Process was easy enough and they let my wife come in with me since she was reluctant about how could marijuana affect my asthma and concentration. The place was too hot and it kind of made me anxious since the mask and the heat was overkill on my asthma. But put up with it and all is well. My wife did most of the questions and the physician was very patient with us and informative. Had to cough up almost 200 bucks for the evaluation, but I believe it is a fixed price per clinic. Then had to pay almost 80 to the Florida Health Department. Recently got my medicinal marijuana card in my e-mail and was able to follow the physician's recommendations and purchase what he thought would work best for me. I'm yet to receive my card in the mail, but I can use the email without issues. read more

I was told a refund would be issued for the difference, but it would take 24 hours. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I called to follow up about this additional charge, the rep on the phone told me she had no notes about my account being escalated for a refund-- and she'd escalate it right then, but it would take 7-10 business days.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I've effectively paid $200 for something that should've cost me $29/month and driven almost 3 hours for the staff to be unhelpful and unreliable. I came in on Nov 30th and paid $169 to renew my prescription. Not only did I have to fill out a questionnaire that forced me to relive my worst traumas, but now on Dec 17th when I went to make a purchase I was told that my prescription is EXPIRED?!?! That's absolutely ridiculous!!!! Accompanied my husband for his "new patient evaluation." I was kind of reluctant of the process and had a couple of questions about how could marijuana possibly affect his asthma and hunger. He had an appointment for 10am. We got there and there was some required paperwork for him to fill out (we knew this before hand since he had received several informational emails after scheduling his appointment). Appointment was at 10, but the paperwork is so long, we were not actually seen until 10:45am (approximately). Receptionist was friendly and informative and the ambiance was chill and welcoming. However, it seems like their AC is having problems and the waiting room was so hot that we were drenched in sweat. That is probably my only complaint. Filling out paperwork with a mask and feeling like you are in a sauna is no joke. However, we put up with it and after filling out the paperwork, we were asked to confirm his information on the computer. Requiring my husband to enter his SNN. It was an easy enough process and staff gave great guidance. There was hand sanitizer everywhere and everybody wore their masks. On your first appointment, you are expected to pay $197.00 to the clinic unless you were referred by another patient, which is that case you get about $20 dollars off. I made some research on the prices for a new patient evaluation and the prices seem fixed. Also all clinics seem to have the same policy of a full refund if your card is not approved (which you will learn whether you are approved or not during your appointment ) After the 45min wait, we were finally seen. The doctor's office was cooler than the waiting room, so that was better. The doctor was friendly, informative and eager to answer all of our questions. He analyzed my husbands's conditions, checked out his medications and made several recommendations; he was very informative and patient will all of my questions. We even asked him questions about CBD treatment for our anxious pets. After seeing the doctor, you are immediately taken to another room to complete the registration and applications process through the Florida Department of Health. It is very easy and the staff helps you through it. For registering, you are expected to pay about $77.00 to the Florida Department of Health. You pay online and this is not to the clinic. Afterwords, you are given an informative packet of strains/cannabinoids and dispensaries around the area. They even gave us info on the best discounts for new patients on dispensaries around Orlando. After your appointment, you are welcomed to purchase CBD products, but you have to wait about 2-3 weeks to receive you medicinal marijuana card before you purchase actual marijuana (smokable and edibles). Nevertheless , we were told that though it can take a couple of weeks to receive your physical card in the mail, people receive an email within 5-10 days, with a temporary card, that you can use to go to a any dispensary and pick out your medicine. All in all it was a great and informative experience... it was just extremely hot and that made the process a bit uncomfortable. read more

The process is as easy as you think, and the staff here know what they're doing. The place does get packed pretty quickly, so making an appointment is necessary. Giving it only a 4 stars because we came on time for our 2pm appointments, but the door was locked. We weren't seen by the doctor until 2:55pm. They have a doctor in the building who can write prescriptions for the medical marijuana. I have been a medical marijuana patient for several years. Since moving 3 years ago, my previous mj doctor was a bit too far so I looked for one closer to home. The Orlando location fit the bill so I called and set up an "appointment". One could reasonably expect that if you show up on time, you'll be seen approximately around that time. Well, not if you're going to this office anyway. I waited for over an hour before I was finally seen. As you might expect I was not pleased and I made my feelings known to both the staff and the doctor. I got "the doctor is running a little behind." as a reason for the delay. By my headcount of the waiting room, the doctor was at least 8 patients behind schedule. So what's really going on? I asked the doctor. According to him, appointments are centrally scheduled at the corporate level. They TYPICALLY book 4-6 patients for any given time slot because, according to him, they have a 50% no show rate so the extra bookings ensure that every slot is filled (and then some!). At least that was an explanation I could understand. However, it did nothing for my irritation at the bait and switch of booking an appointment and finding out 3 or 4 others had been given the same slot. I asked how they decide who gets seen first for the same time slot. The answer: whoever shows up and completes the paperwork first. Had I known this, I might have chosen somewhere else. My check up appointments with the previous doctor generally took 15-20 minuntes tops, out the door. So if you plan to visit this establishment, make sure you've allowed at least 2 hours to complete the appointment. On a positive note: The staff was capable and friendly and the doctor was aslo very nice and attentive to my medical history. If it weren't for corporate greed overbooking appointments, it might have been a pleasant experience. I have 7 months to decide whether I'll return or find another doctor. If you operate on a tight schedule, you might want to consider going elsewhere. read more

