There is no cookie cutter program with him. 3) He cares - I have now been training with Rob for years. I have gained a love for weight lifting. Whenever I fall off the wagon in terms of eating properly per his plan or doing my cardio he is there to give me support, help me figure out what is going on, or just kick my butt. After hours emails or texts are always responded. I can't say enough about him. Someone you see 2 - 3 times a week that helps you with such a personal thing needs to be someone you trust and respect. He is my coach, my trainer, my sounding board and important for me... my friend. He has clients of every shape, size, sex, nationality. He meets the needs of all of those uniquely. But from my own personal experience I want to speak to ladies that are similar to me..... Ladies, if you are overweight 20, 30, 100 lbs it doesn't matter. This guy can help you. I wanted someone who was: 1) Good looking (because come on, who doesn't wanna stare at a hot trainer 3 hours a week! 2) Had a great personality that clicked with me. I need funny. I need sarcastic. I needed / need a friend 3) Had experience. Rob is a bodybuilder who knows his way around the gym and has worked with all types 4) Cared enough to treat me as a unique individual I need someone to push me so I will be with Rob as long as he will have me. I am still working toward my ultimate goal and know that when I am willing to put in the work he prescribes that I will get there.

As a father and legal guardian, I was denied meaningful participation in my son's summer camp experience. I'm a disabled veteran recovering from my second surgery this year, yet I remain actively involved, having volunteered over 120 hours at my son's school and coached his youth sports teams in limited capacities. In June 2025, I respectfully offered to volunteer, noting my Red Cross certification, active background checks (AACPS, Fort Meade CYS), and educational credentials. I received no response. Instead, I was quietly blocked from my son's records, my account was deleted without warning, and I was denied updates, even after repeatedly confirming my legal rights. Over six weeks, I made multiple good-faith efforts to resolve the issue. I sent documentation, explained my guardianship status, and asked for access to be restored. I was ignored. Only after some pro se legal escalation did YMCA legal counsel finally respond, but still, no resolution or response was offered. This wasn't just poor customer service. It reflected a systemic disregard for parental rights and transparency. For someone like me, a Black father to a mixed-race child and a veteran navigating medical recovery and legal barriers, it felt personal and a violation of my parental rights. As of today, September 3, 2025, my responses remain unanswered and my accounts and access to my son remain severed, despite formerly being a paying member. If you're a parent, especially one in a unique family situation, I urge you to advocate for your place in your child's life. Institutions should never get to decide how involved a loving, responsible parent is allowed to be. We all deserve better.
