Passalinqua's Pizzeria GOOD: cheese and toppings are flavorful, fair prices if you avoid premium pies BAD: wet noodle crust and store logistics - line back ups, no paper receipts offered I wanted to like PP as most of the reviews were glowing. The toppings and cheese were flavorful (can't go wrong with a greasy meat meat combo). The price is reasonable on a per size and per topping basis. Unfortunately, a good stiff crust is nearly half of quality pizza. The middle-bottom portion sags immediately and you need two steady hands to catch the toppings. Aside from the crust, there is one register and operator, so on a busy take out night, one chatty customer phone call handcuffs the entire takeout operation. They need two registers to alleviate the take out pressure in case of a phone order (or write the phone order and allow someone else to process take out orders). Finally, I was forced to take a email or text receipt. Basic business operation should consist of offering a paper receipt. Older folks, buying for someone else, expensing meals all work better with paper receipts. I only hope their printer was broken. If your local, give them a try, but it's probably not worth a long drive East. read more

I have never had anything subpar at this place. Everything I've gotten has been absolutely delicious. I'm very picky when it comes to white pizzas. I even had a couple pieces left over and use the air fryer two days later to warm it up and it was like I had just ordered it. I've never had a bad experience with their service. The smells and flavor remind me of an Italian kitchen. My second favorite item is the chicken Parm and then the pasta meatballs. read more

Got a supreme pizza. Nice crust with a good char on the bottom but still a bit soft and flexible. The toppings were good. Sauce was decent but a bit on the bland side. maybe a little salt needed. They say it's homemade so that's a plus. Others have mentioned the cheese and I'd say I agree. The cheese gets a bit nasty once the pizza cools off a bit. Not sure what kind they use. I'll go back and give them another shot. They seem eager to do a good job so I'll try again and update the review. read more

Food is ok. I think slightly overrated honestly. Pizza was super greasy and cheese seemed really salty. Breadsticks were huge and delicious. Pasta was cooked well, sauce wasn't too bad. Meatballs reminded me of bigger versions of store bought freezer meatballs. Staff was polite when I asked for a change to a dish when ordering. I love food. I have a few ultimate favorite foods like Max and Erma's tortilla soup, my mom's noodles and stuffing, Keytone Pub's buffalo chicken salad, Chic-Fil-A chicken nugs, and some more. The best pizza I have ever had is at the Marina Pizzeria in Atlantis Bahamas. Today.changed.everything. Not only is it the best pizza I've ever had, it's the best food I've ever had. I've never tasted anything better in my entire life. We love the pizza - tried an Italian sub for a change. We like pizza sauce on a sub which is a New England thing. The bread was stellar. A dark crispy crust and just enough bread to compliment the high quality meat and provolone. The lettuce and tomatoes were fresh. We also tried meatballs in sauce. It's an A+ Plenty of seasoning and parm, maybe Romano cheese. I believe the marinara is long cooked as it is more of a Sunday gravy, reminiscent of Serafinis, but better. Pizza was super middle of the road. I thought the crust was actually pretty delicious, but couldn't get past just how greasy it all was. They also use a different cheese blend than what you may be expecting, so I was really off put by it. Shame to say, but it's just premium Dominos. After not even finishing half the pizza, I became quite nauseous and you know the rest. Erie just isn't a great place to get pizza. read more

Tried this place for the first time yesterday. Let me just say it starts with their people. They genuinely seemed happy to have us. The food is outstanding. But be warned, if you prefer the average "cookie-cutter" pie, this place is not for you. Authentic pizza has a little char to it, you want that crisp crunch. We seat in their new dining room and is exactly how it should be. TV's, cloth table settings, just a nice fresh look. First of all, the bread was delicious. As fresh as fresh bread can be. Secondly, the staff was so friendly. And finally, the food, the food, the food. Delicious!!! Really good Italian food. The red sauce is the best. The portions are gigantic. You will not be disappointed by going here to eat. Dining room is a bit small, but some would call it intimate.
