Before our session, Jasmine asked me if I would like medium or firm pressure and if there were any spots I'd like to focus on. I asked for medium because I was pretty tender and my upper and lower back needed some attention. There wasn't a single time I needed her to use more or less pressure it was like she knew exactly what my body needed and even found areas I didn't know needed more attention and addressed them. There was a moment the traditional peaceful music you expect at spas ended up turning off and instead of feeling the need to impulsively step away to go fix it, she was focused on my shoulders and it was clear she was very attentive to my care. As someone who was having a significant pain flare from a chronic pain disorder, as well as being bed bound from surgery and just returning back to work causing my entire body to be in severe pain, I am shocked at how I never had to grit my teeth and how calm my body felt after. I'm writing this having just coming home and the warm, peaceful feeling from my nerves is something I never experience having a medical condition that fires them off. For about a year, people around town were talking about this massage place that was never open;…read moreapparently they had issues with permits, and some other legal hurdles, but they're open!!! Apparently they've been open for a while now, I just didn't know. I was in so much pain last night, and didn't want to go to the food reflexology place because frankly; they can increase pain; as they aren't really massage therapists - so I called Oasis. It was 8 p.m., and I saw that this place was open until 10 p.m. One four minute phone call, and I was booked!! Upon entering, I heard a woman yell out a name, three times, and a woman appeared from down the hall, very sweet. I mentioned that I'd called and needed an hour of body work. She said "You pay credit card or cash now," that was a bit off putting, but I was in a LOT of pain. I paid cash, fifty bucks for an hour "massage" and she said "come on," pointed to a room, and said "I bring change" so, I was waiting, and waiting, and realized maybe this is where I'm getting massaged. There was a table, and some oil, lotion and alcohol, so, I undressed and got on the table, about ten minutes later, a woman came in, and put the change on the "dresser" where the oil, lotion and alcohol were. When I asked her name she said "Ashley," oddly enough, the license outside for the massage therapist did not have the name of Ashley, so I asked if she was the massage therapist, she said "yes" and removed the blanket, and placed a towel over my body, and started PUSHING on my back, and shoulders. Ten minutes (at least) went by, and I asked if she was going to be massaging the areas I'd discussed on the phone, upper back, neck, shoulders and clavicle, pectoral area, and she removed the towel, got the oil and started massaging my back. Very deep, but kind of all over the place with the massage, she focused on the areas I spoke of, worked about a minute on each leg, didn't touch my hands or my feet. Now, I know, this sounds awful, right? NOPE - not really, just not what I like in a massage (normally), but I left there like a pile of mashed potatoes and gravy!! I had very little pain, and felt so much better. I didn't write a review last night because by the time I got home, it took all I had left to brush my teeth and get in to my bed!!! I rarely sleep past 4 a.m., I slept until 7:15 a.m., that's how great this massage was; although it was a lot different than what I'm used to; I'll be back. The next time, I'll ask for an hour foot massage, and ONLY feet, because she's strong, and I know that for me, a food massage tends to release a lot of tension and pain in my body. Don't let the exterior fool you, this place is good, for fifty bucks plus a tip, there's no excuse not to get a massage now and then.

I could not communicate well with my masseuse as she understood little English. I wanted a deep tissue massage. I got 2 hours of mostly elbows and forearms, sometimes on my spine - ouch! My hip is out, my ribs are out (after my osteopath just fixed them). I have had a good deep tissue massage before and this was not even close - lack of knowledge of how to work those muscles to get them to relax. The prices have increased $5 due to covid, but it is still affordable. Foot massages are $35 for an hour. All of the massages are with clothes on. I have been promised a refund at least three times by the a front desk staffer who finally said that the refund would not be sent based untrue claims on behalf of the business owner which I have all documentation to prove. I disputed the financing arrangement and was awarded the dispute reversing all payments made to date and will be going to Marin Small Claims for the down payment paid on a debit card. Scheduled appointments to discuss further care have not been kept, multiple emails have gone answered, and a certified letter was refused. A refund for unused services and medications were promised to be refunded at least three times by the same person and through a different staffer when the person who promised originally failed to meet and discuss the promised refund.
