I've been a client of Dr. Pal's for a number of years now. I was actually a client of the previous optometrist that occupied her office space before she and her team moved in. Through this process, I've been able to observe the transition between operators, their differences in management style and the changes they've made to pursue improvements.
At first, I was a little bit reluctant about staying with them, due to the visible changes to the appearance of the office. It was obvious that they were trying to do something new, go with a fresh look and create a new atmosphere. This can be troublesome for those who don't like changes and are used to what they are used to, but it can also be refreshing for those are open to and looking for a new experience.
In my correspondences with them, I`ve objectively noticed they are an extremely organized group of employees, they get back to you in a very timely manner, and they do so with respect for each person as an individual with their own needs.
A few weeks ago, I had made an emergency appointment with Dr. Pal over a serious issue I had with my eyes.
When I arrived, I was greeted by her receptionist. I was actually a few minutes late, and they gently let me know it wasn't too much of a big deal, as it was reasonably close to my appointment start time. One of her team leads and I got into an informal discussion about the operations of any business. I had given them some feedback not long before, and she told me that they were trying their hardest to create an experience for the customer. In my limited knowledge of the business world, I think that that is exactly what you need to do to grow a business, as anyone is grateful for what they have been given in business knows that without the client base, it goes under pretty quickly.
I was able to speak candidly with Shalu about what I was experiencing in the previous two weeks. She responded with care for me as a person, but also patiently explained to me, from an optometry point of view, what had and hadn't been going on my eyes (the issue pertained to my retinas). She was VERY sensitive towards my personal needs, my schedule and life. It was one of the best appointments I've ever had with any doctor of any kind.
As it wrapped up, I thanked her for booking me into an emergency slot on such short notice. She replied by saying "it's all them, I can't do this without them" (referring to her team). That kind of willingness to promote those who are under her supervision, and in the humble manner in which she said it, speaks volumes to me, and shows me everyone in that office actually cares about you as a person, not just a client.
I HIGHLY recommend you drop her place of work, and if you like what you see, give them a shot. You will NOT be disappointed. read more
