I had to come back a second time because a man told me that the tailor was not in that day. The woman that does alternations is very sweet. She said that my dress would look better tailored on the sides as well, and I trusted her opinion. I got my dress back the day before my event. She had me try it on and added finishing touches but I was still worried that the work did not come out to be what I expected. I tried on the dress when I got home and the straps popped off, and hole appeared on the sides. I realized that she tailored the sides too tight that now the silk was no longer laying flat. I went back the next morning, the same man was working. I showed him the issues and he said that he was going to fix it himself in 10 minutes. This would be impossible because all of the stitching had to be undone, and i already knew that he did not do alternations so he would've ruined my dress further. I told him that I wanted a refund, and I did not need my dress to be fixed. He got VERY aggressive and was trying to rip the dress out of my hands. I had brought the dress in with my own personal velvet hanger that he took when I first showed him the dress. Before I left, I asked for it back because he had carried it to the back of the room. He kept yelling at me said he didn't have it, and then ending up bringing the hanger back and he THREW IT AT ME. I ended up going to their location in Parsippany where I was refunded by the woman who did work on my dress, and waited for her to take the stitching out, and fix the straps that came undone. The straps were done with different colored stitching. Needless to say, the man working there is extremely rude, unprofessional, and has 0 manners. I brought the shirts back and they agreed to redo them, but when I picked them up again, the stains were still there. I spoke with the owner this time, and unfortunately, she became somewhat defensive and implied that the stains may have already been there. What makes that difficult to believe is that both shirts had very similar stains, which would seem to suggest they came from the same source. Nevertheless, she agreed to redo them once more. To my surprise, when I returned for the third time, the same stains were still there. The employee working that day told me the owner would call me. I never received a call--no apology, no explanation, and no attempt to take accountability or resolve the issue. I've also had a few instances in the past when items were not ready when promised and was met with less-than-welcoming customer service. Overall, I'm extremely disappointed with how this was handled. Mistakes can happen, but the lack of communication, accountability, and effort to make things right is what I find unacceptable and unprofessional. They also own Perfectly Pressed Cleaners, so I would recommend checking the reviews for both locations when deciding where to take your clothing.
