We were visiting on a…read morebusiness trip with my family and spent a delightful hour learning about the history of Sayre, a one time train centered town that has more recently transformed into a medical hub for the area. Inside the restored train station you'll find Peggy, an out going, kind hearted, kid loving, historian. We spent an hour with her and her colleague chatting about the trains and Robert Packer Memorial Hospital. She effortlessly kept our 1 year old daughter's attention the entire time! I keep thinking one of these days Anthony Bourdain will do a show on rural Pennsylvania and end up at the Milky Way. They produce completely organic milk products including cheese and hamburgers. Having grown up on a dairy farm I have a huge soft spot for the Milky Way. The love affair is also helped by the fact they have the best milkshakes in the world. Every time I'm home I get to drink their milk because my parents still drive out of their way to get their milk here. Their little restaurant has a simple menu that includes sandwiches and burgers. The burgers are awesome. I'm pretty sure they burgers are from their own cows, but cannot confirm this. Either way they are fresh and you can watch the cook prepare them across the counter from you. So if you find yourself in "upstate PA" make a point to set your GPS to send you Milky Way Farms to have a burger and root beer milk shake.

We chose to stay inside the tasting room because it was hot outside, but the outside area is very spacious and there is plenty of room to move about and enjoy the time there. We ended up bringing six bottles home, and I can't decide which I like more-the cute labels or delicious wine itself. Grovedale offers indoor seating, outdoor seating with fire pits and an area under roof that's probably closed in during winter months. If you're looking for a winery in Wyalusing, then Grovedale is the best (only) choice.

When we visited they were playing 'The Sound Of Music' in addition to new releases! Love that!!! My mother in law who lives in the area said they have vowed to keep the prices low and the old school vibe going. I certainly appreciate both! $24 for a family of four is literally half what we pay back home in the city. Awesome! Concessions were also fairly reasonably priced and both the drinks and popcorn were refillable! Our crew loved playing with the different shaker toppings. Nacho was a fan favorite! The marquee sign out front, the old time black & white film stills and the local art for sale that decorate the walls, plus the way everything was all done up for the holidays added to absolute charm and allure of the place! It had me feeling all the feels! Loved the toy trains and upside down Christmas tree! So fun! The theaters are smaller and there's really not a bad seat. Even the front rows weren't too close to the screen. The seats were comfortable and rocked quite a bit! Apparently they also host local workshops and family friendly activities on a regular basis here so definitely check their site for upcoming events! We will absolutely be hitting up this theater in the future and will perhaps make it a new Black Friday tradition. I was shocked to see so few people in there when we visited that day for 'Coco' which by the way is adorable and gorg. It's usually packed at the big names theaters on Black Friday. Shhh! Don't tell everyone about it here!
