Great big community park. They have indoor & outdoor basketball courts, 2 baseball fields, 2 soccer fields. Kid playgrounds, couple picnic area where you can grill the foods. A small dog park and plenty of shades areas plus plenty of parking spots. It's located right next to HS and healthcare center.

Very cool! Took a 8 and 10 year old and it's a win. Coolest park I've seen in a while.(: Ps.found a public restroom by the Atlantis play center and dog park.

Attending my Mom annual high school reunion at this place, the park was nice and clean with a lot of shades, courts for multiples sports activities, plus huge parking on both sides, but Sunday wasn't ideal to book a spot where you got nothing to cover your head from the roof, other smaller area were already occupied with people from their own church groups or what not at least those roofs had shades, it seems the park is a popular spot for gathering on the weekends, but you have a large group of elderly folks maybe try to book ahead of time.

You have to come check out the new playground! It's being remodeled and it's looking great! (Finally) Although one play ground is done, it appears they are working on the other playground that was there. I'm sure it'll look just as great as the one there already. I do want to make note of a couple things. Even though one play ground is open, there is a swaying boat equipment that was not available for use. I'll be back next week and hopefully that is fixed by then. Also, the bathrooms near by, were closed. I'll update later. Enjoy!

Such a shame .. the new playground already vandalized .. there's tagging on it too . This hoodlums have no respect for nice things

It's a nice big park but be aware of the distraction these low lifes did to the playground

I came here, it feels comfortable, beautiful, spacious, and full of shade. Children and adults have a lot of physical activities, and community activities here. The destination mentioned

Irresponsible dog owner with unleashed dog at Garden Grove Park.

Beware of Irresponsible dog owners at this park. The park itself is nice. But I've encountered irresponsible dog owners here. They let their dogs run loose without a leash. If the unleashed dog runs toward another dog that is leashed, the unleashed dog is considered the aggressor. It doesn't matter if the dog is small or big. The potential for dog fights or bites are there. The owner of the unleashed dog would be held responsible. It is the law to have dogs on the leash. There is a small dog park (fenced) towards the back where dogs can run unleashed. But the irresponsible dog owners think they own the whole park and everybody else has to bow down to them and their unleashed dog.

Look how beautiful the day is

Thanks to all the hard workers, volunteers, and community for keeping a safe and clean environment for all to experience! This is a public place to relax, get connected to nature and very peaceful atmosphere. Thanks for all the positive energy and beautiful inspirational quotes from people who see the light!

Spacious park with playgrounds, basketball court, restrooms, seatings, AND A DOG PARK! There's always poop bags in case of emergencies. Plenty of parking spaces. Overall a nice place to visit for daily walks!

A decent amount of shade. Thank you, Trees.

Garden Grove Park is a relatively quiet, nice sized park this past weekend. It's big enough to hold the annual Tet Festival AND fits the entirety of Atlantis within its borders. (Atlantis Play Center) Older gentlemen stay young by playing volleyball on one side while a younger crowd remains safely within the confines of the basketball courts. Then there are the skateboarding teens looking to fly through the air. The baseball fields were empty but looked fairly well kept. It was a pleasant mix of people on Sunday. My running partner and I took a break and stopped to say hello to a nice, elderly lady who walks to the park for exercise. I think this is my second favorite park in the Central OC area.

    Plenty of parking

My only gripe is the guy they hired to pick up the forgotten waste around the park. He's super opinionated, which in itself is fine . Except that he drags people into his long winded political rants. Usually glorifying Elon Musk and Trump. He loudly talks smack on anyone who is not a supporter as "idiots " ect..ect .. Like I just want to chill and not think about politics at the dog park. Can you maybe just talk at a normal volume with your friends about this instead of shouting at the park? Usually when I see him I keep my distance and just ignore him but it sucks that I have to do that everytime Most the people he's talking to look uncomfortable and just want to walk away Anyways besides that, I do love coming here and am happy with the cleanliness of the park

We walk by here a ton of times and this one time another dog tried to attack our corgi. My fiancé had to pick up our dog to get him away from the aggressive dog and he was bit in the hand in the process. Owner didn't even apologize and took him forever to grab his dog. Everyone please be aware when coming here. This is not the first time some dog off leash tried to attack our little one. If you can't train or keep a close eye on your dog then you shouldn't be owning one.

BEWARE - ROTTEN APPLE…read more On August 7, at approximately 9:25 a.m., we entered Olive Hills Park and, within seconds of coming through the second gate, a dog named Apple (an older brown, black, and white dog with pointed ears) immediately attacked my 1-year-old Chihuahua mix by grabbing her neck and pinned her. My dog cried while we waited for the owner to intervene because it was too dangerous to step in. This was the second time the same dog has attacked my dog at this park in the same location, just as we enter the park. The owner stated, "She's just a bully," and other park visitors appeared to already know the dog by that reputation. The owner never asked if my dog was okay or acknowledged the seriousness of the incident. We left the park because we no longer felt safe. When I returned to ask why this continued to happen, another person with the owner dismissed it as "just dogs being dogs. And that she only does that to your dog" I wanted to make others aware of this recurring issue involving Apple.

There's a communal bench area that's covered that looks good for parties (with a cool King Neptune statue). There are really beautiful and unique stone water fountains shaped like seashells integrated into the walls. It feels like a magical little park with groovy animals/shapes. My kid was able to enjoy the splash pad all to herself. There's an outdoor shower right by it as well to rinse off. The splash pad was interactive and fun. There are various swing sets here of different styles fit for different ages. There was ample parking. Many of the areas are shaded. The bad: We came upon opening hours and the gate wasn't open yet. People opened it around 7 minutes late. My husband and I were about to leave but luckily stood around trying to make phone calls for long enough that someone eventually came and opened the gate. The interesting: After an hour or less at the splash pad the button to turn the water on stopped working.

Instead there's bird poop, spider webs, and litter everywhere. The splash pad wasn't operating when we visited. Some of the playground equipment is rusty. All of it is outdated with some strange design choices. We were the only ones there, which after a while was sad and a bit creepy. I like that there's so much shady greenery and that the park is fenced in with an affordable admission fee. In fact, that's how an Instagram influencer convinced me to check this place out (last time I listen to that person, ay yi yi). But it's messed up how the ticket seller took our money with a big smile and told us to have a good time -- not letting us know that the splash pad was broken and sending us to play in a neglected mess. When I asked about the splash pad, I was told to contact Garden Grove city hall for updates. Not sure what's going on with this place. Maybe the employees could at least pick up trash and wipe away bird poop.
