I was surprised when I stood at the front counter to pay for my item, the woman named Gloria was rude. She was wrapping a gift I believe, made eye contact and continued to wrap. Then I thought well maybe this isn't where you get rung up. I went ahead and asked and she said, "will the vintage crayons be all for you" in a rude and dismissive manner as if I were an inconvenience. She didn't say hello, smile, nothing; didn't make any effort to connect with a paying customer. I asked her nicely if this was her shop and she said no. Kinda ruined my experience up to that point. Good thing we were on our way out. Be more mindful of the people supporting your shop.

This place serves mostly the design trade. There are so many gorgeous fabrics here, it is hard to even pick out what you like. For most of the fabrics, they will give you little sample pieces so you can check it out in your home or office. These are not cheap fabrics. They are exquisite silks in all colors, thicknesses, and designs. I was looking for some very plain out-of-the-carton goldish long drapes for my new place. They had exactly what I wanted and gave me a sample of the fabric to see if it really matches the room. The custom drapes take 5-6 weeks to make. The ones that are "out of the box" are readily available in several lengths, specializing in long ceiling to floor sizes. This store is a trip to visit and has solved my needs. But again, you're going to do better if you go with someone who has trade privileges, just like with any designer store. Be careful parking -- you'll get a ticket in a second if your meter runs out.
