I wanted to get my mother's 1969 wedding dress made into a getting-ready-robe and veil. If any material was leftover I was hoping for bouquet wrap and a special something to gift to my mom. Wendy created a fabulous robe, beautiful veil with the lace from her dress, wrap for my flowers and a precious handkerchief for my mom by using a square of her gown and then cut-out a piece of lace and sewed it on one side. Seeing my mother hold this walking down the aisle is priceless. Our wedding took place in another city so all of my vendors were remote. I really wanted to someone local to do this (shop small!). This was such a special, positive experience so I will always be grateful to Wendy - she is just so, so talented. Her daughter, Erin, is who I dealt with at the shop and Erin was the best! We went to their Springfield, IL location, and the stylist, Bridget, could not have been less interested in helping us out. She was rude and condescending, scoffing at basic styling questions--such as asking if they carry a specific dress style. She also asked the bride, "Would you rather the guests look at your dress or your face?" when she inquired about a gown with detailing all the way to the bottom. That said, I do very much appreciate the owner's diligence in handling the issue. She messaged me right away, provided a refund, and genuinely asked for additional feedback on how the experience could have been improved. It's clear she cares about the reputation of her business and the experience of her customers, and I truly respect that effort.

We started our rental process 3 months prior to our wedding. My fiancé went to have the first…read morefitting and the information was put in the computer under the wrong name. When the tux's came in and they went for the final fitting the shoes had missing eyelets, one shirt was too small, and my fiance's shirt had a ring of dirt around the collar. The manager told him it would be in at 10:00 the day of the wedding!!!!! When he returned home and discussed the situation with me I called the store and told her it was unacceptable and she needed to do better than that. She drove to the nearest factory the next day. The shirts were new and the shoes were as well. The Best Man then had to return to the store because the suspenders were dirty. The tux's looked much different on the guys then they did on the mannequin. The were oversized and sloppy looking. We had no choice but to use them at this point. When i went to return the tux's i forgot the shoes at home. I wanted to leave the suits at the store while I went to retrieve the shoes. They refused the suits and said they would need to charge me $25 per tux if I left them there while I returned home to get the shoes. This implied that I wanted to keep there disgusting product. SO YOU DECIDE. Do you really want to get your tux's here???

Unfortunately, one of them was completely awful, and it…read moreultimately caused my sister to seek out bridesmaid dresses at another store despite the fact that she had already committed to buying her wedding dress here. While trying on bridesmaid dresses, my non-bride sister and one of my engaged sister's friends were trying on dresses. Now the friend was a few sizes larger, which is no big deal to us, but apparently it was to the sales girl. She repeatedly made a point of coming out with several dresses and loudly saying things like, "These will work for our bigger bridesmaid and then these others are the small sizes," as she handed the dresses to them to be tried on. Several other customers looked stunned at the way she kept phrasing it. What's especially odd is that other employees were nearby and no one thought to take her aside and suggest that maybe the "bigger bridesmaid" had a name that could be used instead of repeatedly pointing out the fact that her size was slightly out of the single digit range. If you have a less than petite bridesmaid, I would strongly recommend that you go elsewhere where you can be treated with a little more respect and dignity. I have no idea if this particular girl is still working there, but if the owners have any sense, they'll realize that her attitude cost them at least one big sale (4 bridesmaid dresses) and possibly many more with people who didn't speak up.
