The venue provided the round tables, chairs and long tables for the food. Our party space consisted of two good sized rooms: the Parlor - which was the space where we had all the guests comfortably seated at the round tables for dinner; and the Sun Room - which held an array of generous appetizers, food and beverages buffet displayed on the long tables alongside the windows. This was easily staged to make a perfect buffet line which flowed smoothly. The Sun Room was bright and airy and I loved the tiled terracotta floor. I let my guests know that if they arrived earlier, they would have an opportunity to take part in the tour of the well preserved historical plantation estate.

That's right, this pile of well-mortared bricks has been around longer than your country's independence. So why isn't it open more? In all the years I lived in Bowie, I got to visit once. ONCE. It wasn't even on a field trip, as they certainly DON'T invite local school children to visit. Visits are by appointment only. City of Bowie, I know you mean well, but if you want more people to like you, maybe you should show them something worth being proud of, like a freaking gorgeous 250+ year old historical landmark! It's so easy to forget it's even there with the way you keep it locked away from public viewing. You've got so much more going for you than an I-got-shot-in-broad-daylight shopping mall. And I know you pretend it doesn't happen, but I have totally climbed your Tulip Poplar trees lining Tulip Grove Drive a million times. As a Bowieite, I felt it was my right, if not duty, to see to it that at least some part of Bowie's actually interesting history got use.

We arrived at 9:30 and had to walked around outside and observe the outside exhibits until they opened at 10:00AM. Once inside, we sat for a presentation by a very engaging employee. NASA sent the teachers a video to watched prior to our visit, so the students had some interesting questions for our host. After that, that had about an hour to explore the exhibits. Many were hands-on. Our students loved it, and had a blast. It was nice that we had the whole museum to ourselves. The cost for admission is free for everyone, not just for field trips. They are closed Sundays and Mondays. I plan to come again on my own. The first Saturday of each month they do a rocket launching. Kids can bring their own, or buy one from the gift shop which I would have liked to visit. Next ti

That said, I had a really enjoyable time at GSFC as a visitor. Highlights of my visit included the dinosaur print (who would've thought -- esp. since it was dug up relatively recently, within the past couple decades!), the Nobel Prize from John Mather, the Hubble Space Telescope gallery (which featured many replicas or spare parts from the actual space telescope) and control center (where scientists send commands to the space telescope to make it take various pictures), and my personal favorite, the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope that is in assembly phase in the clean room. You can see it behind the glass without entering the clean room. Of course I stocked up on GSFC-specific merch from the gift shops. Really cool place to check out!

This is about K Hovnanian Four Seasons Kent Island Maryland. First, kudos to them for building the…read moreclubhouse and recreation amenities on the best part of this property. They could have easily put this in the center of the community, and put expensive condo units there. That makes this HUGE community of 1300 units very attractive, despite how densely packed it is. However, we ultimately did not buy here. Two major reasons. First is lot premiums. All the lots have premiums, even the ones backing to roads or to each other with nothing special about them. The prime lots, backing to trees are $150K AND UP. Not only is this 3x the lot premiums for any other comparable lots in any other 55+ community within 200 miles of this community, but just ABSURD for 50' x 120'. With house prices starting at over $600k BEFORE ANY UPGRADES (and you WILL want some) the lot prices make the houses simply ridiculously expensive for a RETIREMENT community. Next is the contract. You agree not to sue, even a class action suit (which might be warranted given other comments I've seen on other reviews and Better Business Bureau sites) They reserve the right to change ANYTHING, AT ANY TIME. You may THINK you are getting certain appliances, cabinetry, flooring, etc. but they can change that and not even tell you! You want windows on the sunny side or facing away from your nearest neighbor? They can REVERSE the house plan without telling you and without your permission. You want to come by and see the progress or do a little inspection? They call that TRESPASSING and it immediately voids the contract! Yes, you can hire an independent inspector pre-drywall and pre-closing, but they are under no obligation to address ANYTHING your inspector finds. There is a pre-closing walk down, just like any other builder, but you HAVE to close whether or not they have resolved the items. The heat doesn't work? Too bad, you have to close. No refrigerator? Too bad, you have to close. Toilet doesn't flush? Too bad, you have to close. WHEN do they HAVE to fix things on the punch list? Whenever they freaking feel like it. Finally, they can cancel your contract at ANY TIME for ANY REASON by refunding your money +$500. So if you ask too many questions or look into things too closely, Bye Bye. I could go on and on about more problematic business practices, but I think you get the idea.... Such a shame for a community that has such potential, but why would ANYONE want to sign a contract with a company like this? We sure didn't...

The quality and detail involved in the instruction here is superb - you feel like you're being given all of the information you need, from the basics to more complex properties of the helicopters. There was no point where I felt like the information was overwhelming or over-simplified: it seemed like the right mix of education and beginner's instruction. As for the flight, it's a blast! While I was far from talented at piloting the helicopter, I was given quite a lot of control over time, and I felt increasingly comfortable as time went on. I felt safe and monitored the entire time - even when a lot of wind blew the helicopter around, the instructor was available to make things right quickly and effortlessly. Needless to say, if you have the time and the money, give this place a shot!
