Stuffed in a corner is a small bridal room with a handful of bridal gowns. More than one was stained, even ones she'd claimed were new. When a dress was too big, she went to pin it, as is normal and said how she learned it from say yes to the dress. It was not the greatest experience and I wouldn't suggest going there if you're really looking for a gown.

We had a bride trying on dresses (her first time trying on any dresses) and some (6) bridesmaids trying on dresses. We scheduled the appointments for both groups at least a week ahead of time, but still when we walked into the store a few of the women at the front had disgusted/annoyed looks on their faces, exchanging looks at each other and one of them even rolling her eyes in annoyance. Sure, the group was excited to be there and excited to celebrate with the bride, but none of our behavior garnered these looks from the staff. The bridesmaids were split off with another woman to pick some dresses in the wedding colors while the bride, another friend, and I went to look at the wedding gowns. The woman helping us look at gowns was wonderful. She was very attentive and offered many suggestions for accessories that would match dresses and listened closely to what the bride was looking for. She is the only reason I am giving two stars. The bridesmaids each tried on one or two dresses, while the bride tried on a handful of wedding gowns. She found a few that she was interested in and was able to get those into their system in case she decides to return for them. Despite being a bridal store, they seemed to have very few options for wedding gowns. We were the last groups of the night and we did extend past their closing time by about 15 minutes. This was, in part, to the assistant bringing additional dresses to try on that we had not originally picked out (which was great to see other options!) and in part because the ladies in our group had to change out of their dresses and were dragging their feet a bit (despite some of our attempts to speed things along). As we reached closing time, a few of the staff members were coming by and making comments to each other and again making annoyed faces to our group (not even trying to hide it!). I understand some annoyance when a group extends past close, I get that, it *is* annoying and I would be frustrated as well. However, we were never once reminded that we were coming to a close, we were never gently asked to stop, etc. Not once did any staff member bring up what time it was or give a little, "Unfortunately, our time is running out". It's easy to lose track of time when you're jumping in and out of dresses. The time isn't exactly the first thing on your mind, so it would have been helpful if someone had said something. I think it's safe to say that neither I or anyone in my group will be returning to this store. The staff really put a huge damper on what should have been a fun and celebratory time.

In the last 8…read moremonths alone I have gotten 2 bridesmaids dresses, alterations on 1, my wedding dress, and I start alterations on it next week at this location. The staff here has really helped me find the right colors and make sure I have everything for my big day coming up in March! I was able to purchase a couple swatches in the colors that I'm working with (Apple, Mystic, and Mercury) so I can make sure that my decorations match. My future sister-in-law will be on my fiance's side so we were able to get her dress in the Mystic gray that I'm using as one of my colors. I was able to get matching gray suits for the rest of the groomsmen at Men's Wearhouse(their brother shop) so she won't stand out! And since I got my wedding dress here all the ladies get $20 off their dress! I let my bridesmaids pick the style of their dress because I want it to be in their budget. Just as long as their dress is floor length and Apple red it was okay with me! The consultants were extremely helpful in pulling what we needed and being considerate of my bridesmaids that were self continence of their weight. All of their prices are very reasonable and they also have sales going on. If you know you'll need a dress I recommend signing up for their emails. I have already gotten so many updates on their sales. I was even able to get $50 off my own wedding dress. They were very prompt in letting me know when my dresses were in as well. Since they are also open later I can go in after work to pick them up. It's definitely been convenient for me. And their shoe collection is really good. I was able to get heels in their Apple Red color to match the color of my bridesmaids standing on my side. They didn't have my size in house but they were able to order them and they arrived just last week. They fit great just have to break them in! I couldn't be happier with the professionalism that I've received over the last 8 months. Even the shop manager remembers me and always stops to talk about how my wedding planning is coming along and if I was able to find what I needed that I mentioned on my last visit. They really do care about making your big day perfect!

Made an appointment at a different shop to try on bridal dresses. The shop cancelled my appointment the morning of my appointment. I called Michelle's and they gave me an appointment that same day! The staff had everything set up for me and my bridesmaid. They were so accommodating and informative. I found my dress right away! I was able to pick out the tuxedos from a good selection of styles and colors. My (now) husband and his groomsmen got measured and all the tuxedos were ordered. One groomsman had his shipped to him due to him living hours away. The tuxedos arrived exactly when they said they would. The tuxedo that was shipped to a home fit great. When my husband and my son need to pick up their tuxes, horrible storms were coming through our area. Most businesses had closed. One amazing staff member stayed at the store so we could try on and pick them up!! A slightly alteration need to be done on my sons tux. She did it in the store right there! Took only 10 mins!! The quality of my dress and all the tuxedos was so excellent. Prices were less than I expected! Everything was perfect!!! I would definitely recommend Michelle's! They were all amazing!!

