After dealing with severe knee pain for a few months I made an appointment to see Dr. Scharf and her team. I was given a clear treatment plan and my own list of items to address (diet, exercise) and have been going to appointments there for the past several weeks. My knee and back pain continue to get progressively better. I wasn't not looking for a pill or surgery to fix me immediately but guidance and therapies that were non-invasive and not pharmacological. I've opened a Board of Chiropractic Examiners case against this group for which I've received a confirmation back they opened a case. I have been promised a refund at least three times by the a front desk staffer who finally said that the refund would not be sent based untrue claims on behalf of the business owner which I have all documentation to prove. I disputed the financing arrangement and was awarded the dispute reversing all payments made to date and will be going to Marin Small Claims for the down payment paid on a debit card. Scheduled appointments to discuss further care have not been kept, multiple emails have gone answered, and a certified letter was refused. A refund for unused services and medications were promised to be refunded at least three times by the same person and through a different staffer when the person who promised originally failed to meet and discuss the promised refund. read more

I had a very bad experience with the treatment at Marin Regenerative Health in Novato, CA. I had purchased a treatment for peptides to help address my sleep issues. The instructions given were not clear on how to self administer these injections; It took me several attempts to find out exactly how they should be safely done. The peptides did not work as well. Initially it seemed to work, but over time, there was no change with my sleep issues. I reached out several times to Dr. Sharpe through her staff to address this situation and got no responses. Her organization appears to be thoroughly disorganized and unresponsive. The staff had told me that they had conveyed my messages to Dr. Sharpe and I did believe them as I witnessed one of them going into her office to give her the message, but I heard nothing back after that. Dr. Scharf is not a healer, she's a snake oil salesman in scrubs, preying on the sick, the desperate, and the hopeful with polished marketing and empty promises. The moment you walk in, they butter you up with charm and pseudoscience, then shove a massively overpriced, binding contract in front of you before you've had time to process what's happening. The treatments? Wildly experimental, mostly unproven, and wrapped in a sales pitch that would make a used car dealer blush. DO NOT sign anything. DO NOT give them a dime. I am not one to write negative reviews or talk about health issues online, but what happened here was so egregious that it needs to be said. I originally went in for knee pain but was talked into hormone replacement too in order to help heal faster, in total I spent over $11,000 for treatment. I really did like the treatment team for the knee service so I recommended them to my boyfriend as well. However, when I got the hormone replacement (Biote), the first round went well; however, for the second appointment. First, they rescheduled me for two weeks later, and then when I arrived for my appointment, they were so overbooked that I had to wait 3 hours. I was scheduled for 4 pm, and I got it at 7 pm. They promised me free blood work for the next appointment, but then, when I finally got in with the nurse, she said I didn't need it. Within a couple of weeks of the pellets, I was having night sweats (which I never had before) so badly that I had to change my clothes in the middle of the night and wash my sheets every day. It was horrible. I called back to talk to them about what to do and was informed that the nurse had already quit (the second one in a 3-week period) and that she was refusing to talk to them ever again. I ended up going to another doctor in town and paid $450 for the appointment and then another $400 for the treatment. My boyfriend, who I had previously convinced to sign up with them, saw what happened and how I was treated and wanted nothing to do with them. We asked for his money back (this was in July), and they said they didn't have any record of him paying. So he went down there, and they finally found his record under a different name. Still no refund. Called and emailed several more times. We were told in Oct/Nov the refund would go on the card. Waiting a couple of months, no refund. Called again and was told the bookkeeper was out, but they'd look into it--still nothing. Then, the doctor herself called and tried to talk him into continuing with the treatment instead of getting a refund. He declined. Finally, a refund but with a fee of $1695 was Removed because they claimed they had purchased biologics, which they use every day, so they didn't purchase it just for him, and since they had no appointments scheduled, why would they purchase it? He had put a down payment down for future scheduling. He made it clear in July that he would not be able to start treatment until November, so buying biologics in July doesn't sound legit. Anyway, I don't usually write these, especially negative reviews, but this was so bad that I needed to warn others. read more

