0 Stars. I had a terrible experience with 1000 Amores Mariachi, specifically dealing with Ricardo. I booked them a month in advance for my father's surprise birthday party and paid a deposit. One week before the event, I tried to confirm the details and song list with Ricardo, but he never answered my calls or texts. I continued trying to reach him all week, and he finally responded two days before the event, claiming he lost his phone--an excuse that seems to be a common pattern based on Yelp reviews. The entire situation led to unnecessary stress and panic, as we had to scramble to find another mariachi group on short notice. Ricardo promised to follow up with us on Friday morning, but we didn't hear from him until late Friday night. He assured us they would arrive 20 minutes early on the day of the event. On the day of the party, they arrived late minutes before my father was due to arrive, causing even more stress. Worse, the group that showed up wasn't 1000 Amores--it was a completely different mariachi. We felt deceived and catfished. Had we known, we would have canceled and gone with another group we liked. Overall, we were extremely disappointed with the unprofessionalism and lack of communication. The situation put a damper on what was supposed to be a special day. I'm extremely disappointed with the experience I had with Mariachi 1000:Amores. We booked this group well in advance for a special event, paid a deposit, and even confirmed with Ricardo just one day prior. Shockingly, on the day of the event, the Mariachi we hired did not show up. Instead, without any prior notice or communication, a different group of fewer musicians and noticeably lower quality came to our celebration. This bait-and-switch was unprofessional and distressing, especially as we had no choice but to let the substitute group perform due to the time constraints. We ended up paying for a performance we did not agree to and would not have booked if presented with the option. There was no explanation or apology offered. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. If you are considering hiring this group, I strongly urge you-to be cautious. What we experienced was incredibly disappointing and caused unnecessary stress during an otherwise important occasion. read more

They are not random people just trying to sing, they have good voices. We were expecting them to start at 8:30 and around 6 they sent me a text asking me if it was possible for them to come earlier, around 7. I told them no because the arrangement was from 8:30 to 10:30, but I told them to come at 8. When it was almost time, I went outside to wait for them and to my surprise, it was another mariachi group. Not the original mariachi I was expecting, but the worst part, no one let me know in advance of this change. No call, no text, and not even one apology for the inconvenience. I asked these other guys where Jonathan was and what about the other members. Their only response, he couldn't make it. That was not the arrangement, and I didn't know who this new group was. I ended up accepting the new group and they were ok, but not what we were expecting, and not what I was paying for. I sent Mr. Rodas a message, expecting an explanation, and nothing. Not even one word. I paid the balance, and the person in charge even had the audacity to ask for a tip. We gave him a tip and off they went. In my opinion, very unprofessional. Next time you want to hire this mariachi, MAKE SURE to ask several times, if they're the ones coming and to PLEASE don't send someone else, or at least let you know in advance if something comes up. Not hiring them ever again.

It's disappointing because I even texted before the date she mentioned and she could have reached back out saying she was able to book when she did. I think this mariachi looks very talented and it was perfect for an all women group to be part of this specula day but the lack of communication is not okay. This all female group has worked collaboratively with our Recoding Artist Erik Antonio ( GoVa Records) for various events in various venues. They are extremely professional. In addition, this ensemble has provided their talents for personal seranades, parties, and my own classroom celebrations.
