We…read morehave little to no medical care in our small town and while it's not their job to care for your animal ( that's your veterinarians job) since their job is to care for and find homes for that many unwanted animals dumped off there, they do what then can, when they can, to help your pet. My regular vet which I had been going to for years casually left a message on my answering machine that the bloodwork came back on my dog and that she had kidney disease. I reached out many times to find out what I needed to do to help her and NEVER got a call back. He was too busy to instruct me on how I should care for her. Out of desperation, I contacted Jennifer at South Coast Humane because I had heard that she helped out pets in the past. Jennifer went above and beyond for my Sadie. She gave her fluids daily, even when the shelter was closed she said to bring my baby in. I really can't say enough good things about Jennifer, Cora and Dr F. Sadie has since passed away but I'll always have love in my heart for these compassionate individuals.

My mother was a resident at Seaview in the memory care unit until her passing. She received…read moreexcellent care 24/7. My family visited often and observed that the residents were clean, fed well, and given many appropriate activities. We saw a very compassionate team of care givers. At the end of 2019, we moved my father from another assisted living facility to Seaview. He has a lovely studio in the assisted living area and has been very happy there. The food is really good, especially for an institutional environment. He is 98 1/2 and participates in some of the activities. With the COVID 19 pandemic, Seaview took all the precautions to keep their residents and workers safe. It has been extremely difficult for my Dad. He is a people person and doesn't handle isolation well, so at this moment he is very depressed. Even family members are not allowed to visit. They are not even allowed into the building. Residents must eat meals in their rooms. My Dad needs a hug. I want to thank and applaud Seaview for their tough stance in this pandemic. I am in Canada, and across this country, elderly care facilities are a disaster. Half of the deaths are in these facilities. Workers were not being careful, didn't practice distancing, often didn't have appropriate safety gear like masks, gloves, gowns. COVID 19 spread like wildfire. Some workers walked off the jobs leaving residents to die of lack of food, water, medicine, and any care. It is appalling, shameful, and a "moral failure". The government is begging skilled people to deploy to these facilities. It is heart breaking! I talk with my Dad every couple of days. He is extremely lonely and depressed, but I ask him to be thankful he is in a facility like Seaview that is doing everything possible to prevent any COVID 19 cases. The actions are difficult, but necessary. Please Seaview, maintain your vigilance.

I've been wearing partials on an off for the past 10 years and use to wearing only lowers or only uppers depending on what in my mouth was bothering me. I figured this was an intermediary lower denture and in 6 months to a year after being evaluated post extractions we would see where we would be at. I understand she was not confident in our plan and didn't not want to help. But I think if you had told me this instead of starting to mold my mouth for dentures and rambling on about how wrong this all was: was not necessary. Plus, your mentioning of yours and your husbands nursing back round. Which I am also an x-nurse. But I actually worked in the field for close to 3 decades. It seemed we ended up getting both very worked up. You are really no longer a practicing licensed nurse, are you? I don't think that works for your advantage. I think if you cared about the people who enter your business, access the written order first, make your mind up and then act. Don't start an impression on the person before your mind is made up. You were asking me questions putting me on the defensive and expecting me to respond while I had an impression in my mouth. I don't believe that was fair treatment. I came home and Blood pressure was thorough the roof. Realized my Ativan prescription was really outdated and now I have an appointment with my primary physician. When I initially called your office, I explained to Chris over the phone what the referral was about. You've been in the business for 4 decades you haven't run across this type of request before? I would think with your years of experience you would have handled the situation better. But that's up to you. It's your business. Like I said, you didn't have to take impressions of my mouth. Your feelings should have been discussed prior to impression taking. How exactly you ended the meeting with me, I do not recall. But you and I disagreed and I belief that's how it ended and you could not help me and my check was returned. No worries we won't be seeing each other again. Best Wishes.
