Overall a well organized experience and a lot of fun. The only negative was when we were denied access to the disabled section even though we had carried proof of disability. Not the greatest way to treat a disabled veteran. One star off for not having enough seating for the disabled. read more

Ok. I have to preface this review by saying. I'm not from Seattle but have been a HUGE Russell Wilson fan since his days at Collegiate High School in Va. My little brother played vs him. Anyway, I consider myself a sports fan. Still can't believe they didn't run the ball! I reserve my energy for games and activities surrounding them to attend live very sparingly, because of the normal clusters of chaos that they are. However, my experience attending training camp this year with my 13-year-old sister was shockingly smooth. From the time we arrived at the parking garages, check-in and loading the busses, everything is run like a well-oiled machine. Seriously. I pride myself on event organization and found that there wasn't anything that the Seahawks event management team had not thought of. So here's the break down: FREE Parking: the signage is super clear about where to park for training camp. They do this because you're in a shopping center where regular customers are, and they want to ensure you're not using spaces designated for shoppers. Each level of the parking garage had multiple attendants to provide directional assistance and let you know to keep driving to a certain level, instead of pulling into the first available space you may have seen. I suppose they were filling the garage from top to bottom but the system worked well. I even saw they had a designated area for parking for those who needed ADA access, had wheelchairs, or families with small children. Once parked the signs were very clear toward the stairs (or elevators if you needed it) for how to get down to the main level. Check-in: Once on the main level, they had many workers again providing directional assistance to let you know if you were checking in you needed to have a ticket. They had a well-marked path that was roped off from anyone who would attempt to jump the line to head into the building where they were scanning tickets and then assigning a wristband with the date of the day you had training camp access. For us, it was July 30th (yes, this is a late post). The line moved extremally quickly. They had multiple staff checking tickets and providing assistance (if you needed it) for putting on your wristband. That wristband is gold, you could not access the bus or even the line to go through security without it. Security: Once you had your wristband (let's see how many times I will need to type that word...lol) you were allowed to go through their security. This is where you walked through a magnetometer (like at the airport), and put your bags through for someone to check them. It was a general search for any prohibited items. Bags needed to be the NFL regulation clear and size appropriate. You were allowed to bring factory sealed water and light snacks. Chairs were allowed without their cases, as were blankets, etc. Bus: After passing security you were whisked away by a school bus. They had multiple lines for bus stops, so it never felt crowded. We were 2nd in line for our bus and our wait was less than 5 min. They had the first two sets of seats on the bus reserved for those with babies/strollers or the elderly. The ride there was smooth and you were dropped off right at the practice facility entrance. Drop-off: Once offloaded we were met by the band, which was pretty cool. The Seahawks Cheerleaders and both mascots were there taking photos with people for free (using your own camera). A free water station and pro-shop was available. Traning Camp: The field was immaculate and the facility had misting fans because we were there during apparently record heat. We are from the East Coast so it seemed normal to us. We were able to go down to the field right at the barrier to watch players warm up before practice. We saw Brandon Marshall and others. Russell didn't come out until much later so our view of him was from the far sideline. For some reason much of the practice that day the team when scrimmaging used the far side field closest to the VIP tents. We did see Ciara there and her kids, which was cool. Bring bicolours. The fan experience: We paid extra to have our photo taken on the field during practice with the mascot. But remember I told you the mascots greet you shortly after you get off the bus. So, had I known that in advance I would have saved the money. You honestly are on the field for such a brief time (less than 5 min). You are given a commemorative lanyard though which is cool and makes for a great souvenir. The better deal is to get the VIP package (if available) so that you can have that view the entire couple hours you're there. Which also includes food and snacks. They email you a copy of the pictures they took they say within 2 weeks of the event. But we got ours within 24 hours. Food: There were tents there with the usual food available for purchase, hot dogs, hamburgers, and Dip and Dots. After camp was over Safeway was giving away free fruit popsicles which was PERFECT after baking in the sun. read more