I never get a straight answer, I've been charged multiple different amounts, I've had to have the dr called while on vacation because they did not put my dosages through correctly. Was able to schedule an appointment very quickly. They had a payment plan which is nice. Upon entering you will need to sign a lot of papers and provide medical history. The wait was about 35-40 minutes later than my scheduled time but it's worth the wait. Consultation was professional and thorough. The doctor extensively reviewed my medical history and asked a log of questions. Spent more time than my primary. It was appreciated. Process took about 1 hour. Disappointed you can not get flower right away. However there is s process for this which the doc can explain. Basically to get you back in the door for another copay. I love Yelp, but seriously... that's shady AF. Anyway. I had a good experience at this location. The office is spacious and clean. They give a discount for students AND for pre-paying, as well as military and several others. I was there 45-ish minutes early for paperwork and still was called back fifteen minutes later than my appointment time. That's the only negative I came across. This place just denied my girlfriend due to not having records of her being on a depressant on her (EVEN THOUGH THEY TOLD HER OVER THE PHONE THEY DO NOT NEED IT THERE). How could you tell someone not to bring something that's needed?? She even told them to call her doctor because this has been documented that she has depression/anxiety and they wouldn't. She brought paperwork of her herniated disks that she is still dealing with to this day from almost 2 years ago with extensive paperwork of her being in pain plus other medication she received due to this. Coming from Colorado and having been a Medical Marijuana patient since 2006, I am overjoyed that progress is being made on the Florida MMJ frontier! Unfortunately, when an industry this lucrative (and so far, poorly regulated) comes to town, you're have those who would happily take advantage of the patients to get straight to the Almighty Dollar. I was hoping this wouldn't happen here in Florida, yet such was the case when I visited the Marijuana Doctor office in Orlando, FL. They flagrantly use shady and deceptive practices, relying on the hopes their patients aren't educated enough to call them out. For example, they will tell you after you've paid the initial "new patient fee" of $200, you must come back in 30 days and pay them MORE money if you want to have access to actual marijuana. You know, the actual plant that grows in the ground, purely and naturally... WHAT?!!! Why are we coming here in the first place? I don't want lotions, creams and glycerin products! Are you getting high on your own supply? This scheme is an outright lie, and it is NOT accordant to Florida law, which is exactly what one of the girls at the location tried to tell me. Then the story changed and they told me 'this is the doctor's prerogative', but there is ZERO logical explanation for this other than to charge you more money. So which is it? When I brought this up during the final stages of my application, I was told by a random employee walking by that she didn't need this problem in their clinic and angrily offered a refund. To which I said, yes, abso-frikkin-lutely, and high-tailed it out of there. I'd like to say it ended there, but I have spent the last 3 days trying to get my money back and clear up confusion with state of Florida thanks to Marijuana Doctors sending in half-assed paperwork. Also, folks, this is NOT the least expensive place in town, and despite the message when you call, certainly not the friendliest either. I spoke to Phil, the manager of the Orlando location, and upon voicing my concern for the deception I witnessed, he stated he was fully aware of this deceitful practice. He acknowledged Florida law says one thing, and his business is telling people another...his response was, "yep, dully noted". When I advised him that his staff had deliberately deceived me, he made the exact same statement. At this point, I decided to move on with my day. I see no what's happening here, and I want no part of it. While it is a business, the Medical Marijuana field should be about caring for the community, and building bridges. I've seen it change a whole state. If my experience reflects the values of the entire organization, then it's safe to say the Marijuana Doctors have no standard of excellence, nor the pursuit of it. They usher you through a tiny storefront with untrained personnel to a Physician who's not qualified to treat my dogs. These guys have changed my appointment six times in the last six visits. They changed days they moved the time earlier without telling you. They just send you a text message 15 minutes before the time they want you to be their versus what you've scheduled. They've raised their prices and the doctors they have are not all capable of doing what you need. They only have one doctor, in Lake worth, that does our fees and you have to go see him in addition to your regular visit, if you've seen someone that's not okay for bowling any of their other offices. I was skeptical about getting my medical card mostly because I wasn't sure how it would affect my employment status but also because of the overall stigma towards medical cannabis. The only complaint I have with them is that every time an evaluation comes up, there are five pages front and back of forms to fill out. In the age of electronics, I can't understand why this can't be done online and then brought in to the location.