Having MRH treat my knee arthritis was the best gift I ever gave to myself!! My doctor told me to take Tylenol and Ibuprofen for the next several years until my arthritis was bad enough for a knee replacement. I was in constant pain and taking way too many pills that harm your kidneys and liver. I now have virtually zero pain!! I am an active hiker and joined a pilates gym. I can do it all painlessly! No stars- high pressure sales tactics, extreme high mark-ups on their products. We left the office without our contract which was emailed to me the following day. After reading the contract I immediately canceled the treatment offered and still had to pay $3600. During my session with Dr. Scharf she informed me at least 3 times that the LED apparatus will cost me $1800 if I decide to cancel. My husband was there to witness this price. However, when I was presented the cancellation statement, I was charged over $3000 for the LED and a $900 cancellation fee (she reduced this to $450) even though I canceled within 24 hours and never received any treatments. As a senior citizen, I was extremely disappointed with this encounter. read more

Beware their online paperwork - if you sign it, you are signing a Consent for Care that authorizes them "to perform examinations and procedures as may be professionally deemed necessary or advisable for me as as a patient" - BEFORE they have seen you and before you get a quote for a massively expensive series of care (the quote for me was well over $6K for a knee and add ons like a near infrared and IR device are priced exorbitantly - $1600 vs. a few hundred or less for an FDA-approved similar device available widely on the web). I fortunately did not sign and did the paperwork in the office, without a signature on that page. I did want to try an alternative way to deal with knee pain, but couldn't get over feeling uncomfortable with their business practices and Yelp reviews show a few have felt pressured into a decision they later regretted, costing them thousands in cancellation fees. read more

For those of you who want to remain proactive regarding your health, regenerative medicine is at the leading edge of healing medicine. I myself had a serious muscle injury - my wife had to help me walk to the bathroom at night and I was pretty much immobile. Several doctors said it would take some major surgery and that my recovery could take up to 9 months. My wife's never-ending health research discovered this small clinic called Marin Regenerative Heath, right here in the center of Novato, CA. We went to an open house and discovered this little mecca of health - Marin Regenerative Health. After some back and leg chiro adjustments, I had my severely torn Hamstring muscle in my left leg start PRT, Plasma Replacement Therapy. I had 2 vials of my blood removed and had the stem cells separated from the plasma. The torn sections of the Hamstring were cleaned of the damaged tissue with advanced sound wave technology and the stem cells were then injected back into the damaged areas of the Hamstring. No pain involved. It took only 3 months and my leg had no pain and felt normal except except for my strength which was explained would return after I could resume more normal activity and exercise. Went for a consult with my husband who has chronic back pain. Charge was supposedly $49 but they quickly steered us into an $11,500 treatment plan and insurance covers none of it. (Red flag) The treatments were a majority of chiropractic adjustments so don't know how it was so expensive. Seems like a little bit of a hustle . They had us signing papers before we actually agreed to treatment. Luckily we didn't sign the $11,500 loan papers. Feel liked we dodged an expensive bullet. Actually changed course to a good and honest chiropractor that insurance does cover for $70 a treatment. Not saying she isn't a good chiropractor but this is a money scam. read more

They were flexible and accommodating for my intake evaluation, took the time to really understand the issues with my back and neck, and created a clear plan of action to support my recovery. I feel like this office found a niche in Neuropathy and jumped in using various scare tactics about how you would most likely end up in a wheel chair or amputation of feet/legs. They quickly collected a consultation fee before the actual consultation. They lure you with a "free lunch" seminar which started late. The lunch consisted of small side salads in plastic container. It was a silly attempt at a luncheon seminar and salads were served well after 1pm as they were late. When I went back after being diagnosed with severe Neuropathy, Dr. Scharf presented a proposed cost if around $11,000 but discounted to $8,000 if you make a lump sum. We were kind of informed that insurance would cover many of the charges and I quickly said that I wouldn't be going forward and the Chiropracter said they wouldn't even be able to see me for several months...if they are so busy why are they putting on seminars to attract new patients? read more
