This is a nice library. I take my mom here every week so she can get books, she's an avid reader. They have lots of computers here and excellent wi-fi signal. The people who work here are all super nice as well. The only thing is some people who hang out here don't bathe often. Hence a kind of BO smell most days. We are always in and out. However if I was going to hang out and read one should take this into account. read more

This has come one of my favorite libraries. I homeschool my kids and they have a deep love of books. We frequent the other local library but they were often lacking in books we needed for school. Then I discovered Marina Library! They've had almost everything we have every needed. And I feel like they have a lot more variety. I use their online ordering system to browse. Pick up is a breeze... have continued to use them through Covid, love their curbside pick up. The staff is some of my favorite people! This library is very nice. I go in from time to time to get away form my routine and change my environment. They have very comfortable couches and even have a fire place! Which works against me since it mimics a home-like coziness that allows for the hours to pass by. OH and there's a play structure for your little ones to play with outside! Around 3:30ish expect to have it flooded with people. Many of them are school-age children so that is a good thing. The down side of that is that people (adults too) will be on their cell phone and talking loudly and wont follows the basic rule of the library SHHHH! Besides these minor glitches, this library is very pleasant. read more

Nice, big, clean facility... But looks can be deceiving. When I walked in the first thing I noticed was how clean it was kept. No weird, musty (or sometimes even homeless pee) stink or anything like that. However, usually a busy day in the library doesn't mean it's going to be loud either. I also noticed that this is the first library that I've ever been in where I'm taller than the bookshelves. Maybe it's still new and still coming up. You can still study, work, research, web, read here just fine. read more

Overall, I am pleased with both the personnel and facilities of this public library. I have used this library many times, off and on, over many decades and have donated generously (books, music tapes, DVDs, VCR tapes, money, etc.) to ensure its continued successful operation. However, since Monday, July 15th, the library's public access computers, internet service and public access copiers have been down, severely inconveniencing regular users of same, including myself. I was informed today (it now being Friday, the 19th of July) that while the internet may now be accessible, the public access printers are not. I must retrieve several very important documents immediately and do not have printing capability at home. Therefore, I would ask the administrators, on behalf of myself and of numerous others similarly inconvenienced by this unexplained and seemingly unnecessarily long interruption, to please fix this matter immediately. My review will mainly be based on the wonderful book sale I attended the week of September 10-17. We were staying nearby at the Marina Dunes Resort - Worldmark by Wyndham and saw the signs for the Marina library book sale. We thought it would be fun to pick up some books to read at night, after our long days on the beach. The service was friendly and the books arranged well. There was a large inventory available. We picked up DVDs, coffee table books, decorating, cooking, & travel books. Prices were excellent and we feel it's always for a good cause. We even went back another day and picked up more. I saw on the news recently that they are opening a library bookstore in town so kudos. It sounds like it's much needed for the marina community. Good job library! read more

This a great library but a little small. Usually I have to request books to be transfered to this library for pick up. Other than that it is great for the kids and has a playground out front plus storytime is on Thursdays. read more

We came here a few times for school testing, since they rented the large room, and its a cute little library. We haven't got around to checking the books, but their playground looks nice for children. The bathrooms are clean and modern. The whole library is clean, and people seem friendly. If we had time and were in the area, we would definitely come back to check it out in more detail. read more

The type of reviewer I am of any establishment is that of an individual who does not give 5 stars. However, the Marina Public Library is a great library, taking into consideration that it is a public library. It is bright, clean, very nice, friendly, and the ambience is conducive to an enjoyable reading time, because it is usually quiet. It is comfortable for anyone who needs to do serious studying; the library has very clean and well-maintained bathrooms. The library technicians are nice and helpful with questions and are always willing to help with a smile. The librarian can, perhaps, learn a little bit about the art of welcome the library patrons with a smile (just a suggestion! :) ) In general, I really like doing my reading in this peaceful library. read more

They don't have the best selection of books, but this is understandable since it is still a fairly new library. Being so new, it is also nice and clean! And getting the books you want is easy since you can request them online and they'll be available within a day or two. It's also a great place to get some work done. read more
