AWFUL! AWFUL, UNCARING, INCONSIDERATE, COLD, abrupt, UNPROFESSIONAL, uninformative - MISLEADING, to say the least. One of the staff is human/ humane & tries to connect. Forget the others, the dude is a total jerk, rude, dismissive, disrespectful. Crucial information regarding the policy needed is not revealed or reviewed. The updated info called into staff that was crucial a few years later & was NEVER put into our file tho we were told it was "documented". NOT. They caused major issues! The broker, Ms. Rigg totally brushed off many pieces of information that mattered at the time of a claim a few years later. Uninterested is the polite way of saying how she, Marilyn, treats her clients. This is of MANY of us - varied personalities & ages - over time & shared experiences w/ that LOUSY office. Don't waste your time with this office. The staff is not trained well. You will never talk to the agent directly via phone or email, even when you ask to speak with her. They will insist on scheduling an appointment and it will be weeks away. They'll even call you a few more times to change it. Ive been incredibly satisfied with State Farm as a company, but this agent and her office staff has left me incredibly disappointed, frustrated, and sad for the community of Oakhurst because this is the only agent in the area. We'd been insured through State Farm for about 4 yrs with a different agent in Oregon. He was great and so was his office staff. They were (are) all knowledgeable and always helpful whenever I needed something. I never had one problem or issue with them. When we moved down here I immediately contacted the Oakhurst office expecting to have the same kind of effortless transition and customer service that we'd had in Oregon... Unfortunately, that was NOT the case. I walked into the physical office a few weeks after we moved here and introduced myself to Nicolas, gave him my information, copies of my drivers license and current state farm insurance cards for our vehicles. At that time he said it would just be a process of getting the information from my old agent and the miles off my vehicles. It would take me a lot of space to write out the ensuing incompetence that followed from this office but suffice it to say after three months I was still not covered by their office... all my stuff was still being paid and handled by the office in Oregon. The wonderful people up there even attempted to call and educate the staff here in Oakhurst about how to process an out of state transfer. The Oakhurst office seemed to think the only way to do it was to cancel my old policies in Oregon and start new ones here. Never let an insurance agent do that. It wipes away your history with the company which sets you back. I eventually got so upset about all of it that I called around in Fresno and found a fantastic gentleman (Jeff Singleton) who was accessible by his personal cellphone and email at all times. After I explained to him what Id been through so far He immediately contacted Marilyn. With his help I was able to get everything transferred to his office and now I have everything worked out and active down here in California. It's disappointing to have to write this review but I feel like it's really important because she is the only State Farm agent in Oakhurst/Coarsegold area which doesn't give people up here options unless they find one in Fresno. I hope she changes her way of doing business, which is super impersonal, and gets her staff some proper training. Until then people need to steer clear of this place. read more

After contacting Charles at Rigg State Farm for a Ca Fair Plan I read these reviews and frankly can not agree with them. First pay on line or by mail if you do not like cats and then as to not working with others via phone my entire transaction happened on the phone including them calling me back within the hour the first time contacted. At no time did they stall or not make themselves available when I called to check on the fair plans progress and they constantly checked and double checked to find out what was going on with the wait for the ok for the plan. Charles was very up front with all the information needed and revised the application as I found out new information regarding the house. When I had questions he could not answer he referred me to someone who had the answers! I am very pleased with this group of people. Kathy G read more

This review has to do with 3 cats in the office that are allowed to roam free. there is a stench of cat urine when you enter the door, and lots of cat fur flying about . In short? the place is filthy! I have to literally hold my breath when I come in to pay my insurance premium. read more
