Often I hear from the stronger, fit members "you can do it" or "good job" or other words of encouragement. The fellow bootcampers are friendly and welcoming. Jacob organizes "challenges" sometimes you are working with a partner to encourage each other and other times. They last for about one month. Lots of fun and heathy prizes. The morning class is at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. We work out there all year round, sometimes on their deck overlooking the bay or on the beach or on rainy days under their building. I am not in shape but attending GroupFit I am getting there! If I miss a couple of classes Jacob checks in with me to ask "where you are and when are coming back?" There are all levels at the bootcamp and there is no embarrassment or shame if you are using 5 pound weights and the person next to you is using 25 pound weights. One negative- we have to do burpees during the workout but I am learning to do them well and I am getting into shape!

With this bootcamp every workout is different and the variety keeps me coming back. Jake is an excellent instructor and knows how to both push you but also provide positive feedback. The classes consist of all ages and body types and the exercises are designed in such a way that everyone can do them but you can really push yourself as well. Everyone that I have met in the class has been very supportive and welcoming. I highly recommend this class if you looking for a fun way to get stronger and slimmer.

I did the 21 Day Challenge after Thanksgiving. There are 3 AM and PM classes for you to join…read more They're all HIIT classes, which has been a Fantastic work out. All levels are welcomed, everyone was nice and supportive. Meal plan is provided. I lost 3 pounds within the first week and it stayed the same, til i gained it all back the 4th week. Lol. That last week, i literally was at 3 different holiday parties with open bars, so that was my fault :) and i missed about 3/4 days of classes. A woman who started the challenge with me ended up losing 11 pounds. I can say that i didn't strictly stick to the meal plan, i often skipped dinner because i didn't like what was on the menu and didn't drink water as needed... so don't be like me lol. i can only speak for this location-- there are no showers and only 2 bathrooms for women and men. Also no changing rooms, altho you could change in the bathroom. The music was typically the same for each class. I would have preferred less of a rap mix and more 90s/2000 music, reggae, and/ or something to keep the classes moving and enjoyable to the ear. I would def. do another challenge in the near future!! Plenty of parking in front of the location. No water fountain per se (that you can bend over to drink), but bring a water bottle to be able to fill it up there. I think they also had $1 water bottles for sale in case you forgot to bring your own. You can weigh yourself at anytime with their scale. Be on facebook lookout, as they always have some kind of special / promotion for classes.

I saw an advertisement for this challenge on Instagram and was very excited to try it. I signed up…read morefor the consultation and was informed that the challenge is not free. They ask for a $497, yes you read that right, deposit. They let you know that the money is refundable at the end of the six weeks or you can have it roll over for costs if you'd like to become a member. This a ridiculous amount of money! Especially for a "free" challenge. The lady giving the consultation explained that when the challenge was really completely free, yes you also read that right, people would come for a week and never show up again. I totally understand the frustration there but don't those type of losses or circumstances come with the service you offer? Yes people are going to fall off but that means that I have to pay $497 for a "free" challenge? I would've considered it if the cost was considerably lower but I just feel that the amount is absolutely ridiculous. The false advertisement is real, I won't even get into that aspect of it. The facility looked nice and the employees were very friendly. If you can look past shelling out $497 this might be the place for you.

***I would actually give it 3.5 stars***…read more Background: I work out about 6x/week and I'm a runner. I completed the 7 day free trial period with my friend and that's the basis for this review. Pros: -Great for people who enjoy working out in groups -Efficient 45 min workout -You sign up for classes via their dedicated app, then it can be added to the calendar in your phone -The raised padded floor is great for those of us with knee problems, it makes for a soft landing - they have child care -you can complete workouts from home video chat -they have women's only classes -unisex bathrooms with baby changing tables -they offer one-on-one support with nutrition (not sure how often) Cons: -Not so great for people who need more instruction because the class moves quickly -About 5-7 mins of the 45 mins is dedicated to warm-up and instructions, which makes for a short workout for some - The app doesn't tell you what the focus of the workout is going to be, so if you work out on your own you risk working on the same muscle group you already focused on by yourself -only class based workouts, no cardio machines, no time to stretch or do anything on your own -not open on Sundays -No locker room/showers Overall: This would make for a great secondary gym for someone who can't focus/doesn't have the motivation to complete HIIT workouts on their own (seeing as how there are plenty of free options online). It's a no frills, no thrills type of gym, get in, do your workout, and leave. They don't even have towels you can use. It's all about community here, so if that's what you're looking for, then this would be good for you. You must wear a face mask everywhere except while on the padded floor.

I initially got hooked as I was unfocused at the gym. The daily variety with the protocol sets up a whole week of great workouts. Complimentary child-watch for those with kiddos - allowing you can have 45 mins of time for you for your workout! Always tons of high fives and encouragement from everyone during the workout and overall such a great vibe!

Community: 5 Instructors: 5…read moreWorkouts: 5 Communication: 4.5 My 6 week challenge ended this week and overall I really enjoyed the experience. FLMD popped up on my Instagram timeline as a free 6 week challenge - so bet I was there. There is a consultation, weigh in, and tour. I met with Nevie the gym owner who explained that the challenge is free after you invest in yourself for an undisclosed about. You meet the challenge and you get your money back. I didn't have anything to lose so I joined. I must admit that Nevie worked to figure out why I was not getting the weekly emails and meal plans. So if joined through any META platform (Instagram/Facebook) the emails will be sent to that registered email address. Things that were not transparent to me were: the class schedule not being readily available, the link to view the workouts online so I could join from home, who I should report my weekly weight. KEY TAKE AWAYS: I lost 7lbs my first week!! Drop in classes are $30

I wanted to give this a couple months before I posted a review…read more.. I found this gym after looking for something a bit more structured post-Covid. The regular peloton cardio and Planet Fitness just wasn't getting me where I wanna go. This place has been fantastic so far. As someone who has never really lifted weights, the trainers and owner has been fantastic at instructing the correct way to lift. They have two major programs as well as an open gym option. The programs are led by a trainer, one being team training, one being small group training. If you have not been working out lately, you will leave gassed. You will be sore. The workouts are about an hour long. I have been going about 3-4 days a week which has given me enough time to recover between workouts. Bring a towel and water bottle, my first workout was free. They do have shower facilities if you are coming from or going to work. And bonus... the showers are clean. The folks I have met here have been super friendly and welcoming. Ownership has also been very welcoming and motivating. If your looking for a new place to workout, definitely check these guys out... so far I am very happy I did...

I started in the Lean Down Challenge a 6 week program/20 lbs. I get to attend all the boot camps I want and have a small group personal training session once per week. I felt at ease as soon as I walked in the door. The boot camps are available daily. The trainers are extremely personable. I admit I love to hate them during my workouts but I feel so good a little bit after they end. Mac, Emily, and Bill are fantastic! I'm down 6 lbs, feel stronger and surprised myself by accomplishing some of the exercises I never thought I could do. I just started my 3rd week looking forward to meeting more goals I've set for myself. I've finally found a gym home. It's never too late to live your best life. I'm on my way!. Thanks guys!
