Yes, it's true. After relocating up here to Seattle, my wife and I attended our first Storm game, and that was all it took. OMG, where have I been for the last decade? Has my head been buried in the sand, or more likely, inside of a string of books!?!?!???? I guess so, because it's like I never really knew that the WNBA even existed (though I did know). If you love sports, and you live in, or near, Seattle.... don't walk.... RUN to the nearest computer, and buy yourself a ticket to a Storm game. You will not be disappointed. Lauren Jackson, Sue Bird, Swin Cash, Svetlana Abrosimova, Tanisha Wright, Camille Little, Le'coe Willingham, Abby Bishop, Jana Vesela, Alison Lacey and Ashley Robinson are AMAZING to watch on the court (and some of them are VERY lovely on the eyes!!!!!!). So what are you waiting for? A personal invitation from the team mascot, Doppler? The tickets are very reasonably priced ($20 can get you 5th row seats!), the crowd at the Key gets loud and pumped, and the team puts on a good show night in and night out. Their March To The Match is one of the greatest things in all of sport all over the world. Obafemi Martins for me was the best player they ever had but Clint Dempsey surely did a lot of great stuff too. One of the greatest football teams in the country and certainly a perfect example of what the United States can give to the world in football, which silly Americans call soccer. Seattle have the greatest crowd in MLS and the greatest fans and there's just nothing like the home crowd of Seattle. Portland does a miniature version of this and the Canadians do a good job as well - and I mean a really good job - and don't forget Atlanta, but there is absolutely nothing quite like what Seattle gave to, and continues to give to, the league. For this reason it will always be one of my favorite MLS team. Seattle plays in the Century Link Seahawks stadium which is enormous and built for the NFL. It can get a little bit lonely on one of the quiet days but when there's a big game for Seattle and this place gets full you would think you were in one of the palaces of European soccer.

The seasons the Seawolves won were in 2018 and 2019, and the 2022 MLR Western Conference Championship. They play at Starfire Sports, a 4,500-seat stadium in Tukwila, WA. Their Tagline is "Together we hunt." They can be watched on Root Sports northwest, but we know the best way is to see games live at Starfire sports field which is a multi-use field. Their team colors are similar to the Seattle Seahawks with a dark blue, green and white color scheme. I had the pleasure of seeing a match as a friend is a fan and on/off player. Currently the some of the most notable players are AJ Alatimu who holds the title of top scorer for the team at - 321 and Riekert Hattingh 39 attempts. All have their own style and cool attributes. The Kraken are right there with the best! Climate Pledge Arena is phenomenal with the ease, layout, good food, and amenities. Even more, the fan energy is the best I've seen-- super engaged throughout and positive no matter what, stadium is nearly full every game I've been to, tons of Kraken jerseys, and there's love for the players. The integration of the Junior Kraken and kids is awesome, too. My daughter loves the DJ and the Kpop mix. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Security is reasonable on checks and speed. And the mix of multimedia and game focus is a superb mix. Be it for a one-time experience or because you went and can't help but keep going back... it's fun to RELEASE THE KRAKEN

It started in 2018 when the NHL approved Seattle to have the 32nd franchise, two years later the teams name is revealed - Seattle Kraken which I think they did a good job with. The name, colors and emblem are all pretty cool. 2021 They add 30 players in the expansion draft and would play their first preseason game against the Vancouver Canucks. Again, to the present, Kraken are making a playoff run just two years into their inception. I'm not a huge NHL fan I'm in the spirit of a new team being in town, and enjoy seeing true hockey fans embracing it. Hopefully Basketball comes back. Until then, maybe I'll check out a regular season game in the next one. Go Kraken!