We called ahead and made an appointment to try on dresses, and I made it clear when scheduling that we were looking for dresses for a bridesmaid and mother of the bride, as well as cocktail dresses - so we were potentially buying FOUR dresses. We were immediately told that there would "...be NO time to order anything" so we would have to buy off the rack. Ok, fine. We went in for our scheduled time, the woman looked us up and down, and pointed back to a small rack of dresses, and then waved in the direction of another potential area where we might find something. When I asked for our specific size, she kind of laughed and suggested that we would have to take whatever was available. The dresses were ugly last season dresses, smelled horrible, were ripped and stained, some even had busted zippers, and were all still priced over $600. We tried on two, and decided to leave. The story goes even longer and the service gets even worse in terms of level of care and quality, I will save the reader from the absolute worst details. We even were walked down to the prom dress area, where the service was clearly centered to cater to that clientele. Bottom line is, we were judged immediately based on size, and sent to a back room with a fitter who really could have cared less about us. Needless to say, we bought nothing there. I will add that their quote about it being "too late to order anything" was absolutely wrong, goes beyond measure in terms of scoring this business for integrity and customer care. I ordered two beautiful dresses direct from a designer from her Spring 2026 line, received BOTH dresses within a week, and already have them in for alterations and it is only the second week of March. What's more, the formal gowns I tried on at Nordstrom, Macy's and Bloomingdale's far out surpassed Michelle's Bridal in terms of quality and price, by leaps and bounds, and we were treated better by the retail staff than by anyone at Michelle's. The advice I would leave folks with, who might be considering Michelle's Bridal for their special day, is shop around. Just because they are the *only* bridal shop in this area, does not give them the right to judge customers, treat customers like garbage, and assume facts about the industry that just are not true. Do your own research. They should stick to their niche prom and homecoming crowd, who are willing to overpay for cheap, one-time wear dresses. Such a shame, especially when there is a market for high quality wedding boutiques that offer high end customer care, even for the mother of the bride. I vote NO for Michelle's Bridal.

We went to their Springfield, IL location, and the stylist, Bridget, could not have been less interested in helping us out. She was rude and condescending, scoffing at basic styling questions--such as asking if they carry a specific dress style. She also asked the bride, "Would you rather the guests look at your dress or your face?" when she inquired about a gown with detailing all the way to the bottom. That said, I do very much appreciate the owner's diligence in handling the issue. She messaged me right away, provided a refund, and genuinely asked for additional feedback on how the experience could have been improved. It's clear she cares about the reputation of her business and the experience of her customers, and I truly respect that effort.

The services that we had used from Elite: 1) I bought my wedding dress and veil through Elite Bridal and my mom bought her Mother of the Bride's dress- my mom and I had so much fun finding my dress there- they have COUNTLESS options for all budgets and styles! If you book an appointment in advance I know there is the option to have a VIP experience, I decided to save some money and just went with a regular visit in the afternoon, during the week, and still felt like a VIP!! All of the ladies at Elite Bridal were wonderful and very easy to work with! 2) We did limo through Elite Limos and originally booked the Escalade limo, for a decent price. However, the Escalade had an unfortunate incident with a deer the week before our wedding but Kaitlin & Ryan were very kind and offered to upgrade us for free to the Party Bus or Hummer Limo- we chose the party bus and it was fantastic! 3) We chose to have our DJ through Elite Entertainment and Jeff Blankenship wound up being our guy! We received so many compliments all night on how awesome the DJ and music was and how no one had ever seen so many people on the dance floor through the whole night! Everyone is talking about how much fun they had at our wedding and I think Jeff & Elite Entertainment had a lot to do with that!! Thank you!! 4) We also chose to do Chiavari Chairs through Elite Entertainment, and they were beautiful!! I received a lot of compliments on how pretty they were and really added to the ambiance in the room! 5) Stacy from Elite helped us order tuxes through Jim's Formalwear and all of the tuxes looked great on the guys and they said they were very easy to order. Many of them needed to order them from out of state or far away (more than half actually!) and they also said it was a very easy process. My husband actually needed a different size jacket and vest when he received his in the mail and when he called Jim's Formalwear to get the new size it came in the mail very quickly TWICE!! He received it in the mail in plenty of time for us to get married. All in all- we would choose Elite all over again for the quality of service that they provided. Every interaction that I had with them via e-mail, phone, or in person was equally as personable and helpful. I have heard that some people in the area don't go with Elite because it's too "pricey" but I disagree- if you choose them for multiple services then you end up getting discounts galore! We actually saved money by going with them for so many things AND received high quality and trustworthy services! We ended up having severe rain all day during our wedding and some things needed to be moved around last minute- my aunt who was acting as our day- of coordinator on my behalf said that Elite was very easy to work with and that between her, Kaitlin from Elite, and Caitlin from the Regent (our ceremony and reception location) everything was taken care of! However, there was a miscommunication about alterations, and I called to confirm an appointment for my bridesmaids. I was under the impression that alterations through David's Bridal was free. I am completely fine with paying for any alterations because I know that is a lot of work. While on this phone call with an employee she was extremely rude to me and was extremely unprofessional. I have never felt that belittled or attacked. My bridesmaids overheard the conversation with this employee, and they were in utter shock as well. This encounter unfortunately has me questioning if I am comfortable purchasing anything else from David's Bridal.
