    Sub Special Menu

This was a find my mom I had when I visited Erie on my college search. They have very affordable prices and the food and service were excellent. I always see some construction workers eating at lunch time and that's always a good sign.

We are from Ohio here for the weekend and wanted to support an independent pizza place while in Erie. We liked Maria's and glad we chose them. Thin crust, very cheesy. I'm weird and love pineapple and banana pepper pizza, my daughter chose bacon and pepperoni, both delicious. The garlic bread was crispy. We made a great choice. Did pick up, the you g men behind we friendly and the service was fast.

Great food, great price. Our new go to place for subs. Close to our home. Would recommend this place to others.

After not being able to finish a slice of pizza I offered it to my dog. He wouldn't eat either. The tuna sub was sloppy and awful.

Pizza, subs & salads are very good. Their nightmare sub with sausage & meatballs is the absolute best!

Bland, papery pizza. It'll do in a pinch. Slightly better than a Sheetz pizza; oh so slightly.

Fast service. Good gluten free pizza. Got a regular pizza too. The kids and husband enjoyed it.

Frozen thick pizza crust, low quality cheese, and overall poor quality pizza. Definitely won't be back.

This place is great. $5 buys you chips, sandwich, and a can of soda. Its pretty scrumptious too, at least the Italian combo.

We didn't like anything. Everything was flavorless, and over priced. We had the firebird's duranjo burger. Nice size, but over cooked and not seasoned. The parmesean crusted chicken, although a nice size and cooked perfectly again no seasoning, expected to be able taste the Parmesan crust, nothing.. We both upgraded our side to the southwest au gratin potatoes. Au gratin potatoes a creamy jalepeno cream sauce sounds like a flavor bomb, NOPE, the potatoes were under cooked and not sure how you manage not to get flavor out of jalepeno cream sauce, but they did! The crispy cauliflower with the jar sweet chili sauce was probably the best thing we did have. You can get brunch all day so, I ordered the hipster toast, and I was pictured cat fished. Mine was nothing like the picture, although I appreciate they didn't build the toast for take out and allowed me to do that myself. Still, there was maybe 7 little little cubes of avocado, no pickled onions, no spiced pecans, no parmesan cheese. What I did get was a piece of toast with goat cheese, then a box of arugula, 7 pieces of small small avocado, candied bacon pieces, radishes and heirloom tomatoes. Basically a 17 plus salad on bread. Totally a waste and not worth it. I will say though, the cilantro lime vinaigrette was delicious. But spending over 90 bucks and only enjoying a vingerette and cauliflower, won't have be coming back. Maybe ordering on Superbowl Sunday was a mistake, but I'll never know.

He caught my attention with the Thursday special of chicken and biscuits, so we checked it out. There's a small dining area - maybe 15 tables? - and a bar, so it's a bit snug and every table was filled when I went in to get a menu, thinking we'd do take-out, but there was no wait when we decided to do dine-in. We had to wait a short time for the server to get to us, but she was great - good recommendations for narrowing down our choices and just the right amount of attentive after we ordered. I started with the crab cake appetizer, which came with a zesty sauce. I enjoyed them, although I'm used to flattened crab cakes and these were more ball- shaped. I had the chicken and biscuits, which was very tasty - nice chunks of white meat in gravy, over real mashed potatoes and generous biscuits. The cole slaw was just right - crunchy and a little sweet, not overpowered by mayonnaise. Partner had the shepherd's pie, which, as our server cautioned, was heavily seasoned with thyme, but had great flavor and a nice mix of vegetables under the mashed potatoes. I wish we had had space for dessert! The menu is *really* inclusive, from prime rib to pasta to burgers to vegetarian options and a kid's section. There's something for everyone here!
