Latest rackets, shoes, balls etc. I always go to them to get my rackets strung. I went in the other day and they got it done for me in an hour and a half. I went back yesterday and got a new pair of hard court shoes by Asics. They are super comfortable. I recently had bought a racket on Amazon. Turns out that their price was $50 less than Amazon. So their prices are really good. They offer private lessons. They have an indoor practice facility. Joey, the owner is really nice. I highly recommend checking them out.

Too hard to find open swim time, too hard to properly staff lifeguards, too hard to get funding to finish the pool remodel, too hard fathoming the loss of all that money updating a clubhouse that was in better shape than the pool. Too hard justifying $85 per month, year 'round, and soon to increase...again. We'll miss the tennis courts...easily the best part and most under used part of the club. Epic Friday night family parties with the kids safely swimming (with a lifeguard) while the folks get hammered. Campfire smores, good friends and a wonderful staff. See ya.......................

The moment…read moreyou walk into Los Cab, it feels like you stepped back into the 1980s -- and not in a charming nostalgic way. The facilities are incredibly dated, tired, and poorly maintained. The locker room and shower facilities are especially gross. No towels, no bath products, nothing complimentary. You have to bring everything yourself -- even your own lock for the lockers unless you want to pay extra for one that already has a lock attached. For the membership prices they charge, that's ridiculous. The gym/workout area feels like an old budget fitness center from decades ago. Ancient equipment, outdated layout, and just an overall neglected feel. The entire club is in desperate need of a renovation. And if you're joining primarily for tennis, look elsewhere. Tennis clearly takes a backseat now because the club is dominated by pickleball courts. If you're a true tennis player, the nonstop loud popping noise from pickleball paddles will drive you insane. To make things worse, they don't even have a proper app for court reservations. In 2026, you still have to CALL IN to reserve a court like it's 1995. There are far better tennis clubs in Orange County that actually invest in their facilities and tennis programs.

On the weekend of March 7 & 8, 2026, I had the fun opportunity to attend the PPA Tour - SXY Newport Beach Open Semi-Finals Saturday and Championship Sunday. This wonderful venue was held at The Tennis & Pickleball Club in Newport Beach. It was walking distance from Fashion Island, but I ended up parking nearby and got shuttled to the event. Check-in was easy. Line went really fast. Staff was friendly and helpful. Tennis and pickleball courts were really nice and well maintained. Both Semi-Finals and Championship matches were held at the Humana Championship Court. Seating was not pre-assigned... first come first served. I was lucky to get pretty good seats on both days. Thank you! Bleachers seating was not the most comfortable. I forgot to bring my cushion. Oh well. There were a lot of participants and spectators. Various merch and service vendors plus Pickleball Central were present. Bought myself a custom sweater with cute quote "Great minds dink a like". Food and beverage options were limited. Luxury restroom trailers were located in the parking lot outside of the club. All singles and doubles matches were amazing. All pro pickleball players were spectacular in their game. It made for a really good venue although the PPA attracts so many players and fans that for this particular tournament, they probably need to add some additional food and beverage options! Courts are great although pending which court you play on, there may not be great options for spectators. Meet some friends who were playing pickleball at these courts. Plenty of parking along the side…read morewhere there's a parking lot as well as street parking. It's along back near Wilson high school. Tennis courts and one side it's also utilize for pickleball. The bigger side of the court was all utilize for tennis. Then there's the smaller section where it was 8 courts for pickleball. The seating was quite nice as it was bleachers so each seat you had a nice view of the courts. It was quite busy for a Sunday afternoon with pretty much all the courts there taken. Both side either for practice, tournament or people having a good time. There was also a baseball field behind the bleachers. Restroom were located under the bleachers. The court itself was quite nice. Very well maintained and all clean. Compared to others I've been, this was great.
