Dr. Burstein is hit or miss......sometimes he has a "hot date" and rushes you out; other times he has time. After refusing to submit to an orthopedic of my choice for surgery and the rudeness of the staff I'm going to have to take business elsewhere-same building, different doctor. Dr. Marina has been a pediatrician for my both sons since my younger was born. She is equally professional and caring with infants, toddlers and adolescents. she also has a very personable approach to her little patients. She tells us what we need to hear and is very honest, and actually she is very open minded compared to most western dr's. I have been bringing my kids to Dr. Burstein for over 4 years now. She is amazing anytime we have any issue they give us a same day appointment and we are able to be seen right away. Nurse Svetlana is amazing! She is so sweet and makes getting our annual vaccines a breeze. The front office girls are also amazing Anya and Marina are always very helpful and knowledgeable. selected this doctor on my anthem plan for my baby. her name is printed on my insurance card as PCP. my boy got RSV last week and they refused to see him, said I have to switch to some other medical group (whatever that means). As I could not deal with that, I went to our old pedi and paid cash. I called Anthem today and they 3 way called them and guess what, now they are willing to see us. Shady practice! Good morning I want to start off by saying that Dr. Samuel Burstein is an amazing doctor, he is also my mothers Doctor I have zero complaints on thee other hand he is very professional & has always listened to my suggestions & has always provided perfect professionalism. This morning I called the office I believe the receptionist that answered my phone call was named Roxana, 1 she answered & was immediately rushing my questions that I was asking, she raised her voice at me treated me like I was less important than any other patient & I say this because I asked her "you sound a bit frustrated & you're being sort of rude" she proceeded to say "yes I'm frustrated because I have other customers on the line" she then proceeded hanging up on me while I was still trying to ask questions despite her yelling at me & being completely unprofessional. I've been a patient their for almost 2 years now & my mother has been a patient for over 3-4 years now. It's unacceptable & unprofessional & I'm offended. I'm upset that I'm even writing this review because like I mentioned my doctor is amazing but his receptionist is setting a horrible example for his front office. 5 stars for Dr Burstein but 1 star for Roxana the receptionist!!!!! read more

We love our doctor! Always available for us and very careful on treating our son. My son would get frequent ear infections and Dr. Burstein would monitor him and would be so careful in his treatment. She only prescribes medications when truly needed and i trust her 100%. She is also very patient with my son who cries a lot during appointments. Parents can't decide which and when to give their children their vaccines? Yikes. I understand the recommended ages, but each person is different and every parent knows their own child. Schools are already forcing certain vaccines, which are the only ones I really care for. And Be aware they will bill your insurance for more than is covered if your child has an ear infection, and you will get a Bill from their office for 150$ extra that the receptionist can't even explain what it is for. What an awful and unprofessional place! After moving to the area this Dr. was recommended to us but we had trouble with the office from the first minute. I called the office many times but there was no answer ever, and they never returned my phone calls even after several messages and I really should have stopped there but my friend said they just get busy because of the season. When I finally got thru one day the nurse's English was so bad (they are all Russians and I assume that's all the patients they want to see there) it took forever to be able to spell things and even after that they got my son's last name wrong. They sent over paperwork to fill out prior to the visit and asked for records from our previous Dr. When the day of our appointment came up we went to the wrong address as the paperwork contained their old address they left 2years ago!!!! So did their google map address! After waiting for the Dr. For one hour and completing all the pre check up exams the Dr finally came in and was extremely rude and unprofessional from the first moment. She claimed our paperwork from the previous office was incomplete (it's not in my control what they send over) and she will not examine my children until she gets all the records. She was dismissive, unprofessional rude and extremely uninformed. Also never washed her hands upon entering the room neither did any of her staff so their cleanliness is also very questionable. Needless to say we left and will never return! I would not recommend this doctor to anyone unless you are Russian maybe than they will help you... read more

Do not come here! Office staff is ridiculously rude and cold. We missed 4 appointments over a total of 4 years(2 which I cancelled and 2 no shows). I called to reschedule this morning for my daughters physical she said she's going to send me a bill for no show and a letter to discharge my daughter from their office, basically saying that we can't come here anymore and go find a new doctor, so who gave you the authority? (without bringing this to the doctors attention) I will gladly take her to a different doctor where I don't have to deal with rude office staff every time I call or come here. Ok you asked for review, you going to get one :) This was first and last time we taking our son to this office!!! Made appt 12.30pm was told to come early 12.15pm thats what we did. Until almost 1pm we were in waiting room that was hot like sauna :(. Then we sat in exam room for 45mnts again was hot, my child felt a sleep. Nurse and Intern was telling doctor is coming shortly.... Your Doctor Intern"come to the room, never asked if i wonted to talk to her and give all the information. Ok then she was asking some question 1000 times how many times we feed our son and amounts. To see if he is eating enough. How in world can be that he is not eating enough, if his weight 18lb at 5 months? Then Dr Burnstein come to room around 1.45pm and first thing was we need to do Hep B vaccine. We come because child is sick and not to do vaccines. Even me without medical degree can understand that You cannot do vaccines when child is sick!!!! Virus test wasn't performed. Medication dosage was to high for 5 month old, she wrote prescription for to much medication. Basically this office visit was waist of our 2 hr time and $40 co pay. Being forced to do Hep B vaccination and giving letter with vaccines etc rules about how we need to follow or find new doctor is not professional. read more