The training camp facilities are located just north of Renton and New Castle on the east side of Lake Washington. You can see the big building and the practice field from the highway. One of the players flys his boat plane to work and lands on the lake. That is way cool. I'm a huge Seahawk fan, so going to the practice facility was awesome. Plenty of room but lots of 12's - Seattle fans love the Hawks. So much blue and green Bathroom lines are not bad. Food and snacks good prices. (Popcorn/shaved ice and more) Water $2. GO HAWKS! First thing's first - as soon as you find out when tickets are sold online for Training Camp, make a note, stick it on your computer monitor, and make a plan to get online five minutes before you buy tickets. IT SELLS OUT SOON AFTER THEY GO LIVE. I cannot stress that enough. I do this every year, and honestly, was surprised I finally made it through this year and got tickets for a game. By the time I was finished with my one transaction - the rest of the games were sold out. (12s really are the best fans!!!) There is plenty of instruction once you get your e-mail with the tickets, and you even get another e-mail a few days before your visit to Training Camp with FAQ, parking instructions, guidelines, etc... You park at The Landing and a shuttle takes you to VMAC the day of. GET TO THE LANDING EARLY. If a practice starts at 10AM, get to The Landing by 7AM. My friend got there before me at 8AM and said there were already two buses that passed him by the time he got in the line. So when we ended up getting to VMAC, all the good/front seating was taken. When you're at The Landing, there will be plenty of signage for registration. You don't have to print your tickets; you can just show them from your phone and they'll be able to scan the barcode on the tickets. They then give you wristbands, and you will go through security before getting on the bus. This year - they implemented a clear bag policy. Once you're at VMAC, there's a Seahawks store, food trucks, Sea Gals, Blitz, Blue Thunder and other vendors set-up. For bathrooms they have Honeybuckets lined up. When you're on the grass area where the fans hang out, most everyone will be set up at front and in the center of the field. It's pretty spread out, but because so many people get there early - it can be difficult to get a seat up front. You can also stand the entire time by the fence, which I highly recommend doing if you want to get autographs. Speaking of - autographs occur at the end of practice, and not every player will be available for an autograph. It really just depends if the player wants to walk over to the crowd and start signing merchandise. Don't forget your Sharpie! The practice is actually really cool to watch. They do scrimmages, warm-ups and you're able to see the new recruits play with the old-timers. If you're a huge fan - you will love it. The practice lasts about two hours. I always look forward to going to this every summer, and love seeing how excited everyone is for SEAHAWKS season! It's a fun event and one I'd recommend for any 12. read more

Could not be more disappointed. The team practiced on a field FAR away from the fans. We couldn't see ANY plays. To make it worse, Hip Hop was blasting through speakers the entire time. So not only could we not see any of the plays or players that we had been looking forward to seeing, we couldn't hear any of them or the coaches either! There was a full football field right in front of the fans that they could have used. Our friends from out of town couldn't believe that the Seahawks disrespected the fans so much. read more

Another great year of camp so far! Have attended one day, got three more to go! Pretty much the same as last year - but the Sports Authority discount has dropped though from 20% off to 15% off. Be aware if you want a good spot on the fence for autographs - people have been lining up anywhere from 4am-6am to get their wristbands. CRAZY! Also. The staff has been rather unorganized this year .And there are 2 guys in particular that are extremely rude - both times we've gone so far this year they have rude to us. We went to this in 2017 and I was surprised at how well organized it was. They had everything set up for the shuttles and it was easy to figure out what to do. Once there, there was food options and lots of space on the lawn to sit. Make sure to bring a blanket or something to sit on! read more

The actual camp was great... I flew from California to be with my birth family during rough times and my Sister and Dad took me to my first Seahawks training camp! We were at the training camp seated in the ADA section because my birth dad has been stuck in a boot for the past year. We were treated like VIP and seated so close, we were just so excited to see which players we would get signatures from!! ... but when the time came the entire ADA (handicap) section was ignored ... only a few players were nice enough to stop and sign things whether they had time to do so or not... and that was only after my sister and I had to flag them down for the entire section pointing out that not a single player would come over. The whole place was almost cleared out by the time we got signatures. Most of the ADA section had already left in disappointment. Some even left in tears or anger .. saddening me greatly. Shout outs to the awesome players who cared ! Especially Jordan Roos who ran a football out to a bam bam "just in case" , Mike Tyson for coming back to finish signatures of the small group, and Thomas Rawls for running by and doing the fastest signing I'd ever seen... just to make sure we got signatures.. even though it was obvious he didn't have time. The experience was awesome, but when I complained and asked an attendant to please have someone to point to passing players that we were there... she said the players just don't know better... blah blah .. "I hear you " (I'm not going to do anything about it ) power play. read more

Why haven't more people reviewed training camp?? It's the Hawks up close and personal. I've been two years in a row now, and let me just say that this sporting "event" is more organized than most. The lines get long but they move really quickly and though you have to wait for a bus to take you to the VMAC from The Landing, that wait isn't very long either (there are constantly buses coming and going). The food options last summer weren't great but this year, they've stepped things up a little by bringing in Metropolitan Grill's BBQ sandwiches. If that doesn't appeal to you, you can also bring your own food. They also have Sports Authority for on-site Seahawks' apparel purchases and last minute souvenirs if you want to try and get an autograph. Then, you get to relax on the grass and watch two hours of Hawks' warm-ups, skill practices, and scrimmages. It might only be practice, but it always gets me pumped for football season. And it makes for a fun alternative if you can't get your hands on game tickets. Go Hawks! read more

This was my 1st time attending training camp even though I am a long time fan. I am so glad that I was able to this year because it is an experience like no other. The food is not overpriced, it's super family friendly and what is not to love about the Hawks? I love the music, love seeing the guys get ready for the upcoming season and how passionate they are. Well I tried checking in for training camp a couple days ago and this address popped up. So this review is really for the training camp and not the ticket office, front office, or players. The training camp is pretty well organized considering it buses in 1000 people a day. I have been to training camp in Kirkland and Cheney before and I preferred those mostly because autographs were easier. I do wish there were more food options and had tours of the facility. read more
