He is extremely thorough. He takes time to explain the results and you can see it all on two huge monitors in his office. Be warned: they double book so this is not a quick in and out deal. But if you go first thing (7:45 a.m.) you'll be out by 9:00/9:15 a.m. He is personable, very professional and I feel confident that he has thoroughly examined my eyes. Opthalmologists are medical professionals - their scope is much broader and they are medically qualified, as opposed to optometrists. This gentleman is reputable.

The urgent care doctor was extremely concerned and sent me to Dr. Raj Maini, with instructions to go directly to the hospital if it worsened. I would have had a more fruitful appointment had it been with my cat, rather than Maini. I was told to expect to be there for about 3 hours, as they were supposed to do more thorough testing and dilate my eyes, etc. I was hopeful this would give me some answers. I did end up waiting almost 3 hours - except it was in the waiting room, listening to all the girls at reception screaming and cackling about their boyfriends and ex-partners, having conversations at full volume that were far from appropriate. Once called into the room to see the "doctor", he came in and no exaggeration, was in the room for about 3 minutes. As far as the extensive testing to be done - he literally shined a light in my eye, said "It looks fine today", and no word of a lie, told me TO TRY SLEEPING ON THE OTHER SIDE OF MY FACE. He then shook my hand and left. I am genuinely flabbergasted at the lack of professionalism all around. Not only is she kind and patient, she is very thorough in her examination as well. They charge a reasonable rate for eye exams too $105 as of today. The store does a good job of cleaning and disinfecting during the current hard times and has a great selection of eye glasses. That said I haven't purchased anything from them yet as Dr Wan said I don't really need new eyewear. If I go back later that would be another review!
