My dad is now a resident at Masonicare in their assisted living section. He's been there a little…read moreover one month. The staff is friendly and helpful. The facility always looks and smells clean. They provide rides to doctor's appointments and have relationships with excellent healthcare providers and a pharmacy that delivers. I toured three facilities before choosing Masonicare and am SO happy with this choice. My dad likes the location, "most" of the people (LOL), and says the food is "pretty good" which is pretty high praise from him. (Before he moved we tried Meals on Wheels, which he described as "inedible".) They have a lot of activities and although he doesn't participate in all of them, he's enjoyed the ones he has. He has a one bedroom apartment with a walk-in closet, and a small separate living room and kitchenette, which works well for him. Although he'd prefer to be at "home" (now sold), he says Masonicare is a good second option. This really is phenomenal given he originally refused to consider assisted living. Highly recommend checking out Masonicare if you are looking for either independent senior living or assisted living.

The building itself definitely needs a lot of upkeep work but overall the friendliness of this establishment was commendable.

She was only there for 3 days. The third day is when she called me at 2:45PM as she was allowed to sleep all day as this drug camp is primarily run by the kids, she couldn't remember her own birthday , and thought I was in California because I told her the time and she believed that I gave her a different time than the actual time placing me in a different time zone. They drugged her 4X the dose for her body to handle. After I spoke to her for about 30 seconds as she couldn't hold a sentence let alone a conversation , I immediately called the nurses line. (The kids have unlimited access to the phones and drugs) . I voiced my concerns about my girlfriend and how bad she sounded on the phone. The nurses said they were doing paperwork but would relay my concern to the detox unit. 4 hours later I get a call from STONINGTON telling me that my girlfriend is at the EMERGENCY ROOM in a hospital in Rhode Island and I need to call over there if I want any answers. I spoke to a lovely nurse , Brian , at the hospital in Rhode Island who said that the stonington institute gave her a lethal dose of one of the 8 she had been given . She was in the ER for over 12 hours. Today she is finally feeling better. This happened 3 days ago. If you want a homeless shelter to do street drugs at you've found your home. Do not go here if you love yourself or your future .
