The worst patching and painting job I've ever seen in my life. The worst work ethic I've ever observed. For instance, to reach high places, instead of bringing a ladder like a normal contractor, this guy decided to stand on my personal property without asking. Being that I work at night, I'm a full-time graduate student, and I'm in the military, I would advise him to come around 8 o'clock in the morning. He would show up around 11 or 12. No heads up or anything. Very inconsiderate. Very disregarding. Very unprofessional. And his "team" was his unlicensed cousin visiting from out of town. That made me ask the owner where he went to school for his work, his response was "the school of hard knocks". I feel like this company takes advantage of women by gaslighting and manipulating. When I would say that there were certain areas on the wall that weren't painted with the color paint that I selected, he would tell me that it just looks like that because the paint is still wet. I would wait until the next day for it to "dry", and it would still be a different color. My bathroom was blue, and I had him to paint it an ivory color. I would still be able to see the blue underneath, and after informing him, he told me, "it's because you're just used to seeing the blue from before". On my bedroom ceiling, you could see the overlapping, because he only painted one layer. He would tell me that it only looks like that because there are shadows in the room. I asked him before he started painting if he needed me to clean the walls because I didn't want him painting over dust and dirt, his reply was that that's a part of painting, and that he would take care of it. I literally saw him paint over dust. In my bathroom, you are able to see large painted dust particles that have been rolled up by the paint. There are spots in my bedroom, where no paint came in contact with the wall at all. They didn't even paint behind the stairwell railing. And he sanded and painted the stairs, it looks like a child did it. There are also places where no paint should have common contact with things at all, like my ceiling fan, my light fixture, door hinges, stairwell railing, etc. Very horrible work. After showing my realtor the work that his recommendation left behind, even he stopped working with him. Zero out of 10. Do not recommend! Take your thousands of dollars elsewhere!!! I had to hire a different company to come in and fix his work. They ended up apologizing to me on his behalf for such a horrible job done.

We agreed bc our scheduled painter was backlogged and additional 2 wks. He passed the work off to an 'assistant' we never met before. The guy didn't prep AT ALL. There are stroke marks, everywhere, jagged lines along the trim. Very amateur. The patch job is worse! My kids could have done better. You literally SEE that it's a patch job. Bc he only painted the area he patched and then tried to pass it off as 'needing to dry' despite us pointing out how glaringly obvious the job was. To make matters worse we discovered they cracked the tub with their ladder bc they put the ladder IN the tub and then climbed it to do the work. My husband literally SAW the assistant with the ladder IN the tub and told him, 'I don't think that's a good idea.' The guy obviously continued to do it and as a result cracked the tub. Tom just left here after blaming the crack on the BUILDER (from 15 YEARS AGO) bc according to him they didn't insulate it enough so it's not his fault the tub was damaged by his ladder bc the ORIGINAL BUILDERS didn't install a tub that can withstand his stupidity. Tom is refusing to make this right, still hasn't completed to satisfaction the bathroom paint and patch job and how have left us back at square one and $700 in the hole PLUS the cost of a new tub and install smh. Our daughter just had her room redesigned as a gift for entering middle school and she can't even use her shower or bath. Smh. Super unprofessional. Very disappointing. Now we have to file a lawsuit in small claims court to recover the costs and attorneys fees. What SHOULD have been a simple in and out job has turned into a costly headache for our family. If you value customer service and someone who will honor their word, I'd look elsewhere.

But he still coordinated his guys to send someone out to see what was happening. Sadly, we discovered that all of the copper pipes in our house were on the verge of leaking, and all of them needed to be replaced. James and his crew came out this week, and took care of the job in a timely manner. They showed up between 9:00am and 9:30am (our preference) every morning and worked a full day. They did not leave a mess at the end of any day, and there was nothing to clean up at the end of the job. The price was very reasonable - high enough that I think that they can live off of the money without eating ramen, but low enough I don't feel like I was robbed. Everyone was quite friendly. Not just polite, but friendly in a way that I looked forward to seeing them despite the circumstances. I already asked them to come back and look at a problem with our sliding glass doors. Overall, Eagle-Built Construction is one of these rare family businesses that provide quality service for a reasonable price.
