The location was about a 10 minute walk from the tourist center, which worked out great for my friend and I as we liked exploring the non tourist parts as well. The hotel itself was a great size, not too big, and had a friendly staff along with a rooftop pool. They didn't even mind if you brought your own beer up there! They also had a hot water station in the lobby with free instant coffee, tea, and cookies. The rooms were good as well. Water was hot, air conditioning was cold. The biggest problem was that my bed was hard as a rock! My friend loved it, I did not. My sleep quality was not the best here.

Upon walking in, the lobby was not very impressive but the gentleman at the front desk was very helpful. Our room was on the first floor and when we walked in, we were super impressed. The room was very clean, modern and had comfy beds. The AC was great and worked perfectly. The bathroom was quite tiny and a little challenging to get in and out of (one person at a time) but was still clean and kept up to date. One impressive part of this boutique hotel is the top. Such a high view of the city, with nice chairs and a small but luxurious little pool. We were lucky in that the two times we went up there, no one else was there. I can imagine that if more than a few people are up there at the same time, it may not be as enjoyable. All in all, we felt like we got a great deal and would absolutely stay here again.

However, we had several issues. 1) Baby Roaches. It's wasn't HORRIBLE and it was understandable as to why we had them (ground level, heat, and near the beach) But it still sucked and was scary cause Ewwww! 2) No Hot Water. For two days we had to shower with COLD water. We brought it to their attention and had to mention it to them twice.. Of coursed it was fixed the day we were leaving. -_- 3) Power Outage. Friends of ours stayed on another room/floor and had power issues. The outlets and TV weren't working which sucked (no phone charger - good thing they had portable ones) However, the rooms were cleaned everyday and cleaned well. Super happy about THAT. We didn't stay in our room much - literally just to shower and sleep.

I loved the chair swing on the patio. Make sure you check out the roof with a view of the ocean and take time to admire the art throughout the property. I really liked that this hotel is located right on 5th Ave but the room was not noisy at night. It's also very close to the beach!! The staff was nice and helpful. I definitely recommend this hotel.
